25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
Glory Only in the Lord
26 For [a]you see your calling, brethren, (A)that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many [b]noble, are called. 27 But (B)God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; 28 and the [c]base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, 29 that no flesh should glory in His presence. 30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and (C)righteousness and sanctification and redemption— 31 that, as it is written, (D)“He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.”

26 Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called.(C) Not many of you were wise(D) by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 27 But God chose(E) the foolish(F) things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not(G)—to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast before him.(H) 30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus,(I) who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness,(J) holiness(K) and redemption.(L) 31 Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”[a](M)
