瑣法的回答
11 拿瑪人瑣法回答說：
2 「難道滔滔不絕就無人反駁？
難道嘮嘮叨叨就證明有理？
3 你喋喋不休，人們豈能緘默不言？
你嘲笑譏諷，豈不該有人使你羞愧？
4 你自以為信仰純全，
在上帝眼中清白。
5 唯願上帝發言，
開口駁斥你，
6 告訴你智慧的奧秘，
因為真智慧深奧難懂。
要知道，上帝對你的懲罰比你該受的還輕。
7 「你能測度上帝的深奧，
探索全能者的極限嗎？
8 那可比諸天還高，你能做什麼？
那可比陰間還深，你能知道什麼？
9 那可比大地還寬廣，
比海洋還遼闊。
10 祂若來囚禁你，
開庭審判，
誰能阻攔？
11 祂洞悉詭詐之人，
看見罪惡，
豈會不理？
12 愚蠢人若能變得聰明，
野驢駒也可生成人樣。
13 「你若把心安正，
向祂舉手禱告；
14 你若除去自己的罪惡，
不容帳篷裡有任何不義，
15 就必能無愧地仰起臉，
站立得穩，無所畏懼。
16 你必忘記自己的苦楚，
它從你記憶中如流水逝去。
17 你的人生將比正午還光明，
生命中的黑暗也必像黎明。
18 你必充滿盼望，感到安穩，
你必得到保護，安然入睡。
19 你睡覺時必無人驚擾，
許多人必求你施恩。
20 但惡人必眼目失明，無路可逃，
他們的指望只有死亡。」

11 Then Zophar the Naamathite(A) replied:
2 “Are all these words to go unanswered?(B)
Is this talker to be vindicated?(C)
3 Will your idle talk(D) reduce others to silence?
Will no one rebuke you when you mock?(E)
4 You say to God, ‘My beliefs are flawless(F)
and I am pure(G) in your sight.’
5 Oh, how I wish that God would speak,(H)
that he would open his lips against you
6 and disclose to you the secrets of wisdom,(I)
for true wisdom has two sides.
Know this: God has even forgotten some of your sin.(J)
7 “Can you fathom(K) the mysteries of God?
Can you probe the limits of the Almighty?
8 They are higher(L) than the heavens(M) above—what can you do?
They are deeper than the depths below(N)—what can you know?(O)
9 Their measure(P) is longer than the earth
and wider than the sea.(Q)
10 “If he comes along and confines you in prison
and convenes a court, who can oppose him?(R)
11 Surely he recognizes deceivers;
and when he sees evil, does he not take note?(S)
12 But the witless can no more become wise
than a wild donkey’s colt(T) can be born human.[a](U)
13 “Yet if you devote your heart(V) to him
and stretch out your hands(W) to him,(X)
14 if you put away(Y) the sin that is in your hand
and allow no evil(Z) to dwell in your tent,(AA)
15 then, free of fault, you will lift up your face;(AB)
you will stand firm(AC) and without fear.(AD)
16 You will surely forget your trouble,(AE)
recalling it only as waters gone by.(AF)
17 Life will be brighter than noonday,(AG)
and darkness will become like morning.(AH)
18 You will be secure, because there is hope;
you will look about you and take your rest(AI) in safety.(AJ)
19 You will lie down, with no one to make you afraid,(AK)
and many will court your favor.(AL)
20 But the eyes of the wicked will fail,(AM)
and escape will elude them;(AN)
their hope will become a dying gasp.”(AO)

2 Phải chăng không ai dám sửa dạy người nói nhiều?
Lẽ nào người có lý nhờ lắm lời?
3 Anh huênh hoang có làm người ta ngậm miệng,
Để không ai khiển trách khi anh nhạo báng?
4 Vì anh thưa với Chúa: “Đạo lý con chính đáng,
Và con trong sạch trước mắt Ngài.”
5 Ôi, ước gì Đức Chúa Trời phán dạy,
Ước gì Ngài mở miệng nói với anh!
6 Ước gì Ngài tỏ cho anh những bí ẩn của sự khôn ngoan,
Vì Ngài hành động cách nhiệm mầu.
Bấy giờ anh sẽ biết rằng Đức Chúa Trời bỏ qua một phần tội lỗi của anh.
Sự Khôn Ngoan Của Đức Chúa Trời Vượt Quá Sự Hiểu Biết Của Gióp
7 Có thể nào anh dò thấu sự sâu nhiệm của Đức Chúa Trời,
Hoặc khám phá được tận cùng sự hiểu biết của Đấng Toàn Năng?
8 Sự khôn ngoan của Ngài cao hơn các tầng trời, anh làm gì được?
Sâu hơn âm phủ, anh hiểu sao thấu?
9 Chiều dài hơn cả đất,
Chiều rộng hơn cả biển.
10 Nếu Ngài đi ngang qua, bắt giam một người nào, rồi đòi người đó ra tòa,
Ai có thể ngăn cản Ngài?
11 Vì Chúa biết người giả dối;
Khi Ngài thấy tội ác, lẽ nào Ngài không nhận ra?
12 Người đầu óc trống rỗng sẽ thông hiểu
Khi lừa rừng sanh con là người!

13 Vậy, nếu anh hướng lòng về Chúa,
Đưa tay lên hướng về Ngài,
14 Nếu có tội lỗi trong tay anh, hãy quăng xa đi,
Đừng để tội ác cư ngụ trong lều trại anh,
15 Bấy giờ anh sẽ ngước mặt lên, lương tâm không gợn vết,
Sống vững vàng, không sợ hãi chi.
16 Anh sẽ quên cảnh khổ nạn,
Chỉ nhớ nó như dòng nước chảy qua.
17 Bấy giờ đời anh sẽ sáng chói hơn ban trưa,
Cảnh tối tăm sẽ như trời hừng sáng.
18 Anh sẽ sống an ninh vì anh có hy vọng,
Anh sẽ được che chở và nằm ngủ bình an.
19 Anh sẽ nằm nghỉ, và không ai gây cho anh sợ hãi;
Nhiều người sẽ tìm anh xin ân huệ.
20 Nhưng kẻ ác sẽ mòn mắt trông đợi,
Mọi lối thoát tiêu tan,
Họ chỉ hy vọng thở hơi cuối cùng.

11 Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,
2 Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified?
3 Should thy lies make men hold their peace? and when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?
4 For thou hast said, My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in thine eyes.
5 But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against thee;
6 And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth.
7 Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?
8 It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know?
9 The measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.
10 If he cut off, and shut up, or gather together, then who can hinder him?
11 For he knoweth vain men: he seeth wickedness also; will he not then consider it?
12 For vain men would be wise, though man be born like a wild ass's colt.
13 If thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands toward him;
14 If iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles.
15 For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear:
16 Because thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away:
17 And thine age shall be clearer than the noonday: thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning.
18 And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety.
19 Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; yea, many shall make suit unto thee.
20 But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall not escape, and their hope shall be as the giving up of the ghost.
