腰带的比喻
13 耶和华对我说：“你去买一条麻布腰带束在腰间，不可让它沾水。” 2 我照耶和华的话买了腰带，束在腰间。 3 耶和华又对我说： 4 “拿着你买来的腰带去幼发拉底河边，把它藏在那里的石缝中。” 5 于是，我照耶和华的吩咐把腰带藏在那里。 6 多日后，耶和华对我说：“去幼发拉底河边取回我吩咐你藏的腰带。” 7 我就去幼发拉底河边把所藏的腰带挖出来，但腰带已经腐烂，不能用了。
8 耶和华对我说： 9 “这是耶和华说的，‘我也要这样消灭犹大的骄傲和耶路撒冷的狂妄。 10 这邪恶的百姓拒绝听我的话，一意孤行，跟随、供奉、祭拜别的神明，他们将像这腰带一样毫无用处。 11 我本想使以色列人和犹大人紧靠着我，就像腰带紧贴在人的腰间，让他们做我的子民，使我声名远扬、得到赞美和尊崇，他们却不肯听从。这是耶和华说的。’
12 “因此，你告诉他们，以色列的上帝耶和华说，‘每个瓶子都要盛满酒。’若他们说，‘难道我们不知道每个瓶子都要盛满酒吗？’ 13 你就告诉他们，‘耶和华说，我要使坐在大卫宝座上的君王以及祭司、先知、耶路撒冷人和这片土地上所有的居民都酩酊大醉； 14 我要使他们彼此撞得粉碎，就算父子也要彼此相撞；我要毁灭他们，决不心慈手软。’”
15 耶和华说话了，你们要留心听，
不可傲慢。
16 趁着你们的上帝耶和华还未使黑暗来临，
你们还未在漆黑的山上绊倒，
要把荣耀归给祂。
否则，祂必使你们期望的光明变为幽冥和黑暗。
17 如果你们因为骄傲而不肯听，
我会暗自哭泣、泪流满面，
因为耶和华的子民将要被掳。
18 耶和华让我对君王和太后说：
“从宝座上下来吧，
因为你们头上华美的王冠将要掉落。”
19 南部的城邑将被围困，
无人能解围，
犹大人都要被掳，无一幸免。
20 耶路撒冷啊，
举目看看那些从北方来的敌人吧，
从前赐给你的佳美羊群——你的百姓如今在哪里呢？
21 耶和华让你结交的盟友来统治你，
你还有什么话可说？
难怪你痛苦不堪，
就像分娩的妇人。
22 也许你在想：“为什么这些事发生在我身上？”
你的裙子被撕破，你遭受蹂躏，
是因为你罪大恶极。
23 古实人能改变他们的肤色吗？
豹子能脱去它们的斑点吗？
你这作恶成性的人怎能行善呢？
24 因此，耶和华说：
“我要把你分散到四方，
像旷野的风吹散碎秸一样。
25 这是你应得的报应，
是我量给你的，
因为你把我抛诸脑后，
信靠假神。
这是耶和华说的。
26 因此，我要把你的裙子掀到你的脸上，
使人见到你的羞耻。
27 你在山上和田野间拜偶像，
像无耻的妇人与情郎苟合，
发出淫语浪声。
这些可憎之事，我都看见了。
耶路撒冷啊，你有祸了！

El cinturón de lino podrido
13 Así me dijo el Señor: «Ve y cómprate un cinturón(A) de lino y póntelo en la cintura, pero no lo metas en agua». 2 Compré, pues, el cinturón conforme a la palabra del Señor(B), y me lo puse en la cintura. 3 Entonces vino a mí la palabra del Señor por segunda vez: 4 «Toma el cinturón que has comprado, que llevas a la cintura, y levántate, vete al Éufrates[a](C) y escóndelo allá en una hendidura de la peña». 5 Fui, pues, y lo escondí junto al Éufrates como el Señor me había mandado(D).
6 Después de muchos días el Señor me dijo: «Levántate, vete al Éufrates y toma de allí el cinturón que te mandé que escondieras allá». 7 Fui, pues, al Éufrates y cavé, tomé el cinturón del lugar donde lo había escondido, y resultó que el cinturón estaba podrido; no servía para nada.
8 Entonces vino a mí la palabra del Señor: 9 «Así dice el Señor: “De la misma manera haré que se pudra la soberbia(E) de Judá y la gran soberbia de Jerusalén. 10 Este pueblo malvado, que rehúsa escuchar Mis palabras(F), que anda en la terquedad de su corazón y se ha ido tras otros dioses(G) a servirles y a postrarse ante ellos, ha de ser como este cinturón que no sirve para nada. 11 Porque como el cinturón se adhiere a la cintura del hombre, así hice adherirse a Mí a toda la casa de Israel y a toda la casa de Judá”, declara el Señor, “a fin de que fueran para Mí por pueblo(H) y por renombre[b](I), para alabanza y para gloria(J), pero no escucharon[c](K)”.

12 »También les dirás esta palabra: “Así dice el Señor, Dios de Israel: ‘Todo cántaro se llenará de vino’”. Y cuando ellos te digan: “¿Acaso no sabemos bien que todo cántaro ha de llenarse de vino?”. 13 entonces les dirás: “Así dice el Señor: ‘Voy a llenar de embriaguez a todos los habitantes de esta tierra: a los reyes sucesores de David que se sientan sobre su trono, a los sacerdotes, a los profetas y a todos los habitantes de Jerusalén(L). 14 Los estrellaré unos contra otros(M), los padres y los hijos por igual(N)’, declara el Señor. ‘No tendré piedad, ni lástima, ni compasión(O), para dejar de destruirlos’”».
15 ¶Escuchen y presten atención, no sean altaneros(P),
Porque el Señor ha hablado.
16 Den gloria al Señor su Dios(Q),
Antes que Él haga venir las tinieblas
Y antes que los pies de ustedes tropiecen(R)
Sobre los montes oscuros,
Y mientras ustedes estén esperando la luz,
Él la transforme en profundas tinieblas,
La cambie en densa oscuridad(S).
17 Pero si no escuchan esto(T),
Mi alma sollozará en secreto por tal orgullo;
Mis ojos llorarán amargamente
Y se llenarán de lágrimas(U),
Porque ha sido hecho cautivo el rebaño del Señor(V).
18 Di al rey y a la reina madre(W):
«Humíllense, siéntense en el suelo(X),
Porque ha caído de sus cabezas
Su hermosa corona(Y)».
19 Las ciudades del Neguev[d](Z) han sido cerradas,
Y no hay quien las abra:
Todo Judá ha sido llevado al destierro,
Llevado al cautiverio en su totalidad(AA).
20 ¶«Alcen sus ojos, y vean
A los que vienen del norte(AB).
¿Dónde está el rebaño que te fue confiado,
Tus hermosas ovejas(AC)?
21 -»¿Qué dirás cuando Él ponga sobre ti
(A los que tú mismo habías enseñado)
A antiguos compañeros[e] para ser jefes tuyos(AD)?
¿No te vendrán dolores
Como de mujer de parto(AE)?
22 -»Y si dices en tu corazón(AF):
“¿Por qué me han sucedido estas cosas(AG)?”.
Por la magnitud de tu iniquidad(AH)
Te han quitado las faldas
Y descubierto[f] tus talones(AI).
23 -»¿Puede el etíope mudar su piel,
O el leopardo sus manchas(AJ)?
Así ustedes, ¿podrán hacer el bien
Estando acostumbrados a hacer el mal(AK)?
24 -»Por tanto, los[g] esparciré(AL) como paja arrastrada
Por el viento del desierto(AM).
25 -»Esta es tu suerte, la porción que ya he medido para ti(AN)»,
Declara el Señor,
«Porque me has olvidado(AO),
Y has confiado en la mentira.
26 -»Por lo cual Yo también te levantaré[h] las faldas sobre tu rostro,
Para que se vea tu vergüenza(AP).
27 -»En tus adulterios y en tus relinchos(AQ),
En la bajeza de tu prostitución(AR)
Sobre las colinas del campo,
He visto tus abominaciones(AS).
¡Ay de ti, Jerusalén!

Symbol of the Linen Sash
13 Thus the Lord said to me: “Go and get yourself a linen sash, and put it [a]around your waist, but do not put it in water.” 2 So I got a [b]sash according to the word of the Lord, and put it around my waist.
3 And the word of the Lord came to me the second time, saying, 4 “Take the [c]sash that you acquired, which is [d]around your waist, and arise, go to the [e]Euphrates, and hide it there in a hole in the rock.” 5 So I went and hid it by the Euphrates, as the Lord commanded me.
6 Now it came to pass after many days that the Lord said to me, “Arise, go to the Euphrates, and take from there the sash which I commanded you to hide there.” 7 Then I went to the Euphrates and dug, and I took the [f]sash from the place where I had hidden it; and there was the sash, ruined. It was profitable for nothing.
8 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 9 “Thus says the Lord: ‘In this manner (A)I will ruin the pride of Judah and the great (B)pride of Jerusalem. 10 This evil people, who (C)refuse to hear My words, who (D)follow[g] the dictates of their hearts, and walk after other gods to serve them and worship them, shall be just like this sash which is profitable for nothing. 11 For as the sash clings to the waist of a man, so I have caused the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah to cling to Me,’ says the Lord, ‘that (E)they may become My people, (F)for renown, for praise, and for (G)glory; but they would (H)not hear.’

12 “Therefore you shall speak to them this word: ‘Thus says the Lord God of Israel: “Every bottle shall be filled with wine.” ’
“And they will say to you, ‘Do we not certainly know that every bottle will be filled with wine?’
13 “Then you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord: “Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land—even the kings who sit on David’s throne, the priests, the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem—(I)with drunkenness! 14 And (J)I will dash them [h]one against another, even the fathers and the sons together,” says the Lord. “I will not pity nor spare nor have mercy, but will destroy them.” ’ ”
Pride Precedes Captivity
15 Hear and give ear:
Do not be proud,
For the Lord has spoken.
16 (K)Give glory to the Lord your God
Before He causes (L)darkness,
And before your feet stumble
On the dark mountains,
And while you are (M)looking for light,
He turns it into (N)the shadow of death
And makes it dense darkness.
17 But if you will not hear it,
My soul will (O)weep in secret for your pride;
My eyes will weep bitterly
And run down with tears,
Because the Lord’s flock has been taken captive.
18 Say to (P)the king and to the queen mother,
“Humble yourselves;
Sit down,
For your rule shall collapse, the crown of your glory.”
19 The cities of the South shall be shut up,
And no one shall open them;
Judah shall be carried away captive, all of it;
It shall be wholly carried away captive.
20 Lift up your eyes and see
Those who come from the (Q)north.
Where is the flock that was given to you,
Your beautiful sheep?
21 What will you say when He punishes you?
For you have taught them
To be chieftains, to be head over you.
Will not (R)pangs seize you,
Like a woman in [i]labor?
22 And if you say in your heart,
(S)“Why have these things come upon me?”
For the greatness of your iniquity
(T)Your skirts have been uncovered,
Your heels [j]made bare.
23 Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard its spots?
Then may you also do good who are accustomed to do evil.
24 “Therefore I will (U)scatter them (V)like stubble
That passes away by the wind of the wilderness.
25 (W)This is your lot,
The portion of your measures from Me,” says the Lord,
“Because you have forgotten Me
And trusted in (X)falsehood.
26 Therefore (Y)I will uncover your skirts over your face,
That your shame may appear.
27 I have seen your adulteries
And your lustful (Z)neighings,
The lewdness of your harlotry,
Your abominations (AA)on the hills in the fields.
Woe to you, O Jerusalem!
Will you still not be made clean?”
