君王的诺言
大卫的诗。
101 耶和华啊，
我要歌颂你的慈爱和公正，
我要歌颂你。
2 我要谨慎行事，
走正直的路，
你何时来我这里？
我要在家中以正直的心行事。
3 我要弃绝恶事，
我憎恶背弃上帝者的行为，
不沾染他们的恶行。
4 我要远离心思悖逆的人，
不与邪恶的事有任何瓜葛。
5 我要消灭暗中毁谤邻居的人，
也不容忍心高气傲的人。
6 我要看顾国中忠于上帝的人，
让他们与我同住。
行事正直的人才能服侍我。
7 诡诈的人必不得与我同住，
口出谎言的人必不得侍立在我面前。
8 每天早晨我要消灭国中所有的恶人，
从耶和华的城中铲除一切作恶的人。

101 «Salmo di Davide.» Io canterò della tua benignità e giustizia; canterò le tue lodi, o Eterno
2 Avrò cura di condurre una vita integra. Quando verrai a me? Camminerò con cuore integro dentro la mia casa.
3 Non metterò davanti ai miei occhi alcuna cosa malvagia; io detesto il comportamento di quelli che si sviano, non mi lascerò contagiare.
4 ll cuore perverso si allontanerà da me; non voglio saperne del male.
5 Sterminerò chi calunnia in segreto contro il suo prossimo; non sopporterò l'uomo altezzoso di occhi e superbo di cuore.
6 I miei occhi saranno sui fedeli del paese e li terrò vicino a me; chi cammina con integrità sarà mio servo.
7 Chi agisce con inganno non abiterà nella mia casa; chi proferisce menzogne non reggerà davanti ai miei occhi.
8 Ogni mattina annienterò tutti gli empi del paese, per estirpare dalla città dell'Eterno tutti gli operatori d'iniquità.

Psalm 101
A Psalm of David.
1 I will sing of mercy and loving-kindness and justice; to You, O Lord, will I sing.
2 I will behave myself wisely and give heed to the blameless way—O when will You come to me? I will walk within my house in integrity and with a blameless heart.
3 I will set no base or wicked thing before my eyes. I hate the work of them who turn aside [from the right path]; it shall not grasp hold of me.
4 A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will know no evil person or thing.
5 Whoso privily slanders his neighbor, him will I cut off [from me]; he who has a haughty look and a proud and arrogant heart I cannot and I will not tolerate.
6 My eyes shall [look with favor] upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; he who walks blamelessly, he shall minister to me.
7 He who works deceit shall not dwell in my house; he who tells lies shall not continue in my presence.
8 Morning after morning I will root up all the wicked in the land, that I may eliminate all the evildoers from the city of the Lord.
