24 耶稣出了圣殿，往前走的时候，门徒前来把圣殿的建筑指给他看。 2 他对门徒说：“你们不是看见了这一切吗？我实在告诉你们，将来在这里必没有一块石头留在另一块石头上面，每一块都要拆下来。”
这世代终结的预兆(B)
3 耶稣坐在橄榄山上，门徒暗中前来问他：“请告诉我们，甚么时候会有这些事呢？你的降临和这世代的终结，有甚么预兆呢？” 4 耶稣回答他们：“你们要小心，不要被人迷惑； 5 因为许多人要假冒我的名而来，说：‘我就是基督’，并且要迷惑许多的人。 6 你们要听见战争，也听见战争的风声；你们要小心，不要惊慌，因为这是免不了的，不过结局还没有到。 7 一个民族要起来攻打另一个民族，一个国家要起来攻打另一个国家，到处都有饥荒和地震， 8 这一切不过是痛苦的开始。 9 那时人要把你们送去受苦，也要杀害你们，你们要因我的名被万民恨恶。 10 那时许多人会失去信仰，彼此出卖，互相恨恶； 11 也有许多假先知出现，要迷惑许多人。 12 因为不法的事增加，许多人的爱心就冷淡了。 13 唯有坚忍到底的，必然得救。 14 这天国的福音要传遍天下，向万民作见证，然后结局才来到。

15 “当你们看见但以理先知所说的‘那造成荒凉的可憎者’，站在圣地的时候（读者必须领悟）， 16 那时，住在犹太的应当逃到山上； 17 在房顶的不要下来拿家里的东西； 18 在田里的也不要回去取衣服。 19 当那些日子，怀孕的和乳养孩子的有祸了！ 20 你们应当祈求，叫你们逃难的时候，不是在冬天或安息日， 21 因为那时必有大灾难，这是从世界的开始到现在未曾有过的，以后也必不会再有。 22 如果那些日子不减少，没有一个人可以存活；但是为了选民，那些日子必会减少。 23 那时，如果有人对你们说：‘看哪，基督在这里！’或说：‘他在那里！’你们不要信， 24 因为必有假基督和假先知出现，显大神迹和奇事；如果可以的话，他们连选民也要迷惑。 25 你们看！我已经事先告诉你们了。 26 如果他们对你们说：‘看！基督在旷野里。’你们不要出去；或说：‘看！他在内室里。’也不要相信。 27 电光怎样从东方闪出来，一直照到西方，人子降临的时候，也是这样。 28 尸首在哪里，鹰也必聚在哪里。

29 “那些日子的灾难刚过去：

32 “你们应该从无花果树学个功课：树枝长出嫩芽生出叶子的时候，你们就知道夏天近了； 33 同样，当你们看见这一切，就知道人子已经近在门口了。 34 我实在告诉你们，这一切都必要发生，然后这世代才会过去。 35 天地都要过去，但我的话决不会废去。

45 “谁是忠心和精明的仆人，被主人指派管理全家，按时分派粮食的呢？ 46 主人来到，看见他这样作，那仆人就有福了。 47 我实在告诉你们，主人要指派他管理自己的一切财产。 48 如果他是个坏的仆人，心里说‘我的主人不会那么快回来’， 49 就动手打其他的仆人，又和醉酒的人吃喝。 50 在他想不到的日子，不知道的时间，那仆人的主人要来， 51 严厉地处罚他，使他和虚伪的人同在一起；在那里必要哀哭切齿。”

यीशु द्वारा मन्दिर के विनाश की भविष्यवाणी
(मरकुस 13:1-31; लूका 21:5-33)
24 मन्दिर को छोड़ कर यीशु जब वहाँ से होकर जा रहा था तो उसके शिष्य उसे मन्दिर के भवन दिखाने उसके पास आये। 2 इस पर यीशु ने उनसे कहा, “तुम इन भवनों को सीधे खड़े देख रहे हो? मैं तुम्हें सच बताता हूँ, यहाँ एक पत्थर पर दूसरा पत्थर टिका नहीं रहेगा। एक एक पत्थर गिरा दिया जायेगा।”
3 यीशु जब जैतून पर्वत[a] पर बैठा था तो एकांत में उसके शिष्य उसके पास आये और बोले, “हमें बता यह कब घटेगा? जब तू वापस आयेगा और इस संसार का अंत होने को होगा तो कैसे संकेत प्रकट होंगे?”
4 उत्तर में यीशु ने उनसे कहा, “सावधान! तुम लोगों को कोई छलने न पाये। 5 मैं यह इसलिए कह रहा हूँ कि ऐसे बहुत से हैं जो मेरे नाम से आयेंगे और कहेंगे ‘मैं मसीह हूँ’ और वे बहुतों को छलेंगे। 6 तुम पास के युद्धों की बातें या दूर के युद्धों की अफवाहें सुनोगे पर देखो तुम घबराना मत! ऐसा तो होगा ही किन्तु अभी अंत नहीं आया है। 7 हर एक जाति दूसरी जाति के विरोध में और एक राज्य दूसरे राज्य के विरोध में खड़ा होगा। अकाल पड़ेंगें। हर कहीं भूचाल आयेंगे। 8 किन्तु ये सब बातें तो केवल पीड़ाओं का आरम्भ ही होगा।
9 “उस समय वे तुम्हें दण्ड दिलाने के लिए पकड़वायेंगे, और वे तुम्हें मरवा डालेंगे। क्योंकि तुम मेरे शिष्य हो, सभी जातियों के लोग तुमसे घृणा करेंगे। 10 उस समय बहुत से लोगों का मोह टूट जायेगा और विश्वास डिग जायेगा। वे एक दूसरे को अधिकारियों के हाथों सौंपेंगे और परस्पर घृणा करेंगे। 11 बहुत से झूठे नबी उठ खड़े होंगे और लोगों को ठगेंगे। 12 क्योंकि अधार्मिकता बढ़ जायेगी सो बहुत से लोगों का प्रेम ठंडा पड़ जायेगा। 13 किन्तु जो अंत तक टिका रहेगा उसका उद्धार होगा। 14 स्वर्ग के राज्य का यह सुसमाचार समस्त विश्व में सभी जातियों को साक्षी के रूप में सुनाया जाएगा और तभी अन्त आएगा।
15 “इसलिए जब तुम लोग ‘भयानक विनाशकारी वस्तु को,’ जिसका उल्लेख दानिय्येल नबी द्वारा किया गया था, मन्दिर के पवित्र स्थान पर खड़े देखो।” (पढ़ने वाला स्वयं समझ ले कि इसका अर्थ क्या है) 16 “तब जो लोग यहूदिया में हों उन्हें पहाड़ों पर भाग जाना चाहिये। 17 जो अपने घर की छत पर हों, वह घर से बाहर कुछ भी ले जाने के लिए नीचे न उतरें। 18 और जो बाहर खेतों में काम कर रहें हों, वह पीछे मुड़ कर अपने वस्त्र तक न लें।
19 “उन स्त्रियों के लिये, जो गर्भवती होंगी या जिनके दूध पीते बच्चे होंगे, वे दिन बहुत कष्ट के होंगे। 20 प्रार्थना करो कि तुम्हें सर्दियों के दिनों या सब्त के दिन भागना न पड़े। 21 उन दिनों ऐसी विपत्ति आयेगी जैसी जब से परमेश्वर ने यह सृष्टि रची है, आज तक कभी नहीं आयी और न कभी आयेगी।
22 “और यदि परमेश्वर ने उन दिनों को घटाने का निश्चय न कर लिया होता तो कोई भी न बचता किन्तु अपने चुने हुओं के कारण वह उन दिनों को कम करेगा।
23 “उन दिनों यदि कोई तुम लोगों से कहे, ‘देखो, यह रहा मसीह!’ 24 या ‘वह रहा मसीह’ तो उसका विश्वास मत करना। मैं यह कहता हूँ क्योंकि कपटी मसीह और कपटी नबी खड़े होंगे और ऐसे ऐसे आश्चर्य चिन्ह दिखायेंगे और अदभुत काम करेंगे कि बन पड़े तो वह चुने हुओं को भी चकमा दे दें। 25 देखो मैंने तुम्हें पहले ही बता दिया है।
26 “सो यदि वे तुमसे कहें, ‘देखो वह जंगल में है’ तो वहाँ मत जाना और यदि वे कहें, ‘देखो वह उन कमरों के भीतर छुपा है’ तो उनका विश्वास मत करना। 27 मैं यह कह रहा हूँ क्योंकि जैसे बिजली पूरब में शुरू होकर पश्चिम के आकाश तक कौंध जाती है वैसे ही मनुष्य का पुत्र भी प्रकट होगा! 28 जहाँ कहीं लाश होगी वहीं गिद्ध इकट्ठे होंगे।
29 “उन दिनों जो मुसीबत पड़ेगी उसके तुरंत बाद:
‘सूरज काला पड़ जायेगा,
चाँद से उसकी चाँदनी नहीं छिटकेगी
आसमान से तारे गिरने लगेंगे
और आकाश में महाशक्तियाँ झकझोर दी जायेंगी।’[b]
30 “उस समय मनुष्य के पुत्र के आने का संकेत आकाश में प्रकट होगा। तब पृथ्वी पर सभी जातियों के लोग विलाप करेंगे और वे मनुष्य के पुत्र को शक्ति और महिमा के साथ स्वर्ग के बादलों में प्रकट होते देखेंगे। 31 वह ऊँचे स्वर की तुरही के साथ अपने दूतों को भेजेगा। फिर वे स्वर्ग के एक छोर से दूसरे छोर तक सब कहीं से अपने चुने हुए लोगों को इकट्ठा करेगा।
32 “अंजीर के पेड़ से शिक्षा लो। जैसे ही उसकी टहनियाँ कोमल हो जाती हैं और कोंपलें फूटने लगती हैं तुम लोग जान जाते हो कि गर्मियाँ आने को हैं। 33 वैसे ही जब तुम यह सब घटित होते हुए देखो तो समझ जाना कि वह समय निकट आ पहुँचा है, बल्कि ठीक द्वार तक। 34 मैं तुम लोगों से सत्य कहता हूँ कि इस पीढ़ी के लोगों के जीते जी ही ये सब बातें घटेंगी। 35 चाहे धरती और आकाश मिट जायें किन्तु मेरा वचन कभी नहीं मिटेगा।”
केवल परमेश्वर जानता है कि वह समय कब आएगा

36 “उस दिन या उस घड़ी के बारे में कोई कुछ नहीं जानता। न स्वर्ग में दूत और न स्वयं पुत्र। केवल परम पिता जानता है।
37 “जैसे नूह के दिनों में हुआ, वैसे ही मनुष्य के पुत्र का आना भी होगा। 38 वैसे ही जैसे लोग जलप्रलय आने से पहले के दिनों तक खाते-पीते रहे, ब्याह-शादियाँ रचाते रहे जब तक नूह नाव पर नहीं चढ़ा। 39 उन्हें तब तक कुछ पता नहीं चला जब तक जलप्रलय न आ गया और उन सब को बहा नहीं ले गया।
“मनुष्य के पुत्र का आना भी ऐसा ही होगा। 40 उस समय खेत में काम करते दो आदमियों में से एक को उठा लिया जायेगा और एक को वहीं छोड़ दिया जायेगा। 41 चक्की पीसती दो औरतों में से एक उठा ली जायेगी और एक वहीं पीछे छोड़ दी जायेगी।
42 “सो तुम लोग सावधान रहो क्योंकि तुम नहीं जानते कि तुम्हारा स्वामी कब आ जाये। 43 याद रखो यदि घर का स्वामी जानता कि रात को किस घड़ी चोर आ जायेगा तो वह सजग रहता और चोर को अपने घर में सेंध नहीं लगाने देता। 44 इसलिए तुम भी तैयार रहो क्योंकि तुम जब उसकी सोच भी नहीं रहे होगे, मनुष्य का पुत्र आ जायेगा।
अच्छे सेवक और बुरे सेवक

45 “तब सोचो वह भरोसेमंद सेवक कौन है, जिसे स्वामी ने अपने घर के सेवकों के ऊपर उचित समय उन्हें उनका भोजन देने के लिए लगाया है। 46 धन्य है वह सेवक जिसे उसका स्वामी जब आता है तो कर्तव्य करते पाता है। 47 मैं तुमसे सत्य कहता हूँ वह स्वामी उसे अपनी समूची सम्पत्ति का अधिकारी बना देगा।
48 “दूसरी तरफ़ सोचो एक बुरा दास है, जो अपने मन में कहता है मेरा स्वामी बहुत दिनों से वापस नहीं आ रहा है। 49 सो वह अपने साथी दासों से मार पीट करने लगता है और शराबियों के साथ खाना पीना शुरु कर देता है। 50 तो उसका स्वामी ऐसे दिन आ जायेगा जिस दिन वह उसके आने की सोचता तक नहीं और जिसका उसे पता तक नहीं। 51 और उसका स्वामी उसे बुरी तरह दण्ड देगा और कपटियों के बीच उसका स्थान निश्चित करेगा जहाँ बस लोग रोते होंगे और दाँत पीसते होंगे।

Jesus Speaks about the Future
24 As Jesus was leaving the Temple grounds, his disciples pointed out to him the various Temple buildings. 2 But he responded, “Do you see all these buildings? I tell you the truth, they will be completely demolished. Not one stone will be left on top of another!”
3 Later, Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives. His disciples came to him privately and said, “Tell us, when will all this happen? What sign will signal your return and the end of the world?[a]”
4 Jesus told them, “Don’t let anyone mislead you, 5 for many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah.’ They will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately. 7 Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. 8 But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come.
9 “Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers.[b] 10 And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other. 11 And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people. 12 Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. 13 But the one who endures to the end will be saved. 14 And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations[c] will hear it; and then the end will come.
15 “The day is coming when you will see what Daniel the prophet spoke about—the sacrilegious object that causes desecration[d] standing in the Holy Place.” (Reader, pay attention!) 16 “Then those in Judea must flee to the hills. 17 A person out on the deck of a roof must not go down into the house to pack. 18 A person out in the field must not return even to get a coat. 19 How terrible it will be for pregnant women and for nursing mothers in those days. 20 And pray that your flight will not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For there will be greater anguish than at any time since the world began. And it will never be so great again. 22 In fact, unless that time of calamity is shortened, not a single person will survive. But it will be shortened for the sake of God’s chosen ones.
23 “Then if anyone tells you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah,’ or ‘There he is,’ don’t believe it. 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God’s chosen ones. 25 See, I have warned you about this ahead of time.
26 “So if someone tells you, ‘Look, the Messiah is out in the desert,’ don’t bother to go and look. Or, ‘Look, he is hiding here,’ don’t believe it! 27 For as the lightning flashes in the east and shines to the west, so it will be when the Son of Man[e] comes. 28 Just as the gathering of vultures shows there is a carcass nearby, so these signs indicate that the end is near.[f]
29 “Immediately after the anguish of those days,
the sun will be darkened,
the moon will give no light,
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.[g]
30 And then at last, the sign that the Son of Man is coming will appear in the heavens, and there will be deep mourning among all the peoples of the earth. And they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.[h] 31 And he will send out his angels with the mighty blast of a trumpet, and they will gather his chosen ones from all over the world[i]—from the farthest ends of the earth and heaven.
32 “Now learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its branches bud and its leaves begin to sprout, you know that summer is near. 33 In the same way, when you see all these things, you can know his return is very near, right at the door. 34 I tell you the truth, this generation[j] will not pass from the scene until all these things take place. 35 Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.
36 “However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself.[k] Only the Father knows.
37 “When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah’s day. 38 In those days before the flood, the people were enjoying banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat. 39 People didn’t realize what was going to happen until the flood came and swept them all away. That is the way it will be when the Son of Man comes.
40 “Two men will be working together in the field; one will be taken, the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding flour at the mill; one will be taken, the other left.
42 “So you, too, must keep watch! For you don’t know what day your Lord is coming. 43 Understand this: If a homeowner knew exactly when a burglar was coming, he would keep watch and not permit his house to be broken into. 44 You also must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will come when least expected.
45 “A faithful, sensible servant is one to whom the master can give the responsibility of managing his other household servants and feeding them. 46 If the master returns and finds that the servant has done a good job, there will be a reward. 47 I tell you the truth, the master will put that servant in charge of all he owns. 48 But what if the servant is evil and thinks, ‘My master won’t be back for a while,’ 49 and he begins beating the other servants, partying, and getting drunk? 50 The master will return unannounced and unexpected, 51 and he will cut the servant to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
