3 所以，你們既然與基督一同復活，就應當尋求天上的事，那裡有基督坐在　神的右邊。 ²你們要思念的，是天上的事，不是地上的事。 ³因為你們已經死了，你們的生命與基督一同隱藏在　神裡面。 ⁴基督就是你們的生命，他顯現的時候，你們也要和他一同在榮耀裡顯現。

⁵所以要治死你們在地上的肢體，就如淫亂、污穢、邪情、惡慾和貪心，貪心就是拜偶像。 ⁶因著這些事，　神的忿怒必要臨到悖逆的人（有些抄本無“悖逆的人”）。 ⁷你們從前在其中生活的時候，也曾經這樣行過。 ⁸但現在你們要除去忿怒、惱怒、惡毒、毀謗，以及粗言穢語這一切事。 ⁹不要彼此說謊，因為你們已經脫去了舊人和舊人的行為， ¹⁰穿上了新人。這新人照著他的創造者的形象漸漸更新，能夠充分認識主。 ¹¹在這一方面，並不分希臘人和猶太人，受割禮的和未受割禮的，未開化的人和西古提人，奴隸和自由人，唯有基督是一切，也在一切之內。

過新人的生活

¹⁸你們作妻子的，要順服丈夫，這在主裡是合宜的。 ¹⁹你們作丈夫的，要愛妻子，不可苦待她們。

²⁰你們作兒女的，要凡事聽從父母，因為這在主裡是可喜悅的。 ²¹你們作父親的，不要激怒兒女，免得他們灰心喪志。

²²你們作僕人的，要凡事聽從世上的主人，作事不要只作給人看，像那些討人歡心的一樣，卻要以真誠的心敬畏主。 ²³無論你們作甚麼，都要從心裡去作，像是為主作的，不是為人作的， ²⁴因為你們知道，你們一定會從主那裡得到基業為賞賜。你們應當服事主基督， ²⁵但那些不義的人，必按他所行的不義受報應。主並不偏待人。

追求屬天的事

3 你們既然和基督一同復活了，就應當追求天上的事，那裡有坐在上帝右邊的基督。 ²你們要思想天上的事，而不是地上的事， ³因為你們的舊生命已經死了，你們的新生命與基督一同藏在上帝裡面。 ⁴基督就是你們的新生命，祂顯現的時候，你們也必和祂一起在榮耀中顯現。

⁵所以，你們要治死身上屬世的罪惡，如淫亂、污穢、邪情、惡慾和貪心，貪心就是拜偶像， ⁶因為上帝的烈怒必臨到做這些事的悖逆之人。 ⁷你們過去也和他們一樣過著罪惡的生活， ⁸但現在必須杜絕這一切的惡事，如怒氣、憤恨、惡毒、毀謗和污言穢語。 ⁹不要彼此說謊，因為你們已經脫去了舊人和舊的行為， ¹⁰穿上了新人。這新人在知識上不斷更新，更像他的造物主。 ¹¹從此，不再分希臘人、猶太人，受割禮的、未受割禮的，野蠻人、未開化的人^[a]，奴隸和自由人，基督就是一切，並且貫穿一切。

3 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

²Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

³For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

⁴When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

⁵Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

⁶For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

⁷In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.

Not Carnality but Christ
