¹⁵你们要注意，谁都不要以恶报恶；相反，无论是彼此之间，还是对待众人，总要追求美善。

¹⁶要常常欢喜，
¹⁷不住地祷告，

¹⁵Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong,^(A) but always strive to do what is good for each other^(B) and for everyone else.

¹⁶Rejoice always,^(C) ¹⁷pray continually,^(D)

¹⁵See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

¹⁶Rejoice evermore.

¹⁷Pray without ceasing.
