妇人、孩子和龙
12 接着，天上出现了一个大征兆：有一个妇人身披太阳，脚踏月亮，头上戴着十二颗星的冠冕。 2 她怀了孕；后来在临产的阵痛和分娩的折磨中喊叫起来。 3 随后，天上出现了另一个征兆：看哪，一条火红色的巨龙，有七个头和十只角，七个头上戴着七个王冠。 4 它的尾巴拖着天上星辰的三分之一，把它们摔在地上。这龙站在那快要生产的妇人面前，为要在她生产之后，吞吃她的孩子。 5 那妇人生了一个男孩子，就是那位将要用铁杖治理[a]万国的。可是这孩子被提到神和他的宝座那里。 6 那妇人就逃到旷野去，在那里有神已经为她所预备好的地方，好让她在那里被供养一千二百六十天。
巨龙战败坠地
7 接着，天上发生了战争：米迦勒和他的天使们与龙交战，龙和它的使者们也应战， 8 可是龙不能得胜，天上再也没有[b]它们的地方了。 9 于是那巨龙被摔了下来。它就是那古蛇，被称为魔鬼和撒旦，那迷惑普天下的。它被摔在地上，它的使者们也与它一起被摔了下来。
10 随后，我听见天上有一个大声音说：
“我们神的救恩、大能、国度，
和他基督的权柄，现在都来到了！
因为我们弟兄的控告者，
就是那日夜在我们神面前控告他们的，
已经被摔下去了。
11 他们藉着羔羊的血，藉着自己所见证的话语而胜过了它
，他们至死也没有爱惜自己的生命。
12 为此，诸天和居住在其中的，你们应当庆祝！
但是大地和海洋[c]却有祸了，
因为魔鬼知道自己的时候不多，
就怀着烈怒下到你们那里去了。”
巨龙迫害妇人
13 那龙一见自己被摔在地上，就追逼那生了男孩的妇人。 14 但那妇人被赐予了大鹰的两个翅膀，使她可以飞到旷野，到她自己的地方；在那里她被供养一期，二期，又半期[d]，远离那蛇的面。 15 蛇就在那妇人后面，从口里吐出水来，像江河一样，要把她冲走。 16 可是大地帮助了那妇人；大地张开口，吞下了从龙口里吐出的河水。 17 于是龙就向那妇人发怒，又去与她其余的后裔作战，这后裔就是那些遵守神的命令、持守有关耶稣[e]见证的人。 18 然后，龙[f]站在海边的沙滩上。[g]

The Woman and the Dragon
12 A great portent appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. 2 She was pregnant and was crying out in birth pangs, in the agony of giving birth. 3 Then another portent appeared in heaven: a great red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. 4 His tail swept down a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. Then the dragon stood before the woman who was about to bear a child, so that he might devour her child as soon as it was born. 5 And she gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to rule[a] all the nations with a rod of iron. But her child was snatched away and taken to God and to his throne; 6 and the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, so that there she can be nourished for one thousand two hundred and sixty days.
Michael Defeats the Dragon
7 And war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels fought against the dragon. The dragon and his angels fought back, 8 but they were defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. 9 The great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, proclaiming,
‘Now have come the salvation and the power
and the kingdom of our God
and the authority of his Messiah,[b]
for the accuser of our comrades[c] has been thrown down,
who accuses them day and night before our God.
11 But they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb
and by the word of their testimony,
for they did not cling to life even in the face of death.
12 Rejoice then, you heavens
and those who dwell in them!
But woe to the earth and the sea,
for the devil has come down to you
with great wrath,
because he knows that his time is short!’
The Dragon Fights Again on Earth
13 So when the dragon saw that he had been thrown down to the earth, he pursued[d] the woman who had given birth to the male child. 14 But the woman was given the two wings of the great eagle, so that she could fly from the serpent into the wilderness, to her place where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time. 15 Then from his mouth the serpent poured water like a river after the woman, to sweep her away with the flood. 16 But the earth came to the help of the woman; it opened its mouth and swallowed the river that the dragon had poured from his mouth. 17 Then the dragon was angry with the woman, and went off to make war on the rest of her children, those who keep the commandments of God and hold the testimony of Jesus.
The First Beast
18 Then the dragon[e] took his stand on the sand of the seashore.
