⁸第二天，非利士人來剝那些被殺的人的衣物的時候，發現掃羅和他的三個兒子都倒斃在基利波山上， ⁹就砍下他的頭，解下他的兵器，又派人到非利士地的各處，去向他們的偶像的廟和人民報信。 ¹⁰他們把掃羅的兵器放在亞斯他錄的廟裡，又把他的屍體釘在伯．珊的城牆上。

New International Version

⁸The next day, when the Philistines^(A) came to strip the dead, they found Saul and his three sons fallen on Mount Gilboa. ⁹They cut off his head and stripped off his armor, and they sent messengers throughout the land of the Philistines to proclaim the news^(B) in the temple of their idols and among their people.^(C) ¹⁰They put his armor in the temple of the Ashtoreths^(D) and fastened his body to the wall of Beth Shan.^(E)
