3 所以，你们既然与基督一同复活，就应当寻求天上的事，那里有基督坐在 神的右边。 2 你们要思念的，是天上的事，不是地上的事。 3 因为你们已经死了，你们的生命与基督一同隐藏在 神里面。 4 基督就是你们的生命，他显现的时候，你们也要和他一同在荣耀里显现。
5 所以要治死你们在地上的肢体，就如淫乱、污秽、邪情、恶欲和贪心，贪心就是拜偶像。 6 因着这些事， 神的忿怒必要临到悖逆的人（有些抄本无“悖逆的人”）。 7 你们从前在其中生活的时候，也曾经这样行过。 8 但现在你们要除去忿怒、恼怒、恶毒、毁谤，以及粗言秽语这一切事。 9 不要彼此说谎，因为你们已经脱去了旧人和旧人的行为， 10 穿上了新人。这新人照着他的创造者的形象渐渐更新，能够充分认识主。 11 在这一方面，并不分希腊人和犹太人，受割礼的和未受割礼的，未开化的人和西古提人，奴隶和自由人，唯有基督是一切，也在一切之内。

过新人的生活
18 你们作妻子的，要顺服丈夫，这在主里是合宜的。 19 你们作丈夫的，要爱妻子，不可苦待她们。
20 你们作儿女的，要凡事听从父母，因为这在主里是可喜悦的。 21 你们作父亲的，不要激怒儿女，免得他们灰心丧志。
22 你们作仆人的，要凡事听从世上的主人，作事不要只作给人看，像那些讨人欢心的一样，却要以真诚的心敬畏主。 23 无论你们作甚么，都要从心里去作，像是为主作的，不是为人作的， 24 因为你们知道，你们一定会从主那里得到基业为赏赐。你们应当服事主基督， 25 但那些不义的人，必按他所行的不义受报应。主并不偏待人。

Seek the Things Above
3 Therefore, if you have been raised together with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on the things above, not on the things on earth. 3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with him in glory.
Put Off the Old Behavior
5 Therefore put to death what is earthly in you[a]: sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustful passion, evil desire, and greediness, which is idolatry, 6 because of which the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, 7 in which also you once lived, when you used to live in them.[b] 8 But now you also lay aside all these things: anger, rage, wickedness, slander, abusive language from your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, because you[c] have taken off the old man together with his deeds, 10 and have put on the new man that is being renewed in knowledge according to the image of the one who created him, 11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave, or free, but Christ is all, and in all.
Appeal for New Behavior
12 Therefore, as the chosen of God, holy and dearly loved, put on affection, compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, 13 putting up with one another and forgiving one another. If anyone should have a complaint against anyone, just as also the Lord forgave you, thus also you do the same. 14 And to all these things add love, which is the bond of perfection. 15 And the peace of Christ must rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another with all wisdom, with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God, 17 and everything whatever[d] you do in word or in deed, giving thanks for all things in the name of the Lord Jesus to God the Father through him.
Mutual Responsibilities in Christian Relationships
18 Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. 19 Husbands, love your wives and do not be embittered against them. 20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is pleasing in the Lord. 21 Fathers, do not provoke your children, so that they will not become discouraged. 22 Slaves, obey your human[e] masters in everything, not while being watched[f], as people pleasers, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord. 23 Whatever you do, accomplish it from the soul, as to the Lord, and not to people, 24 because you[g] know that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. Serve[h] the Lord Christ. 25 For the one who does wrong will receive back whatever wrong he has done, and there is no partiality.

3 So if you have been raised with the Messiah, seek what is above, where the Messiah is, seated at the right hand of God.(A) 2 Set your minds on what is above, not on what is on the earth.(B) 3 For you have died,(C) and your life is hidden with the Messiah in God. 4 When the Messiah, who is your[a] life, is revealed,(D) then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.(E)
5 Therefore, put to death what belongs to your worldly nature:[b] sexual immorality, impurity,(F) lust,(G) evil desire, and greed,(H) which is idolatry.(I) 6 Because of these, God’s wrath(J) comes on the disobedient,[c] 7 and you once walked in these things when you were living(K) in them. 8 But now you must also put away(L) all the following: anger,(M) wrath,(N) malice,(O) slander,(P) and filthy language from your mouth.(Q) 9 Do not lie(R) to one another, since you have put off(S) the old self[d](T) with its practices 10 and have put on(U) the new self. The Christian Life
12 Therefore, God’s chosen ones, holy and loved,(X) put on heartfelt compassion, kindness,(Y) humility,(Z) gentleness,(AA) and patience,(AB) 13 accepting one another and forgiving one another if anyone has a complaint against another. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you must also forgive.(AC) 14 Above all, put on love—the perfect bond of unity. 15 And let the peace of the Messiah, to which you were also called(AD) in one body, control your hearts. Be thankful. 16 Let the message about the Messiah dwell richly among you, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, and singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, with gratitude in your hearts to God. 17 And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name(AE) of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
Christ in Your Home
18 Wives, be submissive to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.(AF)
19 Husbands,(AG) love your wives(AH) and don’t be bitter(AI) toward them.
20 Children,(AJ) obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.
21 Fathers,(AK) do not exasperate(AL) your children, so they won’t become discouraged.
22 Slaves, obey your human(AM) masters in everything. Don’t work only while being watched, in order to please men, but work wholeheartedly, fearing the Lord.(AN)
23 Whatever you do, do it enthusiastically,[h] as something done for the Lord and not for men,(AO) 24 knowing that you will receive the reward of an inheritance from the Lord. You serve the Lord Christ. 25 For the wrongdoer(AP) will be paid back for whatever wrong he has done, and there is no favoritism.
