10 律法既是将来美事的影儿，不是本物的真像，总不能借着每年常献一样的祭物，叫那近前来的人得以完全。 2 若不然，献祭的事岂不早已止住了吗？因为礼拜的人，良心既被洁净，就不再觉得有罪了。 3 但这些祭物是叫人每年想起罪来， 4 因为公牛和山羊的血断不能除罪。 5 所以，基督到世上来的时候就说：“神啊，祭物和礼物是你不愿意的，你曾给我预备了身体。 6 燔祭和赎罪祭是你不喜欢的。 7 那时我说：‘神啊，我来了，为要照你的旨意行，我的事在经卷上已经记载了。’” 8 以上说：“祭物和礼物，燔祭和赎罪祭，是你不愿意的，也是你不喜欢的。”这都是按着律法献的。 9 后又说：“我来了为要照你的旨意行。”可见他是除去在先的，为要立定在后的。 10 我们凭这旨意，靠耶稣基督只一次献上他的身体，就得以成圣。 11 凡祭司天天站着侍奉神，屡次献上一样的祭物，这祭物永不能除罪。 12 但基督献了一次永远的赎罪祭，就在神的右边坐下了， 13 从此等候他仇敌成了他的脚凳。 14 因为他一次献祭，便叫那得以成圣的人永远完全。 15 圣灵也对我们作见证，因为他既已说过： 16 “主说：‘那些日子以后，我与他们所立的约乃是这样：我要将我的律法写在他们心上，又要放在他们的里面’”， 17 以后就说：“我不再记念他们的罪愆和他们的过犯。” 18 这些罪过既已赦免，就不用再为罪献祭了。
当存诚心和充足的信心来到神面前
19 弟兄们，我们既因耶稣的血得以坦然进入至圣所， 20 是借着他给我们开了一条又新又活的路，从幔子经过，这幔子就是他的身体； 21 又有一位大祭司治理神的家， 22 并我们心中天良的亏欠已经洒去，身体用清水洗净了，就当存着诚心和充足的信心来到神面前。 23 也要坚守我们所承认的指望，不致摇动，因为那应许我们的是信实的。 24 又要彼此相顾，激发爱心，勉励行善。 25 你们不可停止聚会，好像那些停止惯了的人，倒要彼此劝勉；既知道[a]那日子临近，就更当如此。
警戒故意犯罪
26 因为我们得知真道以后，若故意犯罪，赎罪的祭就再没有了， 27 唯有战惧等候审判和那烧灭众敌人的烈火。 28 人干犯摩西的律法，凭两三个见证人，尚且不得怜恤而死； 29 何况人践踏神的儿子，将那使他成圣之约的血当做平常，又亵慢施恩的圣灵，你们想，他要受的刑罚该怎样加重呢！ 30 因为我们知道谁说“申冤在我，我必报应”，又说“主要审判他的百姓”。 31 落在永生神的手里，真是可怕的！
义人必因信得生
32 你们要追念往日蒙了光照以后，所忍受大争战的各样苦难。 33 一面被毁谤，遭患难，成了戏景叫众人观看；一面陪伴那些受这样苦难的人。 34 因为你们体恤了那些被捆锁的人，并且你们的家业被人抢去，也甘心忍受，知道自己有更美、长存的家业。 35 所以，你们不可丢弃勇敢的心，存这样的心必得大赏赐。 36 你们必须忍耐，使你们行完了神的旨意，就可以得着所应许的。 37 “因为还有一点点时候，那要来的就来，并不迟延。 38 只是义人[b]必因信得生；他若退后，我心里就不喜欢他。” 39 我们却不是退后入沉沦的那等人，乃是有信心以致灵魂得救的人。

Animal Sacrifices Insufficient
10 For the law, having a (A)shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, (B)can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect. 2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once [a]purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins. 3 But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. 4 For (C)it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.
Christ’s Death Fulfills God’s Will(D)
5 Therefore, when He came into the world, He said:
(E)“Sacrifice and offering You did not desire,
But a body You have prepared for Me.
6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin
You had no pleasure.
7 Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come—
In the volume of the book it is written of Me—
To do Your will, O God.’ ”
8 Previously saying, “Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the law), 9 then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, [b]O God.” He takes away the first that He may establish the second. 10 (F)By that will we have been [c]sanctified (G)through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Christ’s Death Perfects the Sanctified
11 And every priest stands (H)ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 (I)But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down (J)at the right hand of God, 13 from that time waiting (K)till His enemies are made His footstool. 14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being [d]sanctified.
15 But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before,
16 (L)“This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,” 17 then He adds, (M)“Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” 18 Now where there is [e]remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.
Hold Fast Your Confession
19 Therefore, brethren, having (N)boldness[f] to enter (O)the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and (P)living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and having a High Priest over the house of God, 22 let us (Q)draw near with a true heart (R)in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for (S)He who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 (T)not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and (U)so much the more as you see (V)the Day approaching.
The Just Live by Faith
26 For (W)if we sin willfully (X)after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there (Y)no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and (Z)fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. 28 Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three (AA)witnesses. 29 (AB)Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, (AC)counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, (AD)and insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know Him who said, (AE)“Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” [g]says the Lord. And again, (AF)“The Lord will judge His people.” 31 (AG)It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
32 But (AH)recall the former days in which, after you were [h]illuminated, you endured a great struggle with sufferings: 33 partly while you were made (AI)a spectacle both by reproaches and tribulations, and partly while (AJ)you became companions of those who were so treated; 34 for you had compassion on [i]me (AK)in my chains, and (AL)joyfully accepted the plundering of your [j]goods, knowing that (AM)you have a better and an enduring possession for yourselves [k]in heaven. 35 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, (AN)which has great reward. 36 (AO)For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, (AP)you may receive the promise:
37 “For (AQ)yet a little while,
And (AR)He[l] who is coming will come and will not [m]tarry.
38 Now (AS)the[n] just shall live by faith;
But if anyone draws back,
My soul has no pleasure in him.”
39 But we are not of those (AT)who draw back to [o]perdition, but of those who (AU)believe to the saving of the soul.

Christ’s Sacrifice Once for All
10 The law is only a shadow(A) of the good things(B) that are coming—not the realities themselves.(C) For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect(D) those who draw near to worship.(E) 2 Otherwise, would they not have stopped being offered? For the worshipers would have been cleansed once for all, and would no longer have felt guilty for their sins.(F) 3 But those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins.(G) 4 It is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats(H) to take away sins.(I)
5 Therefore, when Christ came into the world,(J) he said:
“Sacrifice and offering you did not desire,
but a body you prepared for me;(K)
6 with burnt offerings and sin offerings
you were not pleased.
7 Then I said, ‘Here I am—it is written about me in the scroll(L)—
I have come to do your will, my God.’”[a](M)
8 First he said, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them”(N)—though they were offered in accordance with the law. 9 Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.”(O) He sets aside the first to establish the second. 10 And by that will, we have been made holy(P) through the sacrifice of the body(Q) of Jesus Christ once for all.(R)
11 Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices,(S) which can never take away sins.(T) 12 But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins,(U) he sat down at the right hand of God,(V) 13 and since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool.(W) 14 For by one sacrifice he has made perfect(X) forever those who are being made holy.(Y)
15 The Holy Spirit also testifies(Z) to us about this. First he says:
16 “This is the covenant I will make with them
after that time, says the Lord.
I will put my laws in their hearts,
and I will write them on their minds.”[b](AA)
17 Then he adds:
18 And where these have been forgiven, sacrifice for sin is no longer necessary.
A Call to Persevere in Faith
19 Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence(AC) to enter the Most Holy Place(AD) by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way(AE) opened for us through the curtain,(AF) that is, his body, 21 and since we have a great priest(AG) over the house of God,(AH) 22 let us draw near to God(AI) with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings,(AJ) having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience(AK) and having our bodies washed with pure water.(AL) 23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope(AM) we profess,(AN) for he who promised is faithful.(AO) 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,(AP) 25 not giving up meeting together,(AQ) as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another(AR)—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.(AS)
26 If we deliberately keep on sinning(AT) after we have received the knowledge of the truth,(AU) no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire(AV) that will consume the enemies of God. 28 Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.(AW) 29 How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God(AX) underfoot,(AY) who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant(AZ) that sanctified them,(BA) and who has insulted the Spirit(BB) of grace?(BC) 30 For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,”[d](BD) and again, “The Lord will judge his people.”[e](BE) 31 It is a dreadful thing(BF) to fall into the hands(BG) of the living God.(BH)
32 Remember those earlier days after you had received the light,(BI) when you endured in a great conflict full of suffering.(BJ) 33 Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution;(BK) at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated.(BL) 34 You suffered along with those in prison(BM) and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions.(BN) 35 So do not throw away your confidence;(BO) it will be richly rewarded.
36 You need to persevere(BP) so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.(BQ) 37 For,
38 And,
“But my righteous[g] one will live by faith.(BT)
And I take no pleasure
in the one who shrinks back.”[h](BU)
39 But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.

10 율법은 앞으로 올 좋은 일의 그림자에 불과하며 실체 그 자체가 아닙니 다. 그러므로 해마다 계속 드리는 똑같은 제사로는 예배드리러 나오는 사람들을 완전하게 할 수 없습니다.
2 만일 그것이 가능했다면 예배드리는 사람들이 단번에 깨끗하게 되어 다시는 죄의식을 갖지 않았을 것이며 제물을 드리는 일도 그만두었을 것입니다.
3 그러나 그 제사는 해마다 죄를 생각나게 할 뿐입니다.
4 그것은 황소나 염소의 피가 죄를 없애지 못하기 때문입니다.
5-6 그러므로 그리스도께서 세상에 오셨 을 때 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. [a]“주께서 제사와 예물을 원하지 않으시며 불로 태워 바치는 번제와 죄를 씻는 속죄제도 기뻐하지 않으시고 나를 위해 한 몸을 예비하셨습니다.
7 그때 내가 말하였습니다. ‘하나님이시여, 보십시오. 나에 관해 율법책에 기록되어 있는 대로 내가 주의 뜻을 행하러 왔습니다.’ ”
8 그리스도께서는 먼저 “주께서 제사와 예물과 번제와 속죄제를 원하거나 기뻐하지 않으셨습니다” 라고 말씀하시고 (이런 것은 율법이 요구하는 것임)

16 [b]“그 후에 내가 그들과 맺을 새로운 계약은 이렇다: 내가 나의 법을 그들 속에 새기고 그들의 마음에 기록할 것이다.”
17 그러고서 성령님은 [c]“그들의 죄와 악한 행동을 내가 다시는 기억하지 않을 것이다” 라고 하셨습니다.
18 이런 죄와 악한 행동을 용서받았으므로 다시는 죄를 위한 제사가 필요 없게 되었습니다.
19 형제 여러분, 그러므로 우리는 예수님의 피로 떳떳하게 지성소에 들어갈 수 있게 되었습니다.
20 그분은 우리를 위해 자신의 몸인 휘장을 찢어 새로운 생명의 길을 열어 놓으셨습니다.
21 우리에게는 하나님의 집을 다스리는 위대한 대제사장이 계십니다.
22 우리가 이미 마음에 피뿌림을 받아 악한 양심이 깨끗해졌고 우리의 몸도 맑은 물로 씻었으니 이제부터는 진실한 마음과 확고한 믿음으로 하나님께 나아갑시다.
23 약속하신 분은 신실하신 분이십니다. 우리가 고백하는 희망을 굳게 붙듭시다.
열심히 선한 일을 할 것
24 그리고 서로 격려하여 사랑과 선한 일을 위해 힘쓰도록 하십시오.
25 어떤 사람들의 습관과 같이 모이기를 중단하지 말고 서로 격려하여 주님이 오실 날이 가까울수록 더욱 모이는 일에 힘씁시다.
26 만일 우리가 진리를 알고 난 후에도 고의적으로 계속 죄를 짓는다면 그것을 속죄하는 제사는 없고
27 두려운 마음으로 심판을 기다리는 것과 하나님을 대적하는 원수들을 소멸할 무서운 불만 있을 것입니다.
28 모세의 법을 어긴 사람도 두세 증인만 있으면 동정의 여지없이 사형을 받았는데
29 하물며 하나님의 아들을 짓밟고 자기를 거룩하게 한 계약의 피를 깨끗지 않은 것으로 여기고 은혜를 주시는 성령님을 모욕한 사람이 받을 형벌이 어찌 더 무겁지 않겠습니까?
30 [d]“원수 갚는 것은 나의 일이다. 내가 갚아 주겠다” 하시고 또 [e]“주께서 자기 백성을 심판하실 것이다” 라고 말씀하신 분을 우리는 알고 있습니다.
31 [f]살아 계신 하나님의 심판의 대상이 된다는 것은 정말 무서운 일입니다.
32 여러분이 하나님의 빛을 받은 후에 심한 고난과 싸우며 견디던 그 때를 생각해 보십시오.
33 그때 여러분은 모욕과 핍박을 당하여 사람들의 구경거리가 된 적도 있었고 그런 취급을 받는 사람들의 친구가 되기도 했습니다.
34 여러분은 갇힌 사람들을 동정하였고 또 재산을 빼앗기면서도 그보다 더 좋고 영원한 유산이 있다는 것을 알고 그 일을 기쁘게 당하였습니다.
35 그러므로 여러분은 용기를 잃지 마십시오. 이것으로 큰 상을 받게 될 것입니다.
36 여러분이 하나님의 뜻을 행한 후에 하나님이 약속하신 것을 받으려면 인내가 필요합니다.
37 머지않아 그리스도께서 오실 것입니다.
38 그러나 의로운 사람은 믿음으로 살아야 합니다. 믿다가 뒤로 물러서면 하나님께서 기뻐하시지 않습니다.
39 우리는 뒤로 물러나 멸망할 사람들이 아니라 믿고 구원을 받을 사람들입니다. 믿음의 위력

21 And having an high priest over the house of God;
22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
32 But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;
33 Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.
34 For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.
35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
