34 祂叫眾人和門徒一起過來，對他們說：「如果有人要跟從我，就應當捨己，背起他的十字架跟從我。 35 因為想救自己生命的，必失去生命；但為了我和福音而失去生命的，必得到生命。 36 人就是賺得全世界，卻喪失自己的生命，又有什麼益處呢？

34 Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.(A) 35 For whoever wants to save their life[a] will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it.(B) 36 What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?
