16 如果初熟的麦子[a]是圣洁的,那面团也就圣洁了;如果树根是圣洁的,那树枝也就圣洁了。
17 但如果有些树枝被折下来,而你这野橄榄枝被接在其上,并且一同有份于那橄榄树根的丰富养分, 18 那么你就不应该向那些树枝自夸了。而就算你自夸,也不是你托着树根,而是树根托着你。

New International Version
16 If the part of the dough offered as firstfruits(A) is holy, then the whole batch is holy; if the root is holy, so are the branches.
17 If some of the branches have been broken off,(B) and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others(C) and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, 18 do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you.(D)
