¹⁸ As God is faithful,^(A) our message to you is not ‘Yes and no’. ¹⁹ For the Son of God,^(B) Jesus Christ, whom we proclaimed among you – Silvanus,^[a](C) Timothy, and I – did not become ‘Yes and no’. On the contrary, in him it is always ‘Yes’.^{(D) 20} For every one of God’s promises^(E) is ‘Yes’ in him. Therefore, through him we also say ‘Amen’^(F) to the glory of God.^(G)
