对耶路撒冷的应许
8 万军之耶和华的话传给了我，说： 2 “万军之耶和华说，‘我对锡安充满了火热的爱，我为锡安而大发烈怒。 3 我要回到锡安，住在耶路撒冷。耶路撒冷必被称为忠信之城，我的山必被称为圣山。这是万军之耶和华说的。 4 必再次有年纪老迈、手拿拐杖的男女坐在耶路撒冷的街上。这是万军之耶和华说的。 5 街上必到处都是玩耍的男女孩童。’ 6 万军之耶和华说，‘那时，这事在这些余民看来是不可能的，但在我看来毫不稀奇。这是万军之耶和华说的。’ 7 万军之耶和华说，‘看啊，我要从东方和西方救出我的子民， 8 带他们回到耶路撒冷居住。他们要做我的子民，我要做他们信实和公义的上帝。’
9 “万军之耶和华说，‘在奠立万军之耶和华殿的根基那天，众先知都在场。现今听见这些先知之言的人啊，你们要刚强，以便可以建造圣殿！ 10 那日之前，人和牲畜都得不到工钱。在敌人的威胁下，人们出入没有平安。因为我使众人彼此为敌。 11 如今我不会像从前那样对待这些余民了。这是万军之耶和华说的。 12 因为他们必平安地撒种，葡萄树必结果子，土地必出产五谷，天必降下甘霖，我要把这些福气赐给这些余民。 13 犹大家和以色列家啊，从前你们在列国中是受咒诅的，现在我要拯救你们，使你们成为蒙福的人。你们不要惧怕，要刚强。’
14 “万军之耶和华说，‘从前你们的祖先惹我发怒，我决定毫不留情地降祸给他们。这是万军之耶和华说的。 15 现在我决定赐福给耶路撒冷和犹大家。你们不要惧怕。 16 你们所当做的是彼此说真话，在城门口秉公断案，使人和睦。 17 不可设阴谋彼此相害，不可以起假誓为乐，因为这些都是我所憎恶的。这是耶和华说的。’”
18 万军之耶和华的话传给了我，说： 19 “万军之耶和华说，‘四月、五月、七月、十月的禁食必成为犹大家欢喜快乐的日子和幸福的节期。因此，你们要喜爱真理与和平。 20 各族的人和各城的居民都必来这里。这是万军之耶和华说的。 21 这一城的居民必到那一城，说，我们快去向耶和华求恩，去寻求万军之耶和华吧！我自己也去。 22 各民族和各强国必来耶路撒冷寻求万军之耶和华，向耶和华求恩。 23 那时，十个来自列国、讲不同语言的人必拉住一个犹大人的衣角，说，让我们跟你们同去吧，因为我们听说上帝与你们同在。这是万军之耶和华说的。’”

8 Cuvântul Domnului oştirilor a vorbit astfel: 2 „Aşa vorbeşte Domnul oştirilor: ‘Am o mare râvnă(A) pentru Sion şi sunt stăpânit de o râvnă plină de mânie pentru el.’ 3 Aşa vorbeşte Domnul: ‘Mă întorc iarăşi în Sion(B) şi vreau să locuiesc(C) în mijlocul Ierusalimului. Ierusalimul(D) se va chema: «Cetatea cea credincioasă» şi muntele(E) Domnului oştirilor se va chema: «Muntele(F) cel sfânt».’ 4 Aşa vorbeşte Domnul oştirilor: ‘Iarăşi vor şedea pe uliţele Ierusalimului bătrâni şi femei în vârstă(G), fiecare cu toiagul în mână, din pricina marelui lor număr de zile. 5 Uliţele cetăţii vor fi pline de băieţi şi fete, care se vor juca pe uliţe.’ 6 Aşa vorbeşte Domnul oştirilor: ‘Dacă lucrul acesta va părea de mirat în ochii rămăşiţei poporului acestuia, în zilele acelea va fi de mirat(H) oare şi în ochii Mei?’ zice Domnul oştirilor. 7 Aşa vorbeşte Domnul oştirilor: ‘Iată, Eu izbăvesc(I) pe poporul Meu din ţara de la răsărit şi din ţara de la asfinţitul soarelui. 8 Îi voi aduce înapoi şi vor locui în mijlocul Ierusalimului; ei vor fi poporul Meu(J) şi Eu voi fi Dumnezeul lor cu adevăr şi dreptate(K).’ 9 Aşa vorbeşte Domnul oştirilor: ‘Întăriţi-vă mâinile(L), cei ce auziţi astăzi aceste cuvinte din gura prorocilor(M) care au vorbit în ziua(N) când s-a pus temelia Casei Domnului oştirilor, când s-a început să se zidească Templul! 10 Căci înainte de aceste zile, nu era răsplată(O) nici pentru lucrul omului, nici pentru vite. Cei ce intrau şi ieşeau(P) n-aveau nici ei pace din pricina vrăjmaşului, şi Eu dezbinam pe toţi oamenii unii împotriva altora. 11 Acum nu voi mai face rămăşiţei poporului acestuia ca în trecut, zice Domnul oştirilor. 12 Ci semănăturile(Q) vor merge bine, viţa îşi va da rodul, pământul(R) îşi va da roadele şi cerurile(S) îşi vor trimite roua, şi toate aceste lucruri le voi da în stăpânirea rămăşiţei poporului acestuia. 13 După cum aţi fost un blestem(T) între neamuri, casa lui Iuda şi casa lui Israel, tot astfel vă voi mântui şi veţi fi o binecuvântare(U). Nu vă temeţi, ci întăriţi-vă(V) mâinile!’ 14 Căci aşa vorbeşte Domnul oştirilor: ‘După cum(W) am căutat să vă fac rău când Mă mâniau părinţii voştri, zice Domnul oştirilor, şi nu M-am(X) căit de lucrul acesta, 15 tot aşa, acum, Mă întorc în aceste zile şi hotărăsc să fac bine Ierusalimului şi casei lui Iuda. Nu vă temeţi! 16 Iată ce trebuie să faceţi: Fiecare să spună aproapelui său adevărul(Y); judecaţi în porţile voastre după adevăr şi în vederea păcii; 17 niciunul să nu gândească(Z) în inima lui rău împotriva aproapelui său şi nici să nu iubiţi(AA) jurământul strâmb! Căci toate lucrurile acestea Eu le urăsc’, zice Domnul.” 18 Cuvântul Domnului oştirilor mi-a vorbit astfel: 19 „Aşa vorbeşte Domnul oştirilor: ‘Postul(AB) din luna a patra, postul(AC) din luna a cincea, postul din luna a şaptea(AD) şi postul din luna(AE) a zecea se vor preface pentru casa lui Iuda în zile de veselie(AF) şi de bucurie, în sărbători de voioşie. Dar iubiţi adevărul(AG) şi pacea!’ 20 Aşa vorbeşte Domnul oştirilor: ‘Vor mai veni iarăşi popoare şi locuitori dintr-un mare număr de cetăţi. 21 Locuitorii unei cetăţi vor merge la cealaltă şi vor zice: «Haidem să ne rugăm(AH) Domnului şi să căutăm pe Domnul oştirilor! Vrem să mergem şi noi!» 22 Şi multe(AI) popoare şi multe neamuri vor veni astfel să caute pe Domnul oştirilor la Ierusalim şi să se roage Domnului.’ 23 Aşa vorbeşte Domnul oştirilor: ‘În zilele acelea, zece oameni(AJ) din toate limbile neamurilor vor apuca pe un iudeu de poala hainei şi-i vor zice: «Vrem să mergem cu voi; căci am auzit că Dumnezeu(AK) este cu voi!»’ ”

8 Again the word of the Lord of hosts came to me, saying,
2 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; I was jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I was jealous for her with great fury.
3 Thus saith the Lord; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the Lord of hosts the holy mountain.
4 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand for very age.
5 And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof.
6 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; If it be marvellous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, should it also be marvellous in mine eyes? saith the Lord of hosts.
7 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country;
8 And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.
9 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, which were in the day that the foundation of the house of the Lord of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built.
10 For before these days there was no hire for man, nor any hire for beast; neither was there any peace to him that went out or came in because of the affliction: for I set all men every one against his neighbour.
11 But now I will not be unto the residue of this people as in the former days, saith the Lord of hosts.
12 For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.
13 And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong.
14 For thus saith the Lord of hosts; As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith the Lord of hosts, and I repented not:
15 So again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear ye not.
16 These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates:
17 And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the Lord.
18 And the word of the Lord of hosts came unto me, saying,
19 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace.
20 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities:
21 And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the Lord, and to seek the Lord of hosts: I will go also.
22 Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the Lord.
23 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.
