11 夏瑣王耶賓聽見了，就派人到瑪頓[a]王約巴、伸崙[b]王、押煞王， 2 和北方山區、基尼烈南邊的亞拉巴、低地、西邊多珥山岡[c]的諸王， 3 以及東方和西方的迦南人、山區的亞摩利人、赫人、比利洗人、耶布斯人，和黑門山下米斯巴地的希未人那裏。 4 他們和他們的眾軍都出來，一大隊人馬，多如海邊的沙，並有極多的戰車戰馬。 5 眾王組成聯軍，來到米倫水邊一同安營，要與以色列作戰。
6 耶和華對約書亞說：「你不要怕他們。明日這時，我必把他們全部交給以色列人殺滅。你要砍斷他們馬的蹄筋，用火焚燒他們的戰車。」 7 於是約書亞和所有跟他一起作戰的士兵，來到米倫水邊，突然攻擊他們。 8 耶和華將他們交在以色列人手裏，以色列人就擊殺他們，追趕他們到西頓大城，到米斯利弗‧瑪音，直到東邊米斯巴的山谷。以色列人擊殺他們，沒有留下一個倖存者。 9 約書亞照耶和華所吩咐他的去做，砍斷他們馬的蹄筋，用火焚燒他們的戰車。
10 那時，約書亞轉回，奪了夏瑣，用刀殺了夏瑣王。先前夏瑣在這些王國中是為首的。 11 以色列人用刀擊殺城中所有的人，把他們完全滅盡；凡有氣息的，沒有留下一個。約書亞又用火焚燒夏瑣。 12 約書亞奪了這些王的一切城鎮，擒獲了這些王，用刀殺了他們，把他們完全滅盡，正如耶和華的僕人摩西所吩咐的。 13 至於造在山岡上的城鎮，除了夏瑣以外，以色列人都沒有焚燒。約書亞只焚燒了夏瑣。 14 從那些城鎮所奪的財物和牲畜，以色列人都取為自己的掠物。至於所有的人，他們都用刀殺了，直到滅盡；凡有氣息的，沒有留下一個。 15 耶和華怎樣吩咐他的僕人摩西，摩西就這樣吩咐約書亞，約書亞也照樣做了。凡耶和華所吩咐摩西的，約書亞沒有一件偏離不做的。
佔領的土地
16 約書亞奪了那全地，就是山區、整個尼革夫、歌珊全地、低地、亞拉巴、以色列的山區和山下的低地， 17 從上西珥的哈拉山，直到黑門山下面黎巴嫩平原的巴力‧迦得。他擒獲了那裏的眾王，把他們殺死。 18 約書亞和這些王作戰了很長的一段日子。 19 除了希未人基遍的居民之外，沒有一城與以色列人講和，都是以色列人作戰奪來的。 20 因為耶和華的意思是要使他們的心剛硬，來與以色列人作戰，好使他們全被殺滅，不蒙憐憫，反被除滅，正如耶和華所吩咐摩西的。
21 那時約書亞來到，剪除了住山區、希伯崙、底璧、亞拿伯、整個猶大山區和以色列山區的亞衲族人。約書亞把他們和他們的城鎮盡都毀滅。 22 以色列人的地中沒有留下一個亞衲族人，只有一些還留在迦薩、迦特和亞實突。 23 這樣，約書亞照着耶和華所吩咐摩西的一切話奪了那全地，就按着以色列支派所得的份把地分給他們為業。於是國中太平，沒有戰爭了。

打败北方诸王
11 夏琐王耶宾听见这些消息，就派人去见玛顿王约巴、伸仑王、押煞王， 2 还有北方山区、基尼烈南面的亚拉巴、西部丘陵和多珥高原的各王， 3 以及东西两面的迦南人、山区的亚摩利人、赫人、比利洗人、耶布斯人和黑门山麓米斯巴地区的希未人。 4 这些王便率领自己的军队，带着许多马匹和战车倾巢出动，人数多如海边的沙。 5 他们在米伦河会师，一同扎营，要跟以色列人交战。
6 耶和华对约书亚说：“你不要惧怕他们。明天这个时候，我必把他们全部交给以色列人杀戮，你要砍断他们马匹的蹄筋，烧毁他们的战车。” 7 于是，约书亚率领所有的军兵在米伦河边突袭敌军。 8 耶和华把敌军交在以色列人手中，以色列人打败了他们，追杀他们直到西顿大城、米斯利弗·玛音和东面的米斯巴谷，全部消灭了他们，一个没留。 9 约书亚照耶和华的吩咐，砍断他们马匹的蹄筋，烧毁他们的战车。
10 然后，约书亚回师攻陷夏琐，杀了夏琐王。夏琐在诸国中为首。 11 以色列人杀了城内的人，一个没留。约书亚放火烧了夏琐。 12 约书亚攻占了诸王所有的城池，擒获诸王。他照耶和华的仆人摩西的吩咐，将诸王全部杀死，毁掉城池。 13 以色列人只烧毁了夏琐，没有烧建在山丘上的其他城池。 14 他们杀掉城内所有的居民，一个没留，掳掠了城内所有的财物和牲畜。 15 耶和华怎样吩咐祂的仆人摩西，摩西也怎样吩咐约书亚，约书亚都一一照办，没有遗漏任何耶和华吩咐摩西的事。
16 约书亚占领了整个地区，包括山区、南地、歌珊全境、丘陵、亚拉巴和以色列山区及平原， 17 从哈拉山起到西珥，直到黑门山山麓黎巴嫩山谷的巴力·迦得城。约书亚擒获了各城的王，杀死了他们。 18 约书亚跟这些地区的诸王争战了很久。 19 除了基遍的希未人以外，其他没有一城向以色列人求和，以色列人全部攻占了这些城。 20 原来耶和华使他们心里刚硬，跟以色列人作战，好让他们遭受无情的毁灭，正如耶和华对摩西的吩咐。

King James Version
11 And it came to pass, when Jabin king of Hazor had heard those things, that he sent to Jobab king of Madon, and to the king of Shimron, and to the king of Achshaph,
2 And to the kings that were on the north of the mountains, and of the plains south of Chinneroth, and in the valley, and in the borders of Dor on the west,
3 And to the Canaanite on the east and on the west, and to the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Jebusite in the mountains, and to the Hivite under Hermon in the land of Mizpeh.
4 And they went out, they and all their hosts with them, much people, even as the sand that is upon the sea shore in multitude, with horses and chariots very many.
5 And when all these kings were met together, they came and pitched together at the waters of Merom, to fight against Israel.
6 And the Lord said unto Joshua, Be not afraid because of them: for to morrow about this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with fire.
7 So Joshua came, and all the people of war with him, against them by the waters of Merom suddenly; and they fell upon them.
8 And the Lord delivered them into the hand of Israel, who smote them, and chased them unto great Zidon, and unto Misrephothmaim, and unto the valley of Mizpeh eastward; and they smote them, until they left them none remaining.
9 And Joshua did unto them as the Lord bade him: he houghed their horses, and burnt their chariots with fire.
10 And Joshua at that time turned back, and took Hazor, and smote the king thereof with the sword: for Hazor beforetime was the head of all those kingdoms.
11 And they smote all the souls that were therein with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying them: there was not any left to breathe: and he burnt Hazor with fire.
12 And all the cities of those kings, and all the kings of them, did Joshua take, and smote them with the edge of the sword, and he utterly destroyed them, as Moses the servant of the Lord commanded.
13 But as for the cities that stood still in their strength, Israel burned none of them, save Hazor only; that did Joshua burn.
14 And all the spoil of these cities, and the cattle, the children of Israel took for a prey unto themselves; but every man they smote with the edge of the sword, until they had destroyed them, neither left they any to breathe.
15 As the Lord commanded Moses his servant, so did Moses command Joshua, and so did Joshua; he left nothing undone of all that the Lord commanded Moses.
16 So Joshua took all that land, the hills, and all the south country, and all the land of Goshen, and the valley, and the plain, and the mountain of Israel, and the valley of the same;
17 Even from the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir, even unto Baalgad in the valley of Lebanon under mount Hermon: and all their kings he took, and smote them, and slew them.
18 Joshua made war a long time with all those kings.
19 There was not a city that made peace with the children of Israel, save the Hivites the inhabitants of Gibeon: all other they took in battle.
20 For it was of the Lord to harden their hearts, that they should come against Israel in battle, that he might destroy them utterly, and that they might have no favour, but that he might destroy them, as the Lord commanded Moses.
21 And at that time came Joshua, and cut off the Anakims from the mountains, from Hebron, from Debir, from Anab, and from all the mountains of Judah, and from all the mountains of Israel: Joshua destroyed them utterly with their cities.
22 There was none of the Anakims left in the land of the children of Israel: only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod, there remained.
23 So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the Lord said unto Moses; and Joshua gave it for an inheritance unto Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from war.
