²⁰以利祝福以利加拿和他妻子，對他說：「願耶和華讓你妻子再給你生兒育女，代替她求來並獻給耶和華的孩子。」他們就回家去了。 ²¹耶和華眷顧哈娜，她又生了三個兒子和兩個女兒。年少的撒母耳在耶和華面前漸漸長大。

²²以利年事已高，他聽說兩個兒子對待以色列人的惡行，以及他們與在會幕門口供職的婦女行淫的事後，

New International Version

²⁰Eli would bless Elkanah and his wife, saying, “May the Lord give you children by this woman to take the place of the one she prayed^(A) for and gave to^[a] the Lord.” Then they would go home. ²¹And the Lord was gracious to Hannah;^(B) she gave birth to three sons and two daughters. Meanwhile, the boy Samuel grew^(C) up in the presence of the Lord.

²²Now Eli, who was very old, heard about everything^(D) his sons were doing to all Israel and how they slept with the women^(E) who served at the entrance to the tent of meeting.

²⁰And Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife, and said, The Lord give thee seed of this woman for the loan which is lent to the Lord. And they went unto their own home.

²¹And the Lord visited Hannah, so that she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the Lord.

²²Now Eli was very old, and heard all that his sons did unto all Israel; and how they lay with the women that assembled at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
