6 那么，我们该怎么说呢？我们可以继续犯罪，使恩典显得更丰富吗？ 2 绝不可以！我们既然向罪死了，岂可继续活在罪中？ 3 难道你们不知道，我们受洗归属基督耶稣是和祂一同死吗？ 4 我们借着洗礼和祂一同死了，埋葬了，这样我们的一举一动可以有新生命的样式，正如基督借着父的荣耀从死里复活一样。
5 如果我们和基督一同死了，也必和祂一同复活。 6 我们知道，我们的旧人已经和祂一同钉在十字架上，使辖制我们身体的罪失去力量，使我们不再做罪的奴隶。 7 因为人一旦死了，便脱离了罪。
8 如果我们与基督同死，相信也必与祂同活。 9 因为我们知道，基督既然从死里复活了，就不会再死，死亡也不能再控制祂。 10 祂死，是向罪死，只死一次；祂活，却是向上帝永远活着。 11 这样，你们应当看自己是向罪死了，但向上帝则看自己是活在基督耶稣里。
12 所以，不要让罪辖制你们必死的身体，使你们顺从身体的私欲； 13 也不要将你们的身体献给罪作不义的工具，而是要像一个从死里复活的人将自己奉献给上帝，把身体献给上帝作义的工具。 14 罪不能再主宰你们，因为你们已经不在律法之下，而是在恩典之中。

6 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
