¹⁸十字架的教导对那些趋于毁灭的人来说是愚蠢的，但是，对于那些得救的人来说，却是上帝的力量。 ¹⁹因为《经》上说：

“我要毁灭聪明人的机智，
让智者的智慧变得毫无用处。”

²⁰智者在哪里呢？学者在哪里呢？当代的哲学家在哪里呢？难道上帝没有使世人的智慧变成愚蠢吗？

Christ the Power and Wisdom of God^(A)

¹⁸For the ^[a]message of the cross is ^(B)foolishness to ^(C)those who are perishing, but to us ^(D)who are being saved it is the ^(E)power of God. ¹⁹For it is written:

^(F)“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”

²⁰^(G)Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the ^[b]disputer of this age? ^(H)Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
