아담에서 아브라함까지
1 [a]인류 최초의 조상들은 아담, 셋, 에노스,
2 게난, 마할랄렐, 야렛,
3 에녹, 므두셀라, 라멕, 노아였으며
4 노아의 아들은 셈, 함, 야벳이었다.
5 야벳의 아들은 고멜, 마곡, 마대, 야완, 두발, 메섹, 디라스였으며
6 고멜의 아들은 아스그나스, 리밧, 도갈마였고
7 야완의 아들은 엘리사, 다시스, 깃딤, [b]로다님이었다.
8 함의 아들은 구스, 미스라임, 붓, 가나안이며
9 구스의 아들은 스바, 하윌라, 삽다, 라아마, 삽드가이고 라아마의 아들은 스바와 드단이었다.
10 또 구스에겐 니므롯이라는 아들이 있었는데 그는 세상에서 최초의 [c]정복자였다.
11 그리고 미스라임의 아들은 루딤, 아나밈, 르하빔, 납두힘,
12 바드루심, 갑도림, 가슬루힘이었으며 이 가슬루힘은 블레셋 사람의 조상이 되었다.
13 또 맏아들 시돈과 그리고 헷을 낳은 가나안은
14 여부스족, 아모리족, 기르가스족,
15 히위족, 알가족, 신족,
16 아르왓족, 스말족, 하맛족의 조상이 되었다.
17 셈의 아들은 엘람, 앗수르, 아르박삿, 룻, 아람이며 아람의 아들은 우스, 훌, 게델, 메섹이었다.
18 그리고 아르박삿의 아들은 셀라였고 셀라의 아들은 에벨이었다.
19 에벨은 두 아들을 낳아 그 중 하나의 이름을 벨렉이라 하였다. 이것은 그 당시에 세상 사람들이 나누어졌기 때문이었다. 그리고 벨렉의 동생은 욕단이었다.
20 욕단의 아들은 알모닷, 셀렙, 하살마, 예라,
21 하도람, 우살, 디글라,
22 에발, 아비마엘, 스바,
23 오빌, 하윌라, 요밥이었다.
24 셈에서 아브라함까지의 족보는 셈, 아르박삿, 셀라,
25 에벨, 벨렉, 르우,
26 스룩, 나홀, 데라,
27 아브람 곧 아브라함의 순서로 되어 있다.
아브라함의 후손들
28 아브라함의 아들은 이삭과 이스마엘이었으며
29 이스마엘의 아들은 맏아들 느바욧, 둘째 게달, 그리고 앗브엘, 밉삼,
30 미스마, 두마, 맛사, 하닷, 데마,
31 여둘, 나비스, 게드마였다.
32 아브라함에게는 그두라라는 첩이 있었다. 그녀가 낳은 아들은 시므란, 욕산, 므단, 미디안, 이스박, 수아였으며 욕산의 아들은 스바와 드단이었다.
33 그리고 미디안의 아들은 에바, 에벨, 하녹, 아비다, 엘다아였다.

35 에서의 아들은 엘리바스, 르우엘, 여우스, 얄람, 고라였다.

38 세일의 아들은 로단, 소발, 시브온, 아나, 디손, 에셀, 디산이며
39 로단의 아들은 호리와 호맘이었고 로단의 누이는 딤나였다.
40 소발의 아들은 알랸, 마나핫, 에발, 스비, 오남이며 시브온의 아들은 아야와 아나였다.
41 그리고 아나의 아들은 디손이며 디손의 아들은 하므란, 에스반, 이드란, 그란이고
42 에셀의 아들은 빌한, 사아완, 야아간이며 디산의 아들은 우스와 아란이었다.
43 이스라엘에 왕이 있기 전에 에돔 땅을 다스린 왕들을 순서대로 열거하면 다음과 같다: 딘하바 사람인 브올의 아들 벨라,
44 보스라 사람인 세라의 아들 요밥,
45 데만 지방 출신인 후삼,

51-54 하닷이 죽은 후에 에돔 사람들은 여러 부족으로 나누어졌으며 그 족장들은 딤나, [f]알랴, 여뎃, 오홀리바마, 엘라, 비논, 그나스, 데만, 밉살, 막디엘, 그리고 이람이었다.

1 亞當生塞特，塞特生以挪士， 2 以挪士生該南，該南生瑪勒列，瑪勒列生雅列， 3 雅列生以諾，以諾生瑪土撒拉，瑪土撒拉生拉麥， 4 拉麥生挪亞，挪亞生閃、含、雅弗。
5 雅弗的兒子是歌篾、瑪各、瑪代、雅完、土巴、米設、提拉。 6 歌篾的兒子是亞實基拿、低法、陀迦瑪。 7 雅完的兒子是以利沙、他施、基提、多單。
8 含的兒子是古實、麥西、弗、迦南。 9 古實的兒子是西巴、哈腓拉、撒弗他、拉瑪、撒弗提迦。拉瑪的兒子是示巴、底但。 10 古實也是寧錄之父，寧錄是世上第一位勇士。 11 麥西[a]的後代有路低人、亞拿米人、利哈比人、拿弗土希人、 12 帕斯魯細人、迦斯路希人、迦斐托人。非利士人是迦斐托人的後代。
13 迦南生長子西頓和次子赫。 14 他的後代還有耶布斯人、亞摩利人、革迦撒人、 15 希未人、亞基人、西尼人、 16 亞瓦底人、洗瑪利人和哈馬人。
17 閃的兒子是以攔、亞述、亞法撒、路德、亞蘭、烏斯、戶勒、基帖、米設。 18 亞法撒生沙拉，沙拉生希伯。 19 希伯有兩個兒子，一個名叫法勒[b]，因為那時，世人分地而居；法勒的兄弟叫約坍。 20 約坍生亞摩答、沙列、哈薩瑪非、耶拉、 21 哈多蘭、烏薩、德拉、 22 以巴錄、亞比瑪利、示巴、 23 阿斐、哈腓拉、約巴。這些都是約坍的兒子。 24 閃生亞法撒，亞法撒生沙拉， 25 沙拉生希伯，希伯生法勒，法勒生拉吳， 26 拉吳生西鹿，西鹿生拿鶴，拿鶴生他拉， 27 他拉生亞伯蘭——又名亞伯拉罕。
從亞伯拉罕到雅各
28 亞伯拉罕的兒子是以撒和以實瑪利。 29 以下是他們的後代：

38 西珥的兒子是羅坍、朔巴、祭便、亞拿、底順、以察、底珊。 39 羅坍的兒子是何利和荷幔，羅坍的妹妹是亭納。 40 朔巴的兒子是亞勒文、瑪拿轄、以巴錄、示非、阿南。祭便的兒子是亞雅、亞拿。 41 亞拿的兒子是底順。底順的兒子是哈默蘭、伊是班、益蘭、基蘭。 42 以察的兒子是辟罕、撒番、亞干。底珊的兒子是烏斯和亞蘭。
以東諸王
43 以色列人還沒有君王統治之前，在以東做王的人如下：

18 Arphaxad was the father of Shelah,
and Shelah the father of Eber.
19 Two sons were born to Eber:
One was named Peleg,[g] because in his time the earth was divided; his brother was named Joktan.
20 Joktan was the father of
Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah, 21 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah, 22 Obal,[h] Abimael, Sheba, 23 Ophir, Havilah and Jobab. All these were sons of Joktan.

28 The sons of Abraham:

45 When Jobab died, Husham from the land of the Temanites(AD) succeeded him as king.
46 When Husham died, Hadad son of Bedad, who defeated Midian in the country of Moab, succeeded him as king. His city was named Avith.
47 When Hadad died, Samlah from Masrekah succeeded him as king.
48 When Samlah died, Shaul from Rehoboth on the river[p] succeeded him as king.
49 When Shaul died, Baal-Hanan son of Akbor succeeded him as king.
50 When Baal-Hanan died, Hadad succeeded him as king. His city was named Pau,[q] and his wife’s name was Mehetabel daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-Zahab. 51 Hadad also died.
The chiefs of Edom were:
Timna, Alvah, Jetheth, 52 Oholibamah, Elah, Pinon, 53 Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar, 54 Magdiel and Iram. These were the chiefs of Edom.
