善恶互论垂为箴言
20 酒能使人亵慢,浓酒使人喧嚷,凡因酒错误的,就无智慧。 2 王的威吓如同狮子吼叫,惹动他怒的是自害己命。 3 远离纷争是人的尊荣,愚妄人都爱争闹。 4 懒惰人因冬寒不肯耕种,到收割的时候,他必讨饭而无所得。 5 人心怀藏谋略好像深水,唯明哲人才能汲引出来。 6 人多述说自己的仁慈,但忠信人谁能遇着呢? 7 行为纯正的义人,他的子孙是有福的! 8 王坐在审判的位上,以眼目驱散诸恶。 9 谁能说:“我洁净了我的心,我脱净了我的罪”? 10 两样的法码,两样的升斗,都为耶和华所憎恶。 11 孩童的动作是清洁,是正直,都显明他的本性。 12 能听的耳,能看的眼,都是耶和华所造的。 13 不要贪睡,免致贫穷;眼要睁开,你就吃饱。 14 买物的说“不好,不好”,及至买去,他便自夸。 15 有金子和许多珍珠[a],唯有知识的嘴乃为贵重的珍宝。 16 谁为生人作保,就拿谁的衣服;谁为外人作保,谁就要承当。 17 以虚谎而得的食物人觉甘甜,但后来他的口必充满尘沙。 18 计谋都凭筹算立定,打仗要凭智谋。 19 往来传舌的泄漏密事,大张嘴的不可与他结交。 20 咒骂父母的,他的灯必灭,变为漆黑的黑暗。 21 起初速得的产业,终久却不为福。 22 你不要说“我要以恶报恶”,要等候耶和华,他必拯救你。 23 两样的法码为耶和华所憎恶,诡诈的天平也为不善。 24 人的脚步为耶和华所定,人岂能明白自己的路呢? 25 人冒失说“这是圣物”,许愿之后才查问,就是自陷网罗。 26 智慧的王簸散恶人,用碌碡滚轧他们。 27 人的灵是耶和华的灯,鉴察人的心腹。 28 王因仁慈和诚实得以保全他的国位,也因仁慈立稳。 29 强壮乃少年人的荣耀,白发为老年人的尊荣。 30 鞭伤除净人的罪恶,责打能入人的心腹。

20 酒使人放肆,烈酒叫人吵闹。
因酒误事,实为不智。
2 君王震怒如狮子咆哮,
触怒他的人自寻死路。
3 避免纷争是光荣,
愚人个个爱争吵。
4 懒惰人不按时耕种,
收获时必一无所得。
5 人心的谋略如深水,
唯有哲士才能汲取。
6 人都声称自己忠诚,
但谁能找到忠信者?
7 义人行为正直,
他的后代也蒙福。
8 王坐在宝座上审判,
他的眼目明察罪恶。
9 谁敢说:“我心灵洁净,纯洁无罪?”
10 缺斤少两、尺寸不足,
都为耶和华所憎恶。
11 孩童的举动是否纯良,
都显明他的本性。
12 能听的耳,能看的眼,
两者都为耶和华所造。
13 不要贪睡,免得贫穷;
勤劳工作,粮食丰足。
14 买主总说货物不好,
买走后又连连自夸。
15 智慧之言胜过黄金和许多珠宝。
16 谁为陌生人作保,就拿去谁的外衣;
谁为外族人作保,就要承担责任。
17 骗来的饼觉得香甜,
最后却是满口泥沙。
18 集思出良策,
征战靠智谋。
19 嚼舌的人泄露秘密,
不可结交多嘴的人。
20 咒骂父母的人,
他的生命[a]必消逝在黑暗中。
21 早年轻易得来之财,
最终不会成为祝福。
22 不要说:“我要以恶报恶”,
要等候耶和华替你申冤。
23 耶和华憎恶缺斤少两,
祂厌恶骗人的天平。
24 人的脚步由耶和华所定,
人怎能知道自己的道路?
25 人向主许愿要三思,
免得事后作茧自缚。
26 明君必筛出恶人,
用石磙碾轧他们。
27 心灵是耶和华的灯,
鉴察人的肺腑心肠。
28 君王靠慈爱和忠信护佑,
他的王位因慈爱而稳固。
29 力量是青年的荣耀,
白发是老人的尊荣。
30 鞭伤能驱除罪恶,
责打能洁净人心。

2 A king’s wrath strikes terror like the roar of a lion;(E)
those who anger him forfeit their lives.(F)
5 The purposes of a person’s heart are deep waters,(K)
but one who has insight draws them out.
6 Many claim to have unfailing love,
but a faithful person who can find?(L)
10 Differing weights and differing measures—
the Lord detests them both.(S)
11 Even small children are known by their actions,
so is their conduct really pure(T) and upright?
12 Ears that hear and eyes that see—
the Lord has made them both.(U)
13 Do not love sleep or you will grow poor;(V)
stay awake and you will have food to spare.
14 “It’s no good, it’s no good!” says the buyer—
then goes off and boasts about the purchase.
15 Gold there is, and rubies in abundance,
but lips that speak knowledge are a rare jewel.
16 Take the garment of one who puts up security for a stranger;
hold it in pledge(W) if it is done for an outsider.(X)
18 Plans are established by seeking advice;
so if you wage war, obtain guidance.(AA)
19 A gossip betrays a confidence;(AB)
so avoid anyone who talks too much.
20 If someone curses their father or mother,(AC)
their lamp will be snuffed out in pitch darkness.(AD)
21 An inheritance claimed too soon
will not be blessed at the end.
22 Do not say, “I’ll pay you back for this wrong!”(AE)
Wait for the Lord, and he will avenge you.(AF)
23 The Lord detests differing weights,
and dishonest scales do not please him.(AG)
24 A person’s steps are directed(AH) by the Lord.(AI)
How then can anyone understand their own way?(AJ)
25 It is a trap to dedicate something rashly
and only later to consider one’s vows.(AK)
26 A wise king winnows out the wicked;
he drives the threshing wheel over them.(AL)
29 The glory of young men is their strength,
gray hair the splendor of the old.(AQ)
