2 那时，耶和华对约书亚说：“你要制造火石刀，第二次给以色列人行割礼。” 3 约书亚就制造了火石刀，在包皮山那里给以色列人行了割礼。 4 约书亚给以色列人行割礼的原因是这样：所有从埃及出来的人民，就是所有能作战的男丁，出埃及以后，都死在旷野的路上。

Circumcision and Passover at Gilgal
2 At that time the Lord said to Joshua, “Make flint knives(A) and circumcise(B) the Israelites again.” 3 So Joshua made flint knives and circumcised the Israelites at Gibeath Haaraloth.[a]
4 Now this is why he did so: All those who came out of Egypt—all the men of military age(C)—died in the wilderness on the way after leaving Egypt.(D)
