24 约书亚以色列众人把谢拉的曾孙亚干和那银子、那件外袍、那条金子,以及亚干的儿女、牛、驴、羊、帐棚,和他所有的,都带着上到亚割谷[a]去。 25 约书亚说:“你为什么给我们招惹灾祸呢?今日耶和华必使你遭受灾祸。”于是以色列众人用石头打死他,用火焚烧他们,把石头扔在其上。 26 众人在亚干身上堆了一大堆石头,直存到今日。于是耶和华转意,不发他的烈怒。因此,那地方名叫亚割谷,直到今日。

25 And Joshua said, Why hast thou troubled us? the Lord shall trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones.

26 And they raised over him a great heap of stones unto this day. So the Lord turned from the fierceness of his anger. Wherefore the name of that place was called, The valley of Achor, unto this day.
