更美之约的大祭司
8 我们所讲的要点是：我们有这样一位大祭司，祂现在已经坐在天上至高上帝的宝座右边， 2 并在圣所里供职。这圣所就是真正的圣幕，不是人建立的，而是主亲手建立的。 3 所有的大祭司都是为了向上帝献礼物和祭物而设立的，因此我们这位大祭司也必须有所献上。 4 祂如果是在地上，根本不会做祭司，因为地上已经有照律法向上帝献礼物的祭司了。 5 这些祭司的事奉都是仿效和反映天上的事，正如摩西建圣幕的时候，上帝指示他说：
“你务要照着在山上指示你的样式造各样的器具。”
6 但如今，基督得到了一个更超越的职任，正如祂担任了更美之约的中保，这约是根据更美的应许所立的。 7 因为如果第一个约没有缺点，就不必另立新约了。 8 然而，上帝指责祂的百姓，说：
“看啊，时候将到，
我要与以色列家和犹大家另立新约，
9 这约不同于我与他们祖先所立的约，
就是我牵着他们祖先的手领他们离开埃及时所立的。
因为他们不持守我的约，
所以我不再理会他们。
这是主说的。
10 主又说，那些日子以后，
我将与以色列家立这样的约，
我要把我的律法放在他们脑中，
写在他们心上。
我要做他们的上帝，
他们要做我的子民。
11 谁都无需再教导自己的邻居和弟兄，
说，‘你要认识主。’
因为他们无论尊卑都必认识我。
12 我要赦免他们的过犯，
忘掉他们的罪恶。”
13 上帝既然说要立新约，就是把以前的约当作旧的了，那渐渐过时、陈旧的东西很快就会消失。

O Livro
O sumo sacerdote da nova aliança
8 Portanto, em resumo, o que temos estado a dizer é que temos um sumo sacerdote, Cristo, que está no céu, sentado à direita do trono de Deus majestoso. 2 Aí ele exerce as suas funções no verdadeiro templo celestial, que é um tabernáculo construído pelo Senhor e não pelos homens.
3 E visto que todo o sumo sacerdote é nomeado para apresentar a Deus ofertas e sacrifícios, Cristo fez também uma oferta. 4 E o certo é que, aqui na Terra, ele não podia ter sido sacerdote, pois já havia outros sacerdotes para oferecer sacrifícios, de acordo com a Lei. 5 Estes servem num lugar de adoração que é somente uma cópia, uma sombra, do verdadeiro santuário nos domínios celestiais. Porque quando Moisés se preparava para construir o tabernáculo, o Senhor avisou-o de que devia seguir exatamente o modelo que lhe tinha sido mostrado no monte Sinai.[a] 6 Mas a Cristo foi confiado um serviço muito mais importante, até porque a nova aliança, para o qual serviu de mediador, se fundamenta em promessas muito mais excelentes.
7 Evidentemente que se a primeira aliança tivesse sido perfeita não teria havido razão para ser substituída por outra aliança. 8 Mas Deus chamou a atenção para a imperfeição da velha aliança quando disse:
“Há de vir o tempo em que farei uma nova aliança
com o povo de Israel e de Judá.
9 Essa aliança não será como a que
eu estabeleci com os seus pais,
quando os tomei pela mão,
a fim de os fazer sair da terra do Egito.
Ora, como eles não cumpriram a sua obrigação nessa aliança,
eu por minha parte virei-lhes as costas, diz o Senhor.
10 Contudo, esta é a aliança que farei
com o povo de Israel, diz o Senhor:
Porei as minhas leis nos seus entendimentos,
vou escrevê-las nos seus corações.
Eu serei o seu Deus e eles serão o meu povo.
11 E então ninguém terá de dizer ao seu vizinho,
nem ao seu irmão:
‘Precisas de conhecer o Senhor!’
Porque todos, grandes e pequenos,
já me conhecerão nesse tempo.
12 Pois terei misericórdia deles e perdoarei as suas injustiças;
não me lembrarei mais dos seus pecados.”[b]
13 Portanto, se Deus fala de uma nova aliança é porque considera a anterior caducada. E, se prescreveu, por antiguidade, está posta de lado.

The New Priestly Service
8 Now this is the main point of the things we are saying: We have such a High Priest, (A)who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, 2 a Minister of (B)the [a]sanctuary and of (C)the true tabernacle which the Lord erected, and not man.
3 For (D)every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices. Therefore (E)it is necessary that this One also have something to offer. 4 For if He were on earth, He would not be a priest, since there are priests who offer the gifts according to the law; 5 who serve (F)the copy and (G)shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He said, (H)“See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.” 6 But now (I)He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a (J)better covenant, which was established on better promises.
A New Covenant(K)
7 For if that (L)first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second. 8 Because finding fault with them, He says: (M)“Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— 9 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord. 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the (N)Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and (O)I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 11 (P)None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the (Q)Lord,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. 12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, (R)and their sins [b]and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”
13 (S)In that He says, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.
