2 耶和華這樣說：
“在刀劍下倖存的人民，
在曠野蒙受了恩寵；
以色列來到她安息之處。”
3 耶和華在古時（“在古時”或譯：“從遠處”）曾向以色列（按照《馬索拉文本》，“以色列”應作“我”；現參照《七十士譯本》翻譯）顯現，說：
“我以永遠的愛愛你，
因此，我對你的慈愛延續不息（“我對你的慈愛延續不息”或譯：“我要以慈愛吸引你”）。
4 童女以色列啊！
我要再次建立你，你就必被建立。
你要再次拿起鈴鼓，
出去和那些歡樂的人一同跳舞。
