准绳的异象
2 我又举目观看，看见一人手里拿着量度用的绳子。（本节在《马索拉文本》为2:5）
2 我问他：“你到哪里去？”他对我说：“我要去量度耶路撒冷，看看有多宽，有多长。”
3 那与我说话的天使离去的时候，另有一位天使迎着他来， 4 对他说：“你快跑去告诉那年轻人：‘耶路撒冷必有人居住，像没有城墙规限的田野，因为城中的人和牲畜很多。 5 耶和华说：我要作耶路撒冷四围的火墙和城中的荣耀。’”
呼召人民回归故土
6 “嗨！嗨！你们要从北方之地逃走（这是耶和华的宣告），因为我过去曾把你们分散在天的四方。”这是耶和华的宣告。
7 耶和华说：“嗨！与巴比伦的居民同住的锡安的人民哪！逃跑吧！”
8 万军之耶和华这样说，得了荣耀之后，他差遣我去攻击那些劫掠你们的列国，因为凡触摸你们的，就是触摸他眼中的瞳人。 9 看哪！我要向他们挥动我的手，他们就必成了自己奴仆的掠物。这样，你们就知道万军之耶和华差遣了我。
10 “锡安的居民（“居民”原文作“女子”）哪！你们要欢呼快乐，因为我要来住在你们中间。”这是耶和华的宣告。 11 到那日，许多国家要归附耶和华，作他的（“他的”原文作“我的”）子民，他要（“他要”原文作“我要”）住在你们中间。你们就知道万军之耶和华差遣了我到你们那里去。 12 耶和华必再得着犹大作他在圣地的业分，他必再拣选耶路撒冷。
13 全人类都当在耶和华面前肃静，因为他从自己圣洁的居所被激动起来了。

Four Horns and Four Craftsmen
2 Then I lifted up my eyes and behold, I saw four horns! 2 I said to the angel speaking with me, ‘What are these?’
He said to me, ‘These are the horns that have scattered Judah, Israel and Jerusalem.’
3 Then Adonai showed me four craftsmen. 4 I asked, ‘What are these coming to do?’
He answered, ‘These are the horns that scattered Judah, so that no one could raise his head, but the craftsmen have come to frighten them, to cast down the horns of the nations that have lifted up their horn against the land of Judah to scatter it.’
Measuring Jerusalem
5 I lifted up my eyes—and behold, I saw a man with a measuring line in his hand. [a] 6 I asked, ‘Where are you going?’
He answered me, ‘To measure Jerusalem to see how wide and how long it is.’[b]
7 Then behold, the angel speaking with me left and another angel went out to meet him, 8 saying to him, ‘Run, speak to this young man saying: “Jerusalem will be inhabited as a village without walls because of the great number of men and livestock in it. 9 For I”—it is a declaration of Adonai—“will be a wall of fire around it and I will be the glory inside it. 10 Oy, oy! Flee from the land of the north”—it is a declaration of Adonai—“because I scattered you like the four winds of heaven”—it is a declaration of Adonai. 11 “Oy, Zion! Escape, you who are living with the daughter of Babylon.”
12 “For thus says Adonai-Tzva’ot, He has sent me after glory to the nations that plundered you—because whoever touches you touches the apple of His eye— 13 ‘For behold, I will shake My hand against them and they will be plunder to their servants.’ Then you will know that Adonai-Tzva’ot has sent me.
14 “‘Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion! For behold, I am coming and I will live among you’[c]—it is a declaration of Adonai. 15 ‘In that day many nations will join themselves to Adonai and they will be My people and I will dwell among you.’ Then you will know that Adonai-Tzva’ot has sent me to you. 16 Adonai will inherit Judah as His portion in the holy land and will once again choose Jerusalem. 17 Be silent before Adonai, all flesh, for He has aroused Himself from His holy dwelling.”
