16 凡有遗命，必须等到留遗命[a]的人死了。 17 因为人死了，遗命才有效力，若留遗命的尚在，那遗命还有用处吗？ 18 所以，前约也不是不用血立的。 19 因为摩西当日照着律法将各样诫命传给众百姓，就拿朱红色绒和牛膝草，把牛犊、山羊的血和水洒在书上，又洒在众百姓身上，说： 20 “这血就是神与你们立约的凭据。” 21 他又照样把血洒在帐幕和各样器皿上。 22 按着律法，凡物差不多都是用血洁净的，若不流血，罪就不得赦免了。

King James Version
16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
18 Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.
19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,
20 Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.
21 Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.
22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
