申命記 17:17-19

¹⁷他不可擁有許多妃嬪，恐怕他的心會偏離耶和華，也不可為自己積蓄大量金銀。 ¹⁸他登基後，要在利未祭司面前為自己抄錄一份律法書， ¹⁹把它放在身邊，一生誦讀，以便學習敬畏他的上帝耶和華，遵守律法書上的一切誡命和律例。

Deuteronomy 17:17-19

¹⁷And he ^(A)shall not acquire many wives for himself, lest his heart turn away, ^(B)nor shall he acquire for himself excessive silver and gold.

¹⁸“And when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, ^(C)he shall write for himself in a book a copy of this law, ^(D)approved by^[a] the Levitical priests. ¹⁹And ^(E)it shall be with him, and he shall read in it all the days of his life, ^(F)that he may learn to fear the Lord his God by keeping all the words of this law and these statutes, and doing them,

New International Version

¹⁷He must not take many wives,^(A) or his heart will be led astray.^(B) He must not accumulate^(C) large amounts of silver and gold.^(D)

¹⁸When he takes the throne^(E) of his kingdom, he is to write^(F) for himself on a scroll a copy^(G) of this law, taken from that of the Levitical priests. ¹⁹It is to be with him, and he is to read it all the days of his life^(H) so that he may learn to revere the Lord his God and follow carefully all the words of this law and these decrees^(I)
