Juicio contra las naciones vecinas
9 Profecía [a] de la palabra del Señor contra la tierra de Hadrac y Damasco, su lugar de reposo (porque hacia el Señor están puestos los ojos de los hombres y de todas las tribus de Israel(A)),
2 y también Hamat(B), que linda con ella,
y Tiro y Sidón, aunque[b] sean muy sabias(C).
3 Tiro se ha edificado una fortaleza(D),
y ha amontonado plata como polvo(E)
y oro(F) como barro de las calles.
4 He aquí, el Señor la despojará,
arrojará al mar su riqueza(G)
y ella será consumida por el fuego(H).
5 Ascalón lo verá y temerá,
también Gaza, y se retorcerá con gran dolor,
lo mismo Ecrón, pues su esperanza ha sido confundida.
Además perecerá el rey de Gaza,
y Ascalón no será habitada.
6 Un pueblo bastardo habitará en Asdod,
y yo destruiré el orgullo de los filisteos(I).
7 Quitaré la sangre de su boca,
y sus abominaciones de entre sus dientes.
Entonces él será también un remanente para nuestro Dios,
será como una tribu[c] en Judá,
y Ecrón será como el jebuseo.
8 Y yo acamparé junto a mi casa como un guardián[d]
para que nadie vaya ni venga[e](J),
y no pasará más sobre ellos el opresor(K),
porque ahora he visto con mis ojos.
Restauración del pueblo
9 Regocíjate sobremanera, hija de Sión.
Da voces de júbilo, hija de Jerusalén(L).
He aquí, tu rey viene a ti(M),
justo(N) y dotado de salvación[f](O),
humilde(P), montado en un asno(Q),
en un pollino, hijo de asna.
10 Destruiré el carro de Efraín
y el caballo(R) de Jerusalén,
y el arco de guerra será destruido(S).
Él hablará paz a las naciones(T),
y su dominio será de mar a mar,
y desde el río[g] hasta los confines de la tierra(U).
11 Y[h] en cuanto a ti, por la sangre de mi pacto contigo(V),
he librado a tus cautivos de la cisterna(W)
en la que no hay agua.
12 Volved a la fortaleza[i](X),
oh cautivos de la esperanza(Y);
hoy mismo anuncio
que el doble te restituiré(Z).
13 Porque entesaré a Judá como mi arco[j],
y cargaré el arco con Efraín.
Incitaré a tus hijos(AA), oh Sión,
contra tus hijos, oh Grecia,
y te haré como espada(AB) de guerrero(AC).
14 Entonces el Señor aparecerá sobre ellos(AD),
y saldrá como un rayo su flecha(AE);
el Señor Dios[k] tocará la trompeta(AF),
y caminará en los torbellinos(AG) del sur.
15 El Señor de los ejércitos los defenderá(AH);
ellos devorarán(AI) y pisotearán las piedras de la honda(AJ),
beberán y alborotarán como embriagados de vino(AK),
se llenarán como tazón de sacrificio,
empapados como las esquinas del altar(AL).
16 Los salvará el Señor su Dios aquel día
como rebaño de su pueblo(AM);
porque como piedras de una corona
brillan[l](AN) sobre su tierra.
17 Pues ¡cuánta es su gracia[m] y cuánta su hermosura(AO)!
El trigo hará florecer a los jóvenes(AP) y el mosto a las doncellas.

Castigo de las naciones vecinas
9 La profecía de la palabra de Jehová está contra la tierra de Hadrac y sobre Damasco;(A) porque a Jehová deben mirar los ojos de los hombres, y de todas las tribus de Israel. 2 También Hamat será comprendida en el territorio de este; Tiro y Sidón,(B) aunque sean muy sabias. 3 Bien que Tiro se edificó fortaleza, y amontonó plata como polvo, y oro como lodo de las calles, 4 he aquí, el Señor la empobrecerá, y herirá en el mar su poderío, y ella será consumida de fuego.
5 Verá Ascalón, y temerá; Gaza también, y se dolerá en gran manera; asimismo Ecrón, porque su esperanza será confundida; y perecerá el rey de Gaza, y Ascalón no será habitada. 6 Habitará en Asdod un extranjero, y pondré fin a la soberbia de los filisteos.(C) 7 Quitaré la sangre de su boca, y sus abominaciones de entre sus dientes, y quedará también un remanente para nuestro Dios, y serán como capitanes en Judá, y Ecrón será como el jebuseo. 8 Entonces acamparé alrededor de mi casa como un guarda, para que ninguno vaya ni venga, y no pasará más sobre ellos el opresor; porque ahora miraré con mis ojos.
El futuro rey de Sion
9 Alégrate mucho, hija de Sion; da voces de júbilo, hija de Jerusalén; he aquí tu rey vendrá a ti, justo y salvador, humilde, y cabalgando sobre un asno, sobre un pollino hijo de asna.(D) 10 Y de Efraín destruiré los carros, y los caballos de Jerusalén, y los arcos de guerra serán quebrados; y hablará paz a las naciones, y su señorío será de mar a mar, y desde el río hasta los fines de la tierra.(E)
11 Y tú también por la sangre de tu pacto serás salva; yo he sacado tus presos de la cisterna en que no hay agua. 12 Volveos a la fortaleza, oh prisioneros de esperanza; hoy también os anuncio que os restauraré el doble. 13 Porque he entesado para mí a Judá como arco, e hice a Efraín su flecha, y despertaré a tus hijos, oh Sion, contra tus hijos, oh Grecia, y te pondré como espada de valiente.
14 Y Jehová será visto sobre ellos, y su dardo saldrá como relámpago; y Jehová el Señor tocará trompeta, e irá entre torbellinos del austro. 15 Jehová de los ejércitos los amparará, y ellos devorarán, y hollarán las piedras de la honda, y beberán, y harán estrépito como tomados de vino; y se llenarán como tazón, o como cuernos del altar. 16 Y los salvará en aquel día Jehová su Dios como rebaño de su pueblo; porque como piedras de diadema serán enaltecidos en su tierra. 17 Porque ¡cuánta es su bondad, y cuánta su hermosura! El trigo alegrará a los jóvenes, y el vino a las doncellas.

9 The burden of the word of the Lord in the land of Hadrach, and Damascus shall be the rest thereof: when the eyes of man, as of all the tribes of Israel, shall be toward the Lord.
2 And Hamath also shall border thereby; Tyrus, and Zidon, though it be very wise.
3 And Tyrus did build herself a strong hold, and heaped up silver as the dust, and fine gold as the mire of the streets.
4 Behold, the Lord will cast her out, and he will smite her power in the sea; and she shall be devoured with fire.
5 Ashkelon shall see it, and fear; Gaza also shall see it, and be very sorrowful, and Ekron; for her expectation shall be ashamed; and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.
6 And a bastard shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines.
7 And I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth: but he that remaineth, even he, shall be for our God, and he shall be as a governor in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite.
8 And I will encamp about mine house because of the army, because of him that passeth by, and because of him that returneth: and no oppressor shall pass through them any more: for now have I seen with mine eyes.
9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.
10 And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth.
11 As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.
12 Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee;
13 When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man.
14 And the Lord shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord God shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.
15 The Lord of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar.
16 And the Lord their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land.
17 For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! corn shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the maids.
