金灯台和橄榄树
4 那位与我说话的天使又来唤醒我，像唤醒睡觉的人一样。 2 他问我：“你看见了什么？”
我说：“我看见一个纯金的灯台，上面有一个油碗，灯台上有七盏灯，每盏灯有七个灯芯。 3 灯台旁边有两棵橄榄树，左右各一棵。” 4 我问与我说话的天使：“主啊，这是什么意思？” 5 他说：“你不知道吗？”我说：“主啊，我不知道。”
6 他对我说：“这是耶和华对所罗巴伯讲的话。万军之耶和华说，‘不靠权势，不靠才能，乃靠我的灵。 7 大山啊，你算什么？你必在所罗巴伯面前化为平地。他必搬出那块封殿顶的石头，伴随着欢呼声——愿恩典、恩典归于这殿！’”
8 耶和华的话又传给了我，说： 9 “所罗巴伯的手奠立这殿的根基，他的手也必完成这项工程。那时你便知道是万军之耶和华差遣我到你们这里来的。 10 谁敢藐视这微不足道的日子？人们看见所罗巴伯手中拿着线锤时，就必欢喜。
“这七盏灯是耶和华遍察天下的眼睛。”
11 我又问天使：“灯台左右的两棵橄榄树是什么意思？” 12 然后我又问道：“流出橄榄油的两个金管旁边的两根橄榄枝是什么意思？” 13 他说：“你不知道吗？”我说：“主啊，我不知道。” 14 他说：“这是侍立在天下之主旁边的两位受膏者。”

Zlatý svícen a dvě olivy
4 Potom mě ten anděl mluvící se mnou znovu probudil, jako se probouzí ten, kdo spí.
2 „Co vidíš?“ zeptal se mě.
„Vidím svícen,“ odpověděl jsem, „celý ze zlata. Na vrcholu má mísu se sedmi kahany a k těm sedmi kahanům na vrcholu svícnu vede po sedmi hubicích. 3 A u něj stojí dvě olivy, jedna vpravo od mísy a druhá vlevo.“
4 Tehdy jsem se zeptal anděla mluvícího se mnou: „Co to znamená, pane?“
5 „Ty nevíš, co to znamená?“ řekl mi anděl mluvící se mnou.
„Ne, pane,“ odpověděl jsem.
6 Řekl mi: „Toto je slovo Hospodinovo k Zerubábelovi: Ne silou ani mocí, ale mým Duchem! praví Hospodin zástupů. 7 Co jsi, ty veliká horo? Před Zerubábelem jsi rovinou! Osadí totiž vrcholový kámen za hlučného křiku: ‚Milost, milost jemu!‘“
8 Dostal jsem slovo Hospodinovo: 9 „Zerubábelovy ruce tento chrám založily a jeho ruce ho dokončí. Tehdy poznáš, že mě k vám poslal Hospodin zástupů. 10 Kdo by pohrdal dnem malých začátků? Takoví se zaradují, až uvidí ten znamenitý kámen v ruce Zerubábelově.“ [a]
„Těch sedm, to jsou oči Hospodinovy, procházející všechnu zemi.“ [b]
11 Zeptal jsem se ho: „A co znamenají ty dvě olivy vpravo a vlevo od svícnu?“
12 Zeptal jsem se znovu: „Co znamenají ty dvě olivové ratolesti, ze kterých dvěma zlatými trubicemi proudí zlatý olej?“
13 „Ty nevíš, co to znamená?“ řekl mi.
„Ne, pane,“ odpověděl jsem.
14 Tehdy mi řekl: „To jsou ti dva pomazaní olejem, kteří slouží Pánu vší země.“

The Vision of the Lampstand
4 The angel who had been speaking to me came again and roused me as if I had been sleeping. 2 “What do you see?” he asked.
“A lampstand made of gold,” I answered. “At the top is a bowl for the oil. On the lampstand are seven lamps, each one with places for seven wicks. 3 (A)There are two olive trees beside the lampstand, one on each side of it.” 4 Then I asked the angel, “What do these things stand for, sir?”
5 “Don't you know?” he asked me.
“No, I don't, sir,” I replied.
10b The angel said to me, “The seven lamps are the seven eyes of the Lord, which see all over the earth.”[a]
11 (B)Then I asked him, “What do the two olive trees on either side of the lampstand mean? 12 And what is the meaning of the two olive branches beside the two gold pipes from which the olive oil pours?”
13 He asked me, “Don't you know?”
“No, I don't, sir,” I answered.
14 Then he said, “These are the two men whom God has chosen and anointed to serve him, the Lord of the whole earth.”
God's Promise to Zerubbabel
6 The angel told me to give Zerubbabel this message from the Lord: “You will succeed, not by military might or by your own strength, but by my spirit. 7 Obstacles as great as mountains will disappear before you. You will rebuild the Temple, and as you put the last stone in place, the people will shout, ‘Beautiful, beautiful!’”
8 Another message came to me from the Lord. 9 He said, “Zerubbabel has laid the foundation of the Temple, and he will finish the building. When this happens, my people will know that it is I who sent you to them. 10a They are disappointed because so little progress is being made. But they will see Zerubbabel continuing to build the Temple, and they will be glad.”
