耶穌復活
20 週日清晨，天還未亮，抹大拉的瑪麗亞就來到墳墓前，發現封住墓口的石頭已經挪開了。 2 她趕快跑去告訴西門·彼得和耶穌所愛的那個門徒，說：「有人把主從墳墓裡搬走了，不知放到哪裡去了。」
3 彼得和那個門徒聽了就出去，往墳墓那邊跑。 4 兩個人一起跑，但那個門徒比彼得跑得快，所以先到了墳墓。 5 他並沒有進去，只是探頭往裡看，看見細麻布還在那裡。 6 西門·彼得隨後也來了，他進到裡邊，看到細麻布放在那裡， 7 耶穌的裹頭巾則捲著放在另一處，沒有和細麻布放在一起。 8 先到的那個門徒也進來了，看見這種情形，就信了。 9 因為他們還不明白聖經上有關耶穌必要從死裡復活的話。 10 然後，他們各自回家去了。
11 瑪麗亞卻站在墳墓外面哭泣，邊哭邊往墳墓裡面看， 12 看見兩個穿著白衣的天使分別坐在原來安放耶穌遺體的頭腳兩端。
13 天使對她說：「婦人，你為什麼哭呢？」
她說：「有人把我的主搬走了，不知道放在什麼地方。」 14 說完，她轉過身來，看見耶穌站在那裡，但她不知道那就是耶穌。
15 耶穌問她：「婦人，你為什麼哭？你在找誰？」
瑪麗亞還以為祂是園丁，就說：「先生，如果是你把祂搬走了，請告訴我放在哪裡了，我好搬回來。」
16 耶穌說：「瑪麗亞。」
瑪麗亞立即轉過頭來用希伯來話對祂說：「拉波尼！」拉波尼的意思是老師。
17 耶穌說：「不要拉著我，我還沒有升到父那裡。你先去找我的眾弟兄，告訴他們我要升天去見我的父，也是你們的父；去見我的上帝，也是你們的上帝。」
18 抹大拉的瑪麗亞就去向門徒報訊，說：「我看見主了！」又把主對她說的話告訴門徒。
向門徒顯現
19 當天晚上，即週日晚上，門徒因為害怕猶太人，把房門都關上了。忽然，耶穌來了，站在他們當中，對他們說：「願你們平安！」 20 說完，讓他們看祂的手和肋旁。門徒看見主，十分歡喜。
21 耶穌又說：「願你們平安。父怎樣差遣我，我也照樣差遣你們。」 22 然後祂向他們吹了一口氣，說：「你們領受聖靈吧！ 23 你們赦免誰的罪，誰的罪就得到赦免；你們不赦免誰的罪，誰的罪就得不到赦免。」
向多馬顯現
24 耶穌顯現的時候，十二個門徒中綽號「雙胞胎」的多馬不在場。 25 其他門徒告訴他：「我們看見主了！」可是多馬說：「除非我親眼看見祂手上的釘痕，用手摸到祂手上的釘痕和祂的肋旁，否則我決不信。」
26 過了八天，門徒又聚在一起，多馬也在，門都關著。突然耶穌來了，站在他們當中說：「願你們平安！」 27 然後對多馬說：「把你的指頭放在我手上摸摸看，伸出手來摸摸我的肋旁。不要懷疑，要信！」
28 多馬回答說：「我的主，我的上帝！」
29 耶穌說：「你看見我才信，那些沒有看見就信的人有福了。」
30 耶穌在門徒面前還行了許多神蹟，只是沒有記在這本書裡。 31 而記載這些事的目的是為了使你們相信耶穌就是基督，是上帝的兒子，並且使你們這些信祂的人可以靠祂的名得到生命。

The Empty Tomb(A)
20 Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene(B) went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance.(C) 2 So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved,(D) and said, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put him!”(E)
3 So Peter and the other disciple started for the tomb.(F) 4 Both were running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. 5 He bent over and looked in(G) at the strips of linen(H) lying there but did not go in. 6 Then Simon Peter came along behind him and went straight into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there, 7 as well as the cloth that had been wrapped around Jesus’ head.(I) The cloth was still lying in its place, separate from the linen. 8 Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first,(J) also went inside. He saw and believed. 9 (They still did not understand from Scripture(K) that Jesus had to rise from the dead.)(L) 10 Then the disciples went back to where they were staying.
Jesus Appears to Mary Magdalene
11 Now Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb(M) 12 and saw two angels in white,(N) seated where Jesus’ body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot.
13 They asked her, “Woman, why are you crying?”(O)
“They have taken my Lord away,” she said, “and I don’t know where they have put him.”(P) 14 At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there,(Q) but she did not realize that it was Jesus.(R)
15 He asked her, “Woman, why are you crying?(S) Who is it you are looking for?”
Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.”
16 Jesus said to her, “Mary.”
She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic,(T) “Rabboni!”(U) (which means “Teacher”).
17 Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers(V) and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father(W) and your Father, to my God and your God.’”
18 Mary Magdalene(X) went to the disciples(Y) with the news: “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them that he had said these things to her.
Jesus Appears to His Disciples
19 On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders,(Z) Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace(AA) be with you!”(AB) 20 After he said this, he showed them his hands and side.(AC) The disciples were overjoyed(AD) when they saw the Lord.
21 Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you!(AE) As the Father has sent me,(AF) I am sending you.”(AG) 22 And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.(AH) 23 If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”(AI)
Jesus Appears to Thomas
24 Now Thomas(AJ) (also known as Didymus[a]), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!”
But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side,(AK) I will not believe.”(AL)
26 A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace(AM) be with you!”(AN) 27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”(AO)
28 Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”
29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed;(AP) blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”(AQ)
The Purpose of John’s Gospel
30 Jesus performed many other signs(AR) in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book.(AS) 31 But these are written that you may believe[b](AT) that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God,(AU) and that by believing you may have life in his name.(AV)

Het lege graf
20 Op de eerste dag van de week[a] ging Maria Magdalena vroeg naar het graf. Het was nog donker. Toen ze daar aankwam, zag ze dat de steen die voor de ingang van het graf had gelegen, was weggerold. 2 Snel ging ze naar Simon Petrus en naar de leerling die Jezus' beste vriend was (Johannes). Ze zei tegen hen: "Ze hebben de Heer Jezus weggehaald uit het graf! En we weten niet waar ze Hem neergelegd hebben!"
3 Petrus en de andere leerling gingen toen ook naar het graf. 4 Ze liepen allebei snel. Maar de andere leerling liep sneller dan Petrus en kwam het eerst bij het graf. 5 Hij bukte zich om in het graf te kijken en zag de linnen doeken liggen. Maar hij ging niet naar binnen. 6 Simon Petrus kwam achter hem aan. Hij ging wel het graf binnen en zag de linnen doeken liggen. 7 Maar de doek die om Jezus' hoofd had gezeten, lag daar niet bij. Die doek was opgerold en lag apart. 8 Toen ging ook de leerling die het eerst bij het graf was aangekomen naar binnen. Door wat hij zag, geloofde hij Maria's verhaal. 9 Want ze wisten nog niet dat in de Boeken staat dat Hij uit de dood zou opstaan. 10 En ze gingen weer naar huis.
Maria ziet Jezus
11 Maria stond buiten bij het graf te huilen. Huilend bukte ze zich om in het graf te kijken. 12 Toen zag ze daar twee engelen in witte kleren zitten. De één zat aan het hoofdeinde en de ander aan het voeteneinde van de plek waar het lichaam van Jezus had gelegen. 13 Ze zeiden tegen haar: "Vrouw, waarom huil je?" Ze antwoordde: "Omdat ze mijn Heer hebben weggehaald. En ik weet niet waar ze Hem hebben gelegd." 14 Toen draaide ze zich om en zag Jezus staan. Maar ze herkende Hem niet. 15 Jezus zei tegen haar: "Vrouw, waarom huil je? Wie zoek je?" Ze dacht dat het de tuinman was en antwoordde: "Als U Hem heeft weggehaald, zeg me dan waar U Hem heeft neergelegd! Dan zal ik Hem meenemen." 16 Toen zei Jezus: "Maria!" Ze draaide zich om en zei tegen Hem: "Meester!" 17 Jezus zei tegen haar: "Raak Mij niet aan. Want Ik ben nog niet naar mijn Vader in de hemel gegaan. Maar ga nu naar mijn broeders. Zeg hun dat Ik terugga naar mijn Vader die ook jullie Vader is. Naar mijn God die ook jullie God is." 18 Maria Magdalena ging naar de leerlingen en vertelde hun dat ze de Heer Jezus had gezien en wat Hij tegen haar had gezegd.
Jezus bij de leerlingen
19 Toen het avond werd op die eerste dag van de week, zaten de leerlingen in huis. Ze hadden de deuren dicht gedaan, want ze waren bang voor de Joodse leiders. Plotseling stond Jezus bij hen. Hij zei: "Ik wens jullie vrede toe!" 20 Daarna liet Hij hun zijn handen en zijn zij zien. De leerlingen waren blij toen ze de Heer Jezus zagen. 21 Jezus zei opnieuw tegen hen: "Ik wens jullie vrede toe! Net zoals de Vader Mij heeft gestuurd, stuur Ik ook jullie." 22 Toen blies Hij op hen en zei: "Ontvang de Heilige Geest. 23 Als jullie iemand vergeven wat hij verkeerd heeft gedaan, dan is het hem ook vergeven. Als jullie iemand niet vergeven wat hij verkeerd heeft gedaan, dan is het hem ook niet vergeven."
24 Tomas was er niet bij toen Jezus bij hen kwam. Hij was één van de twaalf leerlingen en werd ook wel Didymus (= 'tweeling') genoemd. 25 De andere leerlingen vertelden hem: "We hebben de Heer Jezus gezien!" Maar hij antwoordde: "Ik geloof het pas als ik in zijn handen de wonden van de spijkers zie. Ik wil ze met mijn eigen vingers aanraken en ik wil met mijn eigen hand in zijn zij voelen."
26 Acht dagen later zaten Jezus' leerlingen weer in het huis. Nu was Tomas erbij. Jezus kwam binnen, ook al waren de deuren dicht. Hij stond plotseling tussen hen in en zei: "Ik wens jullie vrede toe!" 27 Daarna zei Hij tegen Tomas: "Kijk naar mijn handen en voel ze met je vingers. Voel met je hand in mijn zij. Wees niet langer ongelovig, maar geloof." 28 Tomas antwoordde Hem: "Mijn Heer en mijn God!" 29 Jezus zei tegen hem: "Geloof je pas nu je Mij hebt gezien? Wat is het heerlijk als mensen die Mij niet gezien hebben toch geloven!"
30 De leerlingen hebben Jezus nog veel meer wonderen zien doen dan in dit boek staan opgeschreven. 31 Maar déze zijn opgeschreven, zodat jullie zullen blijven geloven dat Jezus de Messias is, de Zoon van God. Want dan zullen jullie eeuwig leven hebben omdat jullie bij Hem horen.

20 (A)El primer día de la semana María Magdalena(B) fue* temprano al sepulcro, cuando todavía estaba* oscuro, y vio* que la piedra ya había sido quitada del sepulcro(C). 2 Entonces corrió* y fue* adonde estaban Simón Pedro y el otro discípulo a quien Jesús amaba(D), y les dijo*: «Se han llevado al Señor del sepulcro, y no sabemos dónde lo han puesto(E)».
3 Salieron, pues, Pedro y el otro discípulo, y fueron hacia el sepulcro(F). 4 Los dos corrían juntos, pero el otro discípulo corrió más aprisa que Pedro, y llegó primero al sepulcro; 5 e inclinándose para mirar adentro(G), vio* las envolturas de lino(H) puestas allí, pero no entró.
6 Entonces llegó* también Simón Pedro tras él, entró al sepulcro, y vio* las envolturas de lino puestas allí, 7 y el sudario(I) que había estado sobre la cabeza de Jesús[a], no puesto con las envolturas de lino(J), sino enrollado en un lugar aparte. 8 También entró el otro discípulo, el que había llegado primero al sepulcro(K), y vio y creyó. 9 Porque todavía no habían entendido la Escritura(L) de que Jesús debía resucitar de entre los muertos(M). 10 Los discípulos entonces se fueron de nuevo a sus casas[b](N).
Aparición de Jesús a María Magdalena
11 Pero María(O) estaba fuera, llorando junto al sepulcro; y mientras lloraba, se inclinó y miró dentro del sepulcro(P); 12 y vio* dos ángeles vestidos de blanco(Q), sentados donde había estado el cuerpo de Jesús, uno a la cabecera y otro a los pies. 13 «Mujer, ¿por qué lloras(R)?», le preguntaron*. «Porque se han llevado a mi Señor, y no sé dónde lo han puesto(S)», les contestó* ella.
14 Al decir esto, se volvió y vio* a Jesús(T) que estaba allí, pero no sabía que era Jesús(U). 15 «Mujer, ¿por qué lloras(V)?», le dijo* Jesús. «¿A quién buscas?». Ella, pensando que era el que cuidaba el huerto, le dijo*: «Señor, si usted lo ha llevado, dígame dónde lo ha puesto, y yo me lo llevaré». 16 «¡María!», le dijo* Jesús. Ella, volviéndose, le dijo* en hebreo[c](W): «¡Raboní(X)!» (que quiere decir Maestro).
17 Jesús le dijo*: «Suéltame[d]porque todavía no he subido al Padre; pero ve a Mis hermanos(Y), y diles: “Subo a Mi Padre y Padre de ustedes, a Mi Dios y Dios de ustedes(Z)”». 18 María Magdalena(AA) fue* y anunció a los discípulos(AB): «¡He visto al Señor!», y que Él le había dicho estas cosas.
Aparición a los discípulos
19 Al atardecer de aquel día, el primero de la semana, y estando cerradas las puertas del lugar donde los discípulos se encontraban por miedo a los judíos(AC), Jesús vino y se puso en medio de ellos, y les dijo*: «Paz a ustedes(AD)». 20 Y diciendo esto, les mostró las manos y el costado(AE). Entonces los discípulos se regocijaron al ver al Señor(AF). 21 Jesús les dijo otra vez: «Paz a ustedes(AG); como el Padre me ha enviado, así también Yo los envío(AH)».
22 Después de decir esto, sopló sobre ellos y les dijo*: «Reciban el Espíritu Santo. 23 A quienes perdonen los pecados, estos les son[e]perdonados; a quienes retengan los pecados, estos les son[f]retenidos(AI)».
Incredulidad de Tomás
24 Tomás, uno de los doce(AJ), llamado el Dídimo[g](AK), no estaba con ellos cuando Jesús vino. 25 Entonces los otros discípulos le decían: «¡Hemos visto al Señor!». Pero él les dijo: «Si no veo en Sus manos la señal de los clavos, y meto el dedo en el lugar de los clavos, y pongo la mano en Su costado(AL), no creeré(AM)».
26 Ocho días después, Sus discípulos estaban otra vez dentro[h], y Tomás con ellos. Estando las puertas cerradas, Jesús vino* y se puso en medio de ellos, y dijo: «Paz a ustedes(AN)». 27 Luego dijo* a Tomás: «Acerca aquí tu dedo, y mira Mis manos; extiende aquí tu mano y métela en Mi costado; y no seas incrédulo(AO), sino creyente». 28 «¡Señor mío y Dios mío!», le dijo Tomás. 29 Jesús le dijo*: «¿Porque me has visto has creído? Dichosos los que no vieron, y sin embargo creyeron(AP)».
El propósito de este evangelio según Juan
30 Y[i] muchas otras señales[j](AQ) hizo también Jesús(AR) en presencia de Sus discípulos, que no están escritas en este libro; 31 pero estas se han escrito para que ustedes crean(AS) que Jesús es el Cristo[k], el Hijo de Dios(AT); y para que al creer, tengan vida(AU) en Su nombre.
