13 摩 西 和 祭 司 以 利 亞 撒 ， 並 會 眾 一 切 的 首 領 ， 都 出 到 營 外 迎 接 他 們 。
14 摩 西 向 打 仗 回 來 的 軍 長 ， 就 是 千 夫 長 、 百 夫 長 ， 發 怒 ，
15 對 他 們 說 ： 你 們 要 存 留 這 一 切 婦 女 的 活 命 麼 ？
16 這 些 婦 女 因 巴 蘭 的 計 謀 ， 叫 以 色 列 人 在 毘 珥 的 事 上 得 罪 耶 和 華 ， 以 致 耶 和 華 的 會 眾 遭 遇 瘟 疫 。
17 所 以 ， 你 們 要 把 一 切 的 男 孩 和 所 有 已 嫁 的 女 子 都 殺 了 。
18 但 女 孩 子 中 ， 凡 沒 有 出 嫁 的 ， 你 們 都 可 以 存 留 他 的 活 命 。
19 你 們 要 在 營 外 駐 紮 七 日 ； 凡 殺 了 人 的 ， 和 一 切 摸 了 被 殺 的 ， 並 你 們 所 擄 來 的 人 口 ， 第 三 日 ， 第 七 日 ， 都 要 潔 淨 自 己 ，
20 也 要 因 一 切 的 衣 服 、 皮 物 、 山 羊 毛 織 的 物 ， 和 各 樣 的 木 器 ， 潔 淨 自 己 。
21 祭 司 以 利 亞 撒 對 打 仗 回 來 的 兵 丁 說 ： 耶 和 華 所 吩 咐 摩 西 律 法 中 的 條 例 乃 是 這 樣 ：
22 金 、 銀 、 銅 、 鐵 、 錫 、 鉛 ，
23 凡 能 見 火 的 ， 你 們 要 叫 他 經 火 就 為 潔 淨 ， 然 而 還 要 用 除 污 穢 的 水 潔 淨 他 ； 凡 不 能 見 火 的 ， 你 們 要 叫 他 過 水 。
24 第 七 日 ， 你 們 要 洗 衣 服 ， 就 為 潔 淨 ， 然 後 可 以 進 營 。

13 Moses, Eleazar the priest and all the leaders of the community went to meet them outside the camp. 14 Moses was angry with the officers of the army(A)—the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds—who returned from the battle.
15 “Have you allowed all the women to live?” he asked them. 16 “They were the ones who followed Balaam’s advice(B) and enticed the Israelites to be unfaithful to the Lord in the Peor incident,(C) so that a plague(D) struck the Lord’s people. 17 Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man,(E) 18 but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man.
19 “Anyone who has killed someone or touched someone who was killed(F) must stay outside the camp seven days.(G) On the third and seventh days you must purify yourselves(H) and your captives. 20 Purify every garment(I) as well as everything made of leather, goat hair or wood.(J)”
21 Then Eleazar the priest said to the soldiers who had gone into battle,(K) “This is what is required by the law that the Lord gave Moses: 22 Gold, silver, bronze, iron,(L) tin, lead 23 and anything else that can withstand fire must be put through the fire,(M) and then it will be clean. But it must also be purified with the water of cleansing.(N) And whatever cannot withstand fire must be put through that water. 24 On the seventh day wash your clothes and you will be clean.(O) Then you may come into the camp.(P)”

13 And Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and all the princes of the congregation, went forth to meet them without the camp.
14 And Moses was wroth with the officers of the host, with the captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, which came from the battle.
15 And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive?
16 Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the Lord in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the Lord.
17 Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.
18 But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.
19 And do ye abide without the camp seven days: whosoever hath killed any person, and whosoever hath touched any slain, purify both yourselves and your captives on the third day, and on the seventh day.
20 And purify all your raiment, and all that is made of skins, and all work of goats' hair, and all things made of wood.
21 And Eleazar the priest said unto the men of war which went to the battle, This is the ordinance of the law which the Lord commanded Moses;
22 Only the gold, and the silver, the brass, the iron, the tin, and the lead,
23 Every thing that may abide the fire, ye shall make it go through the fire, and it shall be clean: nevertheless it shall be purified with the water of separation: and all that abideth not the fire ye shall make go through the water.
24 And ye shall wash your clothes on the seventh day, and ye shall be clean, and afterward ye shall come into the camp.
