²⁰免得有人因為我們經管的捐款太多，就毀謗我們。 ²¹因為我們努力去作的，不僅是主認為是美的事，也是眾人認為是美的事。 ²²我們還派了另一位弟兄與他們同去；我們在許多的事上多次考驗過他，知道他很熱心；現在他對你們大有信心，就更加熱心了。

²⁰我們這樣做是為了避免有人挑我們的不是，因我們經手的捐款數目可觀。 ²¹無論在主面前或在人面前，我們務求行事為人光明磊落。

²²我們還要再派一位弟兄和他們一同去你們那裡。我們經過多次多方的考驗，證實他很熱心，而且他因為十分信任你們，現在更熱心了。

²⁰We want to avoid any criticism of the way we administer this liberal gift. ²¹For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of man.^(A)

²²In addition, we are sending with them our brother who has often proved to us in many ways that he is zealous, and now even more so because of his great confidence in you.
