35 耶稣在圣殿里教导人，问他们说：“文士怎么说基督是大卫的后裔呢？ 36 大卫被圣灵感动，说：
‘主对我主说：
你坐在我的右边，
等我把你的仇敌放在你脚下[a]。’
37 大卫亲自称他为主，他怎么又是大卫的后裔呢？”一大群的人都喜欢听他。

36 For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The Lord said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool.
37 David therefore himself calleth him Lord; and whence is he then his son? And the common people heard him gladly.
