Chúa Là Ðấng Che Chở

1 Tôi nương náu mình nơi Chúa.
Thế mà sao các người lại bảo linh hồn tôi rằng,
“Hãy làm như con chim và bay lên núi trốn đi”?
2 Vì kìa, kẻ ác đã giương cung;
Chúng đã đặt mũi tên vào dây cung,
Ðể từ trong bóng tối nhắm bắn người có lòng ngay thẳng.
3 Nếu các nền tảng bị phá hủy,
Người ngay lành còn có thể làm gì?
4 Chúa ngự trong đền thánh Ngài;
Chúa ngự trên ngôi Ngài trên thiên đàng.
Mắt Ngài nhìn thấy rõ hết;
Mí mắt Ngài dò xét con cái loài người.
5 Chúa thử nghiệm người ngay lành,
Nhưng linh hồn Ngài ghét kẻ ác và kẻ ham mến bạo tàn.
6 Ngài sẽ giáng mưa than lửa và diêm sinh xuống kẻ gian ác,
Gió phỏng sẽ là phần trong chén của chúng.
7 Vì Chúa là Ðấng công chính.
Ngài yêu mến sự công chính.
Người ngay lành sẽ được nhìn thấy thánh nhan Ngài.

11 In the Lord put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?
2 For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.
3 If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?
4 The Lord is in his holy temple, the Lord's throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.
5 The Lord trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.
6 Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.
7 For the righteous Lord loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.

1 In the Lord I take refuge.(A)
How then can you say to me:
“Flee(B) like a bird to your mountain.(C)
2 For look, the wicked bend their bows;(D)
they set their arrows(E) against the strings
to shoot from the shadows(F)
at the upright in heart.(G)
3 When the foundations(H) are being destroyed,
what can the righteous do?”
4 The Lord is in his holy temple;(I)
the Lord is on his heavenly throne.(J)
He observes everyone on earth;(K)
his eyes examine(L) them.
5 The Lord examines the righteous,(M)
but the wicked, those who love violence,
he hates with a passion.(N)
6 On the wicked he will rain
fiery coals and burning sulfur;(O)
a scorching wind(P) will be their lot.
