13 Ecco, questa è la terza volta che vengo da voi. «Ogni parola sarà confermata per la bocca di due o tre testimoni»,
2 L'ho detto prima, quando ero presente tra di voi per la seconda volta, e lo dichiaro ora che sono assente. Scrivo a quelli che hanno in precedenza peccato e a tutti gli altri che, se vengo di nuovo, non risparmierò nessuno.
3 Poiché voi cercate la prova del Cristo che parla in me, ed egli non è debole verso di voi, ma è potente in voi.
4 Se egli infatti è stato crocifisso per la sua debolezza, ora però vive per la potenza di Dio, perché anche noi siamo deboli in lui, ma vivremo con lui per la potenza di Dio verso di voi.
5 Esaminate voi stessi per vedere se siete nella fede; provate voi stessi. Non riconoscete voi stessi che Gesú Cristo è in voi? A meno che non siate riprovati.
6 Ma io spero che voi riconoscerete che noi non siamo riprovati.
7 Or prego Dio che non facciate alcun male, non perché noi appariamo approvati, ma perché voi facciate quel che è bene anche se noi dovessimo essere riprovati.
8 Noi infatti non abbiamo alcuna forza contro la verità, ma solo per la verità.
9 Ora noi ci rallegriamo quando siamo deboli, e voi siete forti; e noi preghiamo anche per questo: per il vostro perfezionamento.
10 Perciò scrivo queste cose, essendo assente, affinché, quando sarò presente, non proceda rigidamente, secondo l'autorità che il Signore mi ha dato per l'edificazione e non per la distruzione.
11 Del resto, fratelli, rallegratevi, perfezionatevi, incoraggiatevi, abbiate la stessa mente, state in pace; e il Dio dell'amore e della pace sarà con voi.
12 Salutatevi gli uni gli altri con un santo bacio;
13 tutti i santi vi salutano.
14 La grazia del Signore Gesú Cristo, l'amore di Dio e la comunione dello Spirito Santo siano con tutti voi. Amen.

تَنْبِيهَاتٌ أخِيرَة
13 هَذِهِ هِيَ المَرَّةُ الثَّالِثَةُ الَّتِي سَآتِي فِيهَا لِزِيَارَتِكُمْ. فَكَمَا يَقُولُ الكِتَابُ: «تَتَثَبَّتُ كُلُّ مَسألَةٍ بِشَهَادَةِ شَاهِدَينِ أوْ ثَلَاثَةٍ.»[a] 2 فَحِينَ زُرتُكُمْ لِلمَرَّةِ الثَّانِيَةِ أنذَرتُكُمْ، وَهَا أنَا أُنذِرُكُمْ ثَانِيَةً وَأنَا بَعِيدٌ عَنْكُمْ. فَأقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ أخطَأُوا مِنْ قَبْلُ وَلِكُلِّ مَنْ يُخطِئُ إنَّنِي إنْ جِئتُ ثَانِيَةً، لَنْ أُشفِقَ عَلَيْهِمْ. 3 لِأنَّكُمْ تَبْحَثُونَ عَنْ بُرهَانٍ أنَّ المَسِيحَ يَتَكَلَّمُ فِعلًا بِوَاسِطَتِي، مَعَ أنَّ المَسِيحَ لَيْسَ ضَعِيفًا لَكُمْ، بَلْ هُوَ قَوِيٌّ بَيْنَكُمْ. 4 صَحِيحٌ أنَّهُ مَاتَ ضَعِيفًا عَلَى الصَّلِيبِ، لَكِنَّهُ الآنَ حَيٌّ بِقُوَّةِ اللهِ. وَصَحِيحٌ أيْضًا أنَّنَا ضُعَفَاءُ فِيهِ، لَكِنَّنَا سَنَحيَا مَعَهُ الآنَ بِقُوَّةِ اللهِ عِنْدَمَا نَتَعَامَلُ مَعَكُمْ.
5 فَافْحَصُوا أنْفُسَكُمْ لِتَعْرِفُوا إنْ كُنْتُمْ تَحْيَونَ بِالإيمَانِ. امتَحِنُوا أنْفُسَكُمْ. أمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ لَا تُدرِكُونَ أنَّ يَسُوعَ المَسِيحَ فِيكُمْ؟ إلَّا إنْ كُنْتُمْ قَدْ فَشِلتُمْ فِي الامتِحَانِ!
6 غَيْرَ أنِّي أرْجُو أنْ تُدرِكُوا أنَّنَا لَمْ نَفشَلْ. 7 وَنَحْنُ نَدعُو اللهَ ألَّا تُخطِئُوا! لَا لِكَي نَظهَرَ نَحْنُ كَنَاجِحِينَ، بَلْ لِكَي تَفْعَلُوا أنْتُمْ مَا هُوَ صَوَابٌ، حَتَّى لَوْ عَنَى ذَلِكَ أنْ نَظهَرَ نَحْنُ كَأنَّنَا فَشِلنَا. 8 فَنَحْنُ لَا نَسْتَطِيعُ أنْ نَفعَلَ شَيْئًا مُنَافِيًا لِلحَقِّ، بَلْ مِنْ أجْلِ الحَقِّ. 9 وَإنَّهُ لَيُسعِدُنَا أنْ نَكُونَ نَحْنُ ضُعَفَاءَ وَأنْتُمْ أقوِيَاءَ! لَكِنَّنَا نُصَلِّي أنْ يُصلَحَ حَالُكُمْ. 10 لِهَذَا أكتُبُ هَذهِ الأشْيَاءَ وَأنَا بَعِيدٌ عَنْكُمْ، لِئَلَّا أُضطَرَّ عِنْدَمَا آتِي إلَى التَّعَامُلِ مَعكُمْ بِشِدَّةٍ. لِأنَّ السُّلطَانَ الَّذِي مَنَحَهُ الرَّبُّ لِي هُوَ مِنْ أجْلِ بُنيَانِكُمْ، لَا مِنْ أجْلِ هَدمِكُمْ.
11 أخِيرًا أيُّهَا الإخْوَةُ، تَحِيَّةً لَكُمْ.
اسْعَوْا إلَى الكَمَالِ. اقبَلُوا مَا قُلنَاهُ لَكُمْ. وَهُوَ أنْ تَكُونُوا مُتَّحِدينَ فِي الرَّأيِ. عِيشُوا فِي سَلَامٍ. وَسَيَكُونُ مَعَكُمُ اللهُ الَّذِي هُوَ مَصدَرُ المَحَبَّةِ وَالسَّلَامِ.
12 لِيُحَيِّي بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضًا بِقُبلَةٍ مُقَدَّسَةٍ.
13 يُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْكُمْ جَمِيعُ المُؤمِنِينَ المُقَدَّسِينَ.
14 لِتَكُنْ نِعْمَةُ الرَّبِّ يَسُوعَ المَسِيحِ، وَمَحَبَّةُ اللهِ، وَشَرِكَةُ الرُّوحِ القُدُسِ مَعَكُمْ جَمِيعًا. آمِين.

13 This will be (A)the third time I am coming to you. (B)“By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established.” 2 (C)I have told you before, and foretell as if I were present the second time, and now being absent [a]I write to those (D)who have sinned before, and to all the rest, that if I come again (E)I will not spare— 3 since you seek a proof of Christ (F)speaking in me, who is not weak toward you, but mighty (G)in you. 4 (H)For though He was crucified in weakness, yet (I)He lives by the power of God. For (J)we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you.
5 Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, (K)that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you [b]are (L)disqualified. 6 But I trust that you will know that we are not disqualified.
Paul Prefers Gentleness
7 Now [c]I pray to God that you do no evil, not that we should appear approved, but that you should do what is honorable, though (M)we may seem disqualified. 8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth. 9 For we are glad (N)when we are weak and you are strong. And this also we pray, (O)that you may be made complete. 10 (P)Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the (Q)authority which the Lord has given me for edification and not for destruction.

11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Become complete. (R)Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love (S)and peace will be with you.

2 I told you before, and foretell you, as if I were present, the second time; and being absent now I write to them which heretofore have sinned, and to all other, that, if I come again, I will not spare:
3 Since ye seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, which to you-ward is not weak, but is mighty in you.
4 For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you.
