1 Peter 1:3-12
New King James Version
A Heavenly Inheritance
3 (A)Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who (B)according to His abundant mercy (C)has begotten us again to a living hope (D)through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance [a]incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, (E)reserved in heaven for you, 5 (F)who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
6 (G)In this you greatly rejoice, though now (H)for a little while, if need be, (I)you have been [b]grieved by various trials, 7 that (J)the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though (K)it is tested by fire, (L)may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, 8 (M)whom having not [c]seen you love. (N)Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, 9 receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.
10 Of this salvation the prophets have inquired and searched carefully, who prophesied of the grace that would come to you, 11 searching what, or what manner of time, (O)the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow. 12 To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to [d]us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things which (P)angels desire to look into.

Born Again to a Living Hope
3 (A)Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! (B)According to his great mercy, (C)he has caused us to be born again to a living hope (D)through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to (E)an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and (F)unfading, (G)kept in heaven for you, 5 who by God's power are being guarded (H)through faith for a salvation (I)ready to be revealed in the last time. 6 In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by (J)various trials, 7 so that (K)the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes (L)though it is tested by (M)fire—may be found to result in (N)praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 8 (O)Though you have not seen him, you love him. (P)Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, 9 obtaining (Q)the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
10 Concerning this salvation, (R)the prophets who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours searched and inquired carefully, 11 inquiring (S)what person or time[a] (T)the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating (U)when he predicted (V)the sufferings of Christ and the subsequent glories. 12 (W)It was revealed to them that (X)they were serving not themselves but you, in the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the good news to you (Y)by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, (Z)things into which angels long to look.
