辯論休妻

19 耶穌說完了這些話,就離開加利利,來到猶太的境界約旦河外。 有許多人跟著他,他就在那裡把他們的病人治好了。

有法利賽人來,試探耶穌說:「人無論什麼緣故都可以休妻嗎?」 耶穌回答說:「那起初造人的,是『造男造女』, 並且說:『因此,人要離開父母,與妻子聯合,二人成為一體。』這經你們沒有念過嗎? 既然如此,夫妻不再是兩個人,乃是一體的了。所以神配合的,人不可分開。」 法利賽人說:「這樣,摩西為什麼吩咐給妻子休書,就可以休她呢?」 耶穌說:摩西因為你們的心硬,所以許你們休妻,但起初並不是這樣。 我告訴你們,凡休妻另娶的,若不是為淫亂的緣故,就是犯姦淫了;有人娶那被休的婦人,也是犯姦淫了。」 10 門徒對耶穌說:「人和妻子既是這樣,倒不如不娶。」 11 耶穌說:「這話不是人都能領受的,唯獨賜給誰,誰才能領受。 12 因為有生來是閹人,也有被人閹的,並有為天國的緣故自閹的。這話誰能領受就可以領受。」

耶穌為小孩祝福

13 那時,有人帶著小孩子來見耶穌,要耶穌給他們按手禱告,門徒就責備那些人。 14 耶穌說:「讓小孩子到我這裡來,不要禁止他們,因為在天國的正是這樣的人。」 15 耶穌給他們按手,就離開那地方去了。

當積財寶在天上

16 有一個人來見耶穌說:「夫子[a],我該做什麼善事才能得永生?」 17 耶穌對他說:「你為什麼以善事問我呢?只有一位是善的。[b]你若要進入永生,就當遵守誡命。」 18 他說:「什麼誡命?」耶穌說:「就是不可殺人,不可姦淫,不可偷盜,不可作假見證, 19 當孝敬父母,又當愛人如己。」 20 那少年人說:「這一切我都遵守了,還缺少什麼呢?」 21 耶穌說:「你若願意做完全人,可去變賣你所有的,分給窮人,就必有財寶在天上;你還要來跟從我。」 22 那少年人聽見這話,就憂憂愁愁地走了,因為他的產業很多。

貪財的難進天國

23 耶穌對門徒說:「我實在告訴你們:財主進天國是難的。 24 我又告訴你們:駱駝穿過針的眼,比財主進神的國還容易呢!」 25 門徒聽見這話,就稀奇得很,說:「這樣誰能得救呢?」 26 耶穌看著他們說:「在人這是不能的,在神凡事都能。」 27 彼得就對他說:「看哪,我們已經撇下所有的跟從你,將來我們要得什麼呢?」

跟從主的賞賜

28 耶穌說:「我實在告訴你們:你們這跟從我的人,到復興的時候,人子坐在他榮耀的寶座上,你們也要坐在十二個寶座上,審判以色列十二個支派。 29 凡為我的名撇下房屋或是弟兄、姐妹、父親、母親、[c]兒女、田地的,必要得著百倍,並且承受永生。 30 然而,有許多在前的將要在後,在後的將要在前。

论休妻

19 耶稣说完这番话,就离开加利利来到约旦河对岸的犹太地区。 有一大群人跟着祂,祂就在那里医好了他们的病。

有几个法利赛人到耶稣那里想试探祂,便问祂:“丈夫可以用任何理由休妻吗?”

耶稣回答说:“你们没有读过吗?太初,造物主造了男人和女人,并且说, ‘因此,人要离开父母,与妻子结合,二人成为一体。’ 这样,夫妻不再是两个人,而是一体了。因此,上帝配合的,人不可分开。”

他们追问:“那么,为什么摩西说,只要给妻子休书,就可以休她呢?”

耶稣说:“因为摩西知道你们铁石心肠,所以才准你们休妻。但起初并不是这样。 我告诉你们,除非是妻子不贞,否则,任何人休妻另娶,就是犯通奸罪[a]。”

10 门徒对耶稣说:“如果夫妻关系是这样,还不如不结婚。”

11 耶稣说:“这话不是每个人都能接受的,只有那些得到这种恩赐的人才能接受。 12 人不结婚的原因很多,有些是因为先天的缺陷,有些是被人阉了,也有些是为了天国而自己放弃结婚的权利。谁能接受,就让他接受吧。”

耶稣为小孩子祝福

13 有人带着小孩子来见耶稣,请求耶稣为他们按手祷告,却受到门徒的责备。

14 耶稣说:“让小孩子到我这里来,不要阻止他们,因为天国属于这样的人。” 15 于是祂为他们按手祷告,然后才离开那里。

有钱的青年

16 有一个人来请教耶稣:“老师,我该做什么善事才能获得永生呢?”

17 耶稣说:“你为什么问我做什么善事?只有上帝是善的,你要得永生,就必须遵守祂的诫命。”

18 那人问:“什么诫命呢?”

耶稣答道:“不可杀人,不可通奸,不可偷盗,不可作伪证, 19 要孝敬父母,并且爱邻如己。”

20 那青年说:“这些我早已遵守了,还缺什么呢?”

21 耶稣告诉他:“如果你想做到纯全,就去变卖所有的产业,送给穷人,你就必有财宝存在天上,然后你来跟从我。” 22 那青年听后,便忧伤地走了,因为他有许多产业。

23 事后,耶稣对门徒说:“我实在告诉你们,有钱人进天国很困难。 24 我再告诉你们,骆驼穿过针眼比有钱人进上帝的国还容易呢!”

25 门徒听了,惊奇地问:“这样,谁能得救呢?”

26 耶稣看着他们说:“对人而言,这不可能;但对上帝而言,凡事都可能。”

27 彼得问道:“你看,我们已经撇下一切来跟从你了,将来会有什么奖赏呢?”

28 耶稣说:“我实在告诉你们,到万物更新、人子坐在祂荣耀的宝座上时,你们这些跟从我的人也要坐在十二个宝座上,审判以色列的十二个支派。 29 无论谁为我的名而撇下房屋、弟兄、姊妹、父母、儿女或田地,都要得到百倍的赏赐,而且承受永生。 30 然而,许多为首的将要殿后,殿后的将要为首。”

19 And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan;

And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there.

The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?

And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,

And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?

Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?

He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.

And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

10 His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.

11 But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.

12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.

13 Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.

14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

15 And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence.

16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?

17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,

19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?

21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.

24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?

26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

27 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?

28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

30 But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.
