追念神古昔之恩
44 可拉后裔的训诲诗，交于伶长。
1 神啊，你在古时我们列祖的日子所行的事，我们亲耳听见了，我们的列祖也给我们述说过。
2 你曾用手赶出外邦人，却栽培了我们列祖；你苦待列邦，却叫我们列祖发达。
3 因为他们不是靠自己的刀剑得地土，也不是靠自己的膀臂得胜，乃是靠你的右手、你的膀臂和你脸上的亮光，因为你喜悦他们。
4 神啊，你是我的王，求你出令使雅各得胜。
5 我们靠你要推倒我们的敌人，靠你的名要践踏那起来攻击我们的人。
6 因为我必不靠我的弓，我的刀也不能使我得胜。
7 唯你救了我们脱离敌人，使恨我们的人羞愧。

1 We have heard it with our ears,(A) O God;
our ancestors have told us(B)
what you did in their days,
in days long ago.(C)
2 With your hand you drove out(D) the nations
and planted(E) our ancestors;
you crushed(F) the peoples
and made our ancestors flourish.(G)
3 It was not by their sword(H) that they won the land,
nor did their arm bring them victory;
it was your right hand,(I) your arm,(J)
and the light(K) of your face, for you loved(L) them.
4 You are my King(M) and my God,(N)
who decrees[c] victories(O) for Jacob.
5 Through you we push back(P) our enemies;
through your name we trample(Q) our foes.
6 I put no trust in my bow,(R)
my sword does not bring me victory;
7 but you give us victory(S) over our enemies,
you put our adversaries to shame.(T)
8 In God we make our boast(U) all day long,(V)
and we will praise your name forever.[d](W)
9 But now you have rejected(X) and humbled us;(Y)
you no longer go out with our armies.(Z)
10 You made us retreat(AA) before the enemy,
and our adversaries have plundered(AB) us.
11 You gave us up to be devoured like sheep(AC)
and have scattered us among the nations.(AD)
12 You sold your people for a pittance,(AE)
gaining nothing from their sale.
13 You have made us a reproach(AF) to our neighbors,(AG)
the scorn(AH) and derision(AI) of those around us.
14 You have made us a byword(AJ) among the nations;
the peoples shake their heads(AK) at us.
15 I live in disgrace(AL) all day long,
and my face is covered with shame(AM)
16 at the taunts(AN) of those who reproach and revile(AO) me,
because of the enemy, who is bent on revenge.(AP)
17 All this came upon us,
though we had not forgotten(AQ) you;
we had not been false to your covenant.
18 Our hearts had not turned(AR) back;
our feet had not strayed from your path.
19 But you crushed(AS) us and made us a haunt for jackals;(AT)
you covered us over with deep darkness.(AU)
20 If we had forgotten(AV) the name of our God
or spread out our hands to a foreign god,(AW)
21 would not God have discovered it,
since he knows the secrets of the heart?(AX)
22 Yet for your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep(AY) to be slaughtered.(AZ)

1 Dumnezeule, am auzit cu urechile noastre,

în vremuri străvechi;
2 am auzit cum Tu, prin braţul Tău, ai dezrădăcinat neamuri, ca să-i plantezi pe ei,
ai izgonit noroade, ca să-i extinzi pe ei.
3 Nu prin sabia lor au moştenit ţara,
nu braţul lor i-a izbăvit,
ci dreapta Ta, braţul Tău,
lumina feţei Tale, fiindcă îi iubeai.
4 Dumnezeule, Tu eşti împăratul meu!
Porunceşte dar izbăvirea[b] lui Iacov!
5 Cu Tine ne doborâm duşmanii,
cu Numele Tău ne călcăm în picioare potrivnicii.
6 Nu mă încred în arcul meu,
sabia mea nu mă izbăveşte,
7 ci Tu ne vei izbăvi de duşmanii noştri,
iar pe cei ce ne urăsc, Tu îi vei face de ruşine!
8 Noi în Dumnezeu ne lăudăm mereu,
Numele Tău îl slăvim pe vecie.Sela
9 Totuşi, Tu ne-ai respins şi ne-ai umilit,
nu mai ieşi cu oştile noastre.
10 Tu ai făcut să ne retragem dinaintea duşmanului,
astfel că cei ce ne urăsc ne jefuiesc.
11 Ne dai ca pe nişte oi la tăiere,
ne împrăştii printre neamuri.
12 Îţi vinzi poporul pe un preţ de nimic
şi nu câştigi nimic prin vânzarea lui.
13 Ne faci de batjocura vecinilor noştri,
de ocara şi de dispreţul celor ce ne înconjoară.
14 Ne faci de pomină printre neamuri,
pricină de clătinare din cap printre popoare.
15 Toată ziua ocara îmi stă înainte
şi ruşinea îmi acoperă faţa,
16 la glasul batjocoritorului şi al blasfemiatorului,
la vederea duşmanului şi a răzbunătorului.
17 Toate acestea au venit asupra noastră, dar[c] noi nu Te-am uitat
şi nu am încălcat legământul Tău.
18 Inima noastră nu Ţi-a întors spatele
şi paşii noştri nu s-au îndepărtat de calea Ta.
19 Tu însă ne-ai zdrobit în locul de vânătoare al şacalilor

23 Scoală-Te! De ce dormi, Stăpâne?
Trezeşte-Te, nu ne lepăda pe vecie!
24 De ce Îţi ascunzi faţa,
de ce ne uiţi umilinţa şi necazul?
25 Sufletul nostru este doborât în ţărână,
pântecele ne este lipit de pământ!
26 Ridică-Te şi vino în ajutorul nostru!
Răscumpără-ne, din pricina îndurării Tale!

3 Ты прекраснее всех людей;
благодатная речь сходит с Твоих уст,
ведь Бог навеки благословил Тебя.
4 Могучий, препояшься мечом,
облекись в славу и величие.
5 И величия полон, победоносно поезжай верхом
ради истины, смирения и праведности.
Пусть рука Твоя вершит грозные подвиги.
6 Пусть острые стрелы Твои пронзают сердца врагов царя;
пусть народы падут под ноги Твои.
7 Вечен престол Твой, Боже,
Твой царский скипетр – скипетр правосудия.
8 Ты возлюбил праведность, а беззаконие возненавидел;
поэтому, о Боже, Твой Бог помазал Тебя[b]
маслом радости больше, чем Твоих сотоварищей[c].
9 Благоухают Твои одежды миррой, алоэ и кассией[d].

44 We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old.
2 How thou didst drive out the heathen with thy hand, and plantedst them; how thou didst afflict the people, and cast them out.
3 For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.
4 Thou art my King, O God: command deliverances for Jacob.
5 Through thee will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.
6 For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me.
7 But thou hast saved us from our enemies, and hast put them to shame that hated us.
8 In God we boast all the day long, and praise thy name for ever. Selah.
9 But thou hast cast off, and put us to shame; and goest not forth with our armies.
10 Thou makest us to turn back from the enemy: and they which hate us spoil for themselves.
11 Thou hast given us like sheep appointed for meat; and hast scattered us among the heathen.
12 Thou sellest thy people for nought, and dost not increase thy wealth by their price.
13 Thou makest us a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and a derision to them that are round about us.
14 Thou makest us a byword among the heathen, a shaking of the head among the people.
15 My confusion is continually before me, and the shame of my face hath covered me,
16 For the voice of him that reproacheth and blasphemeth; by reason of the enemy and avenger.
17 All this is come upon us; yet have we not forgotten thee, neither have we dealt falsely in thy covenant.
18 Our heart is not turned back, neither have our steps declined from thy way;
19 Though thou hast sore broken us in the place of dragons, and covered us with the shadow of death.
20 If we have forgotten the name of our God, or stretched out our hands to a strange god;
21 Shall not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.
22 Yea, for thy sake are we killed all the day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter.
23 Awake, why sleepest thou, O Lord? arise, cast us not off for ever.
24 Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and forgettest our affliction and our oppression?
25 For our soul is bowed down to the dust: our belly cleaveth unto the earth.
26 Arise for our help, and redeem us for thy mercies' sake.
