Hijos de Israel
2 Los hijos de Israel fueron: Rubén, Simeón, Leví, Judá, Isacar, Zabulón, 2 Dan, José, Benjamín, Neftalí, Gad y Aser.
Descendientes de Judá
3 Judá tuvo tres hijos de una mujer de Canaán, hija de Súaj, que fueron: Er, Onán y Selá. Pero el hijo mayor, Er, era tan malvado que el Señor le quitó la vida.
4 Entonces la viuda de Er, llamada Tamar, y su suegro Judá, tuvieron hijos gemelos, Fares y Zera. Así que Judá tuvo cinco hijos.
5 Los hijos de Fares fueron Jezrón y Jamul.
6 Los hijos de Zera fueron: Zimri, Etán, Hemán, Calcol y Dardá.
7 Acar hijo de Carmí fue el hombre que provocó la desgracia sobre el pueblo de Israel, pues desobedeció la orden de Dios de destruir todo lo que había en la ciudad de Jericó.
8 El hijo de Etán fue Azarías.
9 Los hijos de Jezrón fueron Jeramel, Ram, y Quelubay.
10 Ram fue el padre de Aminadab, y Aminadab fue el padre de Naasón, dirigente del pueblo de Israel.
11 Naasón fue el padre de Salmón, y Salmón fue el padre de Booz. 12 Booz fue el padre de Obed, y Obed fue el padre de Isaí.
13 El hijo primogénito de Isaí fue Eliab; el segundo, Abinadab; el tercero, Simá; 14 el cuarto, Natanael; el quinto, Raday; 15 el sexto, Ozén, y el séptimo fue David. 16 También tuvo dos hijas de la misma esposa, cuyos nombres fueron Sarvia y Abigaíl.
Los hijos de Sarvia fueron Abisay, Joab y Asael.
17 Abigaíl, cuyo marido fue Jéter, de la tierra de los ismaelitas, tuvo un hijo llamado Amasá.
18 Caleb hijo de Jezrón tuvo dos esposas, Azuba y Jeriot. Los hijos de Azuba fueron Jéser, Sobab y Ardón.
19 Después de la muerte de Azuba, Caleb se casó con Efrata, la cual dio a luz un hijo llamado Jur. 20 El hijo de Jur fue Uri, y el hijo de Uri fue Bezalel.
21 A la edad de sesenta años, Jezrón se casó con una hija de Maquir, la cual dio a luz un hijo cuyo nombre fue Segub. Maquir fue también padre de Galaad.
22 Segub fue padre de Yaír, quien gobernaba veintitrés ciudades en la tierra de Galaad. 23 Pero Guesur y Aram le arrebataron las ciudades de Yaír y Quenat, junto con sus aldeas.
Así que estos fueron los descendientes de Maquir, el padre de Galaad.
24 Después de la muerte de Jezrón en Caleb Efrata, su esposa Abías tuvo un hijo llamado Asur, que fue el padre de Tecoa.
25 Los siguientes fueron los hijos de Jeramel, que fue el primogénito de Jezrón: Ram, el mayor, Buná, Orén, Ozén y Ahías.
26 Atará, la segunda esposa de Jeramel, fue la madre de Onam.
27 Los hijos de Ram, el hijo mayor de Jeramel, fueron Maaz, Jamín y Équer.
28 Los hijos de Onam fueron Samay y Yada.
Los hijos de Samay fueron Nadab y Abisur.
29 Los hijos de Abisur y de su esposa Abijaíl fueron Ajbán y Molid.
30 Los hijos de Nadab fueron Séled y Apayin. Séled murió sin hijos, 31 pero Apayin tuvo un hijo de nombre Isí. El hijo de Isí fue Sesán, y el hijo de Sesán fue Ajlay.
32 Yada, hermano de Samay, tuvo dos hijos, Jéter y Jonatán. Jéter murió sin tener hijos, 33 pero Jonatán tuvo dos hijos, Pélet y Zazá.
Así que estos fueron los descendientes de Jeramel.
34-35 Sesán[a] no tuvo hijos sino hijas. Una de ellas fue concedida como esposa a Yarjá, esclavo suyo, procedente de Egipto. La esposa de Yarjá fue la madre de Atay.
36 El hijo de Atay fue Natán; el hijo de Natán fue Zabad, 37 el hijo de Zabad fue Eflal; el hijo de Eflal fue Obed; 38 el hijo de Obed fue Jehú; el hijo de Jehú fue Azarías; 39 el hijo de Azarías fue Heles; el hijo de Heles fue Elasá; 40 el hijo de Elasá fue Sismay; el hijo de Sismay fue Salún; 41 el hijo de Salún fue Jecamías; el hijo de Jecamías fue Elisama.
Descendientes de Caleb
42 Caleb, hermano de Jeramel, fue el padre de Mesá y de Maresá. Mesá, el hijo mayor, fue el padre de Zif, y Maresá fue el padre de Hebrón.
43 Los hijos de Hebrón fueron: Coré, Tapúaj, Requen y Semá.
44 Semá fue el padre de Raham, el cual fue padre de Jorcoán. Requen fue el padre de Samay.
45 El hijo de Samay fue Maón, y este fue el padre de Betsur.
46 Efá, concubina de Caleb, dio a luz a Jarán, a Mosá y a Gazez. Jarán, a su vez, tuvo un hijo al que también llamó Gazez.
47 Los hijos de Yaday fueron: Reguen, Jotán, Guesán, Pélet, Efá y Sagaf.
48-49 Macá, otra de las concubinas de Caleb, fue la madre de Séber, Tirjaná y Sagaf, quien fue el padre de Madmana, y a Seva, que fue el padre de Macbena y de Guibeá. Caleb tuvo también una hija llamada Acsa.
50 Los hijos de Jur, el hijo mayor de Caleb y Efrata, fueron: Sobal, padre de Quiriat Yearín, 51 Salmá, padre de Belén, y Jaref, padre de Bet Gader.
52 Los hijos de Sobal, padre de Quiriat Yearín, fueron: Haroé, la mitad de los manajatitas, 53 las familias de Quiriat Yearín, los itritas, los futitas, los sumatitas y los misraítas, de los cuales descendieron los zoratitas y los estaolitas.
54 Los descendientes de Salmá fueron: Belén, los netofatitas, Aterot Bet Joab, la mitad de los manajatitas y los zoreítas; 55 se incluía también a las familias de los escribas que vivían en Jabés, que fueron los tirateos, los simeateos y los sucateos.
Todos estos fueron los quenitas que descendieron de Jamat, que fue el padre de la familia de Recab.

2 These(A) were Israel’s sons:
Reuben, Simeon, Levi,
Judah, Issachar, Zebulun,
2 Dan, Joseph, Benjamin,
Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
Judah’s Descendants
3 Judah’s(B) sons: Er, Onan, and Shelah.(C) These three were born to him by Bath-shua the Canaanite woman. Er, Judah’s firstborn, was evil in the Lord’s sight, so he put him to death. 4 Judah’s daughter-in-law Tamar bore Perez and Zerah to him. Judah had five sons in all.
5 Perez’s sons: Hezron and Hamul.
6 Zerah’s sons: Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Calcol, and Dara[a](D)—five in all.
7 Carmi’s son: Achar,[b](E) who brought trouble on Israel when he was unfaithful by taking the things set apart for destruction.
8 Ethan’s son: Azariah.
9 Hezron’s sons, who were born to him: Jerahmeel, Ram, and Chelubai.[c]
10 Ram fathered Amminadab, and Amminadab fathered Nahshon, a leader of Judah’s descendants.
11 Nahshon fathered Salma, and Salma fathered Boaz.
12 Boaz fathered Obed, and Obed fathered Jesse.
13 Jesse fathered Eliab, his firstborn; Abinadab was born second, Shimea third, 14 Nethanel fourth, Raddai fifth, 15 Ozem sixth, and David seventh. 16 Their sisters were Zeruiah and Abigail. Zeruiah’s three sons: Abishai, Joab, and Asahel. 17 Amasa’s mother was Abigail, and his father was Jether the Ishmaelite.
18 Caleb son of Hezron had children by his wife Azubah and by Jerioth. These were Azubah’s sons: Jesher, Shobab, and Ardon. 19 When Azubah died, Caleb married Ephrath, and she bore Hur to him. 20 Hur fathered Uri, and Uri fathered Bezalel. 21 After this, Hezron slept with the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead.(F) Hezron had married her when he was sixty years old, and she bore Segub to him. 22 Segub fathered Jair, who possessed twenty-three towns in the land of Gilead. 23 But Geshur and Aram captured[d] Jair’s Villages[e] along with Kenath and its surrounding villages—sixty towns. All these were the descendants of Machir father of Gilead. 24 After Hezron’s death in Caleb-ephrathah, his wife Abijah bore[f] Ashhur to him. He was the father of Tekoa.
25 The sons of Jerahmeel, Hezron’s firstborn: Ram, his firstborn, Bunah, Oren, Ozem, and Ahijah. 26 Jerahmeel had another wife named Atarah, who was the mother of Onam.
27 The sons of Ram, Jerahmeel’s firstborn: Maaz, Jamin, and Eker.
28 Onam’s sons: Shammai and Jada.
Shammai’s sons: Nadab and Abishur. 29 Abishur’s wife was named Abihail, who bore Ahban and Molid to him.
30 Nadab’s sons: Seled and Appaim. Seled died without children.
31 Appaim’s son: Ishi.
Ishi’s son: Sheshan.
Sheshan’s descendant: Ahlai.
32 The sons of Jada, brother of Shammai: Jether and Jonathan. Jether died without children.
33 Jonathan’s sons: Peleth and Zaza. These were the descendants of Jerahmeel.
34 Sheshan had no sons, only daughters, but he did have an Egyptian servant whose name was Jarha. 35 Sheshan gave his daughter in marriage to his servant Jarha, and she bore Attai to him.
36 Attai fathered Nathan, and Nathan fathered Zabad.
37 Zabad fathered Ephlal, and Ephlal fathered Obed.
38 Obed fathered Jehu, and Jehu fathered Azariah.
39 Azariah fathered Helez, and Helez fathered Elasah.
40 Elasah fathered Sismai, and Sismai fathered Shallum.
41 Shallum fathered Jekamiah, and Jekamiah fathered Elishama.
42 The sons of Caleb brother of Jerahmeel: Mesha, his firstborn, fathered Ziph, and Mareshah, his second son,[g] fathered Hebron.
43 Hebron’s sons: Korah, Tappuah, Rekem, and Shema.
44 Shema fathered Raham, who fathered Jorkeam, and Rekem fathered Shammai.
45 Shammai’s son was Maon, and Maon fathered Beth-zur.
46 Caleb’s concubine Ephah was the mother of Haran, Moza, and Gazez. Haran fathered Gazez.
47 Jahdai’s sons: Regem, Jotham, Geshan, Pelet, Ephah, and Shaaph.
48 Caleb’s concubine Maacah was the mother of Sheber and Tirhanah. 49 She was also the mother of Shaaph, Madmannah’s father, and of Sheva, the father of Machbenah and Gibea. Caleb’s daughter was Achsah.
50 These were Caleb’s descendants.
The sons of Hur, Ephrathah’s firstborn:
Shobal fathered Kiriath-jearim;
51 Salma fathered Bethlehem,
and Hareph fathered Beth-gader.
52 These were the descendants of Shobal the father of Kiriath-jearim: Haroeh, half of the Manahathites,[h] 53 and the families of Kiriath-jearim—the Ithrites, Puthites, Shumathites, and Mishraites. The Zorathites and Eshtaolites descended from these.
54 Salma’s descendants: Bethlehem, the Netophathites, Atroth-beth-joab, and half of the Manahathites, the Zorites, 55 and the families of scribes who lived in Jabez—the Tirathites, Shimeathites, and Sucathites. These are the Kenites who came from Hammath, the father of Rechab’s family.

19 And when Azubah was dead, Caleb took unto him Ephrath, which bare him Hur.

21 And afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was threescore years old; and she bare him Segub.
22 And Segub begat Jair, who had three and twenty cities in the land of Gilead.
23 And he took Geshur, and Aram, with the towns of Jair, from them, with Kenath, and the towns thereof, even threescore cities. All these belonged to the sons of Machir the father of Gilead.
24 And after that Hezron was dead in Calebephratah, then Abiah Hezron's wife bare him Ashur the father of Tekoa.
25 And the sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron were, Ram the firstborn, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, and Ahijah.
26 Jerahmeel had also another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.
27 And the sons of Ram the firstborn of Jerahmeel were, Maaz, and Jamin, and Eker.

53 And the families of Kirjathjearim; the Ithrites, and the Puhites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; of them came the Zareathites, and the Eshtaulites,
54 The sons of Salma; Bethlehem, and the Netophathites, Ataroth, the house of Joab, and half of the Manahethites, the Zorites.
55 And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab.
