不可忽视救恩

2 因此，我们必须更加留心所听过的事，免得随流漂去。 2 要知道，那藉着天使所说的话既然是确定的，连一切过犯和悖逆都受到了应得的报应， 3 那么，如果我们忽视了如此伟大的救恩，又怎么能逃脱报应呢？这救恩起初由主传讲，后来由那些听见的人向我们证实。 4 神又照着自己的旨意，用神迹、奇事和各种大能，以及圣灵的各种恩赐，与他们一同见证。

耶稣与谦卑

5 事实上，我们所说的那“将要来的世界”，神并没有使它服从天使， 6 但是有人在经上[a]某处郑重地见证说：

“人算什么，你竟然顾念他？
人之子算什么，你竟然照顾他？
7 你使他暂时比天使低微[b]；
你赐他荣耀和尊贵为冠冕；[c]
8 你使万有都服从在他的脚下。”[d]

既然神使万有都服从他，就没有留下一样不服从他；但如今，我们还没有看见万有都服从他。 9 不过我们看见的是：那暂时比天使低微的耶稣，因着死亡的痛苦被赐予荣耀和尊贵为冠冕，好使他藉着神的恩典，替所有的人尝了死的滋味。

10 万有因他而有、万有藉他而成的那一位，既然要带领许多儿女归于荣耀，就藉着苦难使他们救恩的元首[e]得以成全，这是合宜的， 11 因为那使人分别为圣的，和那些被分别为圣的，都是出于同一位。因这理由，他称他们为弟兄，并不以为耻。 12 他说：

“我要向我的弟兄们宣扬你的名，
我要在会众面前歌颂你。”[f]

13 他又说：“我要依靠他。”[g]还说：“看哪，我和神所赐给我的孩子们都在这里[h]！”[i]

14 所以，孩子们既然同属血肉之体，他也照样同有一样的血肉之体，为要藉着死亡来废除那掌握死亡权势的——就是魔鬼， 15 并且释放那些因怕死而终生被束缚为奴役的人。 16 显然，他并不是要救拔天使，而是救拔亚伯拉罕的后裔。 17 故此，他必须在各方面都像他的弟兄们那样，为要在属神的事上成为怜悯人的、忠心[j]的大祭司，好为子民的罪孽献上平息祭[k]。 18 既然他自己在被试探的时候受了苦，他就能帮助那些受试探的人。

忽略伟大的救恩不能逃罪

2 因此，我们必须更加密切注意所听过的道理，免得我们随流失去。 2 那透过天使所传讲的信息既然是确定的，所有干犯和不听从的，都受了应得的报应。 3 如果我们忽略了这么大的救恩，怎么能逃罪呢？这救恩起初是由主亲自宣讲的，后来听见的人给我们证实了。 4 　神又照着自己的旨意，用神迹、奇事和各样异能，以及圣灵的恩赐，与他们一同作见证。

耶稣因受死得了荣耀尊贵

5 　神并没有把我们所说的“将来的世界”，交给天使管辖； 6 但是有人在圣经上某一处证实说：

“人算甚么，你竟记念他？

世人算甚么，你竟眷顾他？

7 你使他暂时成了比天使卑微（“暂时成了比天使卑微”或译：“比天使稍低微一点”），

却赐给他荣耀尊贵作冠冕，（有些古卷在此有“并立他统管你手所造的一切”一句）

8 使万物都服在他的脚下。”

既然万有都服了他，就没有剩下一样不服他的了。但是现在我们还没有看见万有都服他。 9 不过，我们看见那位暂时成了比天使卑微（“暂时成了比天使卑微”或译：“比天使稍低微一点”）的耶稣，因为受了死的痛苦，就得了荣耀尊贵作冠冕，好叫他因着　神的恩典，为万人尝了死味。

救恩的元首耶稣

10 万有因他而有、藉他而造的那位，为了要带领许多儿子进入荣耀里去，使救他们的元首借着受苦而得到成全，本是合适的。 11 因为那位使人成圣的，和那些得到成圣的，同是出于一个源头；所以他称他们为弟兄也不以为耻。 12 他说：

“我要向我的弟兄宣扬你的名，

我要在聚会中歌颂你。”

13 又说：

“我要信靠他。”

又说：

“看哪，我和　神所赐给我的孩子们。”

14 孩子们既然同有血肉之体，他自己也照样成为血肉之体，为要借着死，消灭那掌握死权的魔鬼， 15 并且要释放那些因为怕死而终身作奴仆的人。 16 其实，他并没有救援天使，只救援亚伯拉罕的后裔。 17 所以，他必须在各方面和他的弟兄们相同，为了要在　神的事上，成为仁慈忠信的大祭司，好为人民赎罪。 18 因为他自己既然经过试探，受了苦，就能够帮助那些被试探的人。

Warning to Pay Attention

2 We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.(A) 2 For since the message spoken(B) through angels(C) was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment,(D) 3 how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation?(E) This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord,(F) was confirmed to us by those who heard him.(G) 4 God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles,(H) and by gifts of the Holy Spirit(I) distributed according to his will.(J)

Jesus Made Fully Human

5 It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking. 6 But there is a place where someone(K) has testified:

“What is mankind that you are mindful of them,
    a son of man that you care for him?(L)
7 You made them a little[a] lower than the angels;
    you crowned them with glory and honor
8     and put everything under their feet.”[b][c](M)

In putting everything under them,[d] God left nothing that is not subject to them.[e] Yet at present we do not see everything subject to them.[f] 9 But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor(N) because he suffered death,(O) so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.(P)

10 In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists,(Q) should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered.(R) 11 Both the one who makes people holy(S) and those who are made holy(T) are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters.[g](U) 12 He says,

“I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters;
    in the assembly I will sing your praises.”[h](V)

13 And again,

“I will put my trust in him.”[i](W)

And again he says,

“Here am I, and the children God has given me.”[j](X)

14 Since the children have flesh and blood,(Y) he too shared in their humanity(Z) so that by his death he might break the power(AA) of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil(AB)— 15 and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear(AC) of death. 16 For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham’s descendants.(AD) 17 For this reason he had to be made like them,[k](AE) fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful(AF) and faithful high priest(AG) in service to God,(AH) and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people.(AI) 18 Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.(AJ)

Therefore We Must Pay More Attention To What God Said Through His Son

2 For this reason[a], we must pay more attention to the things having been heard, that we may not-ever drift-away. 2 For if the word having been spoken through angels proved-to-be firm, and every transgression and disobedience received a just penalty, 3 how shall we escape, having neglected[b] so great a salvation?— which, having begun to be spoken by the Lord, was confirmed to[c] us by the ones having heard, 4 God testifying-with both signs and wonders and various miracles and distributions of the Holy Spirit according to His will.

For The Coming World Is Subject To Jesus, Who Tasted Death For All And Was Crowned

5 For He[d] did not subject to angels the coming world concerning which we are speaking. 6 But one solemnly-testified somewhere saying, “What is man that You remember[e] him, or the son[f] of man that You look-after him? 7 You made him lower[g] than angels for a little[h] while. You crowned him with glory and honor. 8 You subjected all things under his feet” [Ps 8:4-6]. For[i] in the subjecting all things to him, He left nothing not-subject to him. But now we do not yet see all things having been subjected to him. 9 But[j] we see the One having been made lower than angels for a little while— Jesus— having been crowned with glory and honor because-of the suffering of the death, so-that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.

For It Was Fitting For God To Perfect The Author of Salvation Through Sufferings

10 For it was fitting[k] for Him[l] for-the-sake-of Whom are all things and through Whom are all things, that in bringing many sons to glory He should perfect[m] the Author[n] of their salvation through sufferings. 11 For both the One making-holy and the ones being made holy are all from one Father[o], for which reason He is not ashamed to be calling them brothers, 12 saying “I will declare Your name to My brothers. I will sing-praise to You in the midst of the congregation” [Ps 22:22]; 13 and again [in Isa 8:17], “I will be trusting[p] in Him”; and again [in Isa 8:18], “Behold— I and the children whom God gave to Me”.

So The Son Took On Mortal Flesh And Died To Release Us From The Power of Death

14 Therefore, since the children have shared of blood and flesh, He Himself also similarly partook of the same things in order that through death He might do-away-with[q] the one having the power of death (that is, the devil), 15 and release these: all-who by the fear of death were subject-to[r] slavery through all their living. 16 For He surely does not take-hold-of [s] angels, but He takes hold of the seed of Abraham.

He Had To Become Like Us In All Things In Order To Become a Merciful High Priest

17 Hence, He had-to become-like His brothers in all things in order that He might become a merciful and faithful High Priest in the things pertaining to God, so as to make-an-offering-for-satisfaction[t] [of God’s wrath] as to the sins of the people. 18 For having Himself [u] been tempted[v] in what He has suffered, He is able to help the ones being tempted.
