⁷ A lion^(D) has come out of his lair;^(E)
    a destroyer^(F) of nations has set out.
He has left his place
    to lay waste^(G) your land.
Your towns will lie in ruins^(H)
    without inhabitant.
⁸ So put on sackcloth,^(I)
    lament^(J) and wail,
for the fierce anger^(K) of the Lord
    has not turned away from us.
