35 耶稣坐下，叫十二门徒来，对他们说：“谁想为首，就该作众人中最末的一个，作众人的仆人。” 36 于是拉过一个小孩子来，叫他站在门徒中间，又把他抱起来，对他们说： 37 “凡因我的名接待一个这样的小孩子的，就是接待我；凡接待我的，不是接待我，而是接待那差我来的。”

35 Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.”(A)
36 He took a little child whom he placed among them. Taking the child in his arms,(B) he said to them, 37 “Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.”(C)
