21 這些事以後，耶穌在提比哩亞海邊又向門徒顯現。他怎樣顯現記在下面。 2 西門‧彼得、叫低土馬的多馬、加利利的迦拿人拿但業、西庇太的兩個兒子，和另外兩個門徒，都在一起。 3 西門‧彼得對他們說：「我打魚去。」他們對他說：「我們也和你一起去。」他們就出去，上了船；那一夜並沒有打着甚麼。 4 天剛亮的時候，耶穌站在岸上，門徒卻不知道他是耶穌。 5 耶穌就對他們說：「孩子們！你們有吃的沒有？」他們回答他：「沒有。」 6 耶穌對他們說：「你們把網撒在船的右邊，就會得到。」於是他們撒下網去，竟拉不上來了，因為魚很多。 7 耶穌所愛的那門徒對彼得說：「是主！」那時西門‧彼得赤着身子，一聽見是主，就束上外衣，跳進海裏。 8 其餘的門徒因離岸不遠，約有二百肘，就坐着小船把那網魚拉過來。 9 他們上了岸，看見那裏有炭火，上面有魚和餅。 10 耶穌對他們說：「把剛才打的魚拿幾條來。」 11 西門‧彼得就上船，把網拉到岸上，網裏滿了大魚，共一百五十三條；雖然魚這樣多，網卻沒有破。 12 耶穌對他們說：「你們來吃早飯。」門徒中沒有一個敢問他：「你是誰？」因為他們知道他是主。 13 耶穌走過來，拿餅給他們，也照樣拿魚給他們。 14 耶穌從死人中復活後向門徒顯現，這是第三次。
三問彼得
15 他們吃完了早飯，耶穌對西門‧彼得說：「約翰[a]的兒子西門，你愛我比這些更深嗎？」彼得對他說：「主啊，是的，你知道我愛你。」耶穌說：「你餵養我的小羊。」 16 耶穌第二次又對他說：「約翰的兒子西門，你愛我嗎？」彼得對他說：「主啊，是的，你知道我愛你。」耶穌說：「你牧養我的羊。」 17 耶穌第三次對他說：「約翰的兒子西門，你愛我嗎？」彼得因為耶穌第三次對他說「你愛我嗎」，就憂愁，對耶穌說：「主啊，你無所不知，你知道我愛你。」耶穌說：「你餵養我的羊。 18 我實實在在地告訴你，你年輕的時候，自己束上帶子，隨意往來；但年老的時候，你要伸出手來，別人要把你束上，帶你到不願意去的地方。」 19 耶穌說這話，是指彼得會怎樣死來榮耀 神。說了這話，耶穌對他說：「你跟從我吧！」
耶穌和他所愛的那門徒
20 彼得轉過身來，看見耶穌所愛的那門徒跟着，就是在晚餐時靠着耶穌胸膛說「主啊，出賣你的是誰」的那門徒。 21 彼得看見他，就問耶穌：「主啊，這個人怎樣呢？」 22 耶穌對他說：「假如我要他等到我來的時候還在，跟你有甚麼關係呢？你跟從我吧！」 23 於是這話在弟兄中間流傳，說那門徒不死。其實，耶穌不是說他不死，而是對彼得說：「假如我要他等到我來的時候還在，跟你有甚麼關係呢？[b]」
24 這門徒就是為這些事作見證、並且記載這些事的，我們知道他的見證是真的。
25 耶穌所行的事還有許多，若是一一都寫出來，我想，就是全世界也容不下所要寫的書。

Jesus and the Miraculous Catch of Fish
21 Afterward Jesus appeared again to his disciples,(A) by the Sea of Galilee.[a](B) It happened this way: 2 Simon Peter, Thomas(C) (also known as Didymus[b]), Nathanael(D) from Cana in Galilee,(E) the sons of Zebedee,(F) and two other disciples were together. 3 “I’m going out to fish,” Simon Peter told them, and they said, “We’ll go with you.” So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.(G)
4 Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus.(H)
5 He called out to them, “Friends, haven’t you any fish?”
“No,” they answered.
6 He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.(I)
7 Then the disciple whom Jesus loved(J) said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” As soon as Simon Peter heard him say, “It is the Lord,” he wrapped his outer garment around him (for he had taken it off) and jumped into the water. 8 The other disciples followed in the boat, towing the net full of fish, for they were not far from shore, about a hundred yards.[c] 9 When they landed, they saw a fire(K) of burning coals there with fish on it,(L) and some bread.
10 Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish you have just caught.” 11 So Simon Peter climbed back into the boat and dragged the net ashore. It was full of large fish, 153, but even with so many the net was not torn. 12 Jesus said to them, “Come and have breakfast.” None of the disciples dared ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord. 13 Jesus came, took the bread and gave it to them, and did the same with the fish.(M) 14 This was now the third time Jesus appeared to his disciples(N) after he was raised from the dead.
Jesus Reinstates Peter
15 When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?”
“Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.”(O)
Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.”(P)
16 Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”
He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.”
Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.”(Q)
17 The third time he said to him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”
Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me?”(R) He said, “Lord, you know all things;(S) you know that I love you.”
Jesus said, “Feed my sheep.(T) 18 Very truly I tell you, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go.” 19 Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death(U) by which Peter would glorify God.(V) Then he said to him, “Follow me!”(W)
20 Peter turned and saw that the disciple whom Jesus loved(X) was following them. (This was the one who had leaned back against Jesus at the supper and had said, “Lord, who is going to betray you?”)(Y) 21 When Peter saw him, he asked, “Lord, what about him?”
22 Jesus answered, “If I want him to remain alive until I return,(Z) what is that to you? You must follow me.”(AA) 23 Because of this, the rumor spread among the believers(AB) that this disciple would not die. But Jesus did not say that he would not die; he only said, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you?”
24 This is the disciple who testifies to these things(AC) and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true.(AD)
25 Jesus did many other things as well.(AE) If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.
