9 示巴女王听见所罗门的名声，就来到耶路撒冷，要用难解的话试问所罗门。跟随她的人甚多，又有骆驼驮着香料、宝石和许多金子。她来见了所罗门，就把心里所有的对所罗门都说出来。 2 所罗门将她所问的都答上了，没有一句不明白不能答的。 3 示巴女王见所罗门的智慧，和他所建造的宫室， 4 席上的珍馐美味，群臣分列而坐，仆人两旁侍立，以及他们的衣服装饰，酒政和酒政的衣服装饰，又见他上耶和华殿的台阶，就诧异得神不守舍， 5 对王说：“我在本国里所听见论到你的事和你的智慧实在是真的！ 6 我先不信那些话，及至我来，亲眼见了，才知道你的大智慧，人所告诉我的还不到一半。你的实迹越过我所听见的名声。 7 你的群臣、你的仆人常侍立在你面前听你智慧的话是有福的！ 8 耶和华你的神是应当称颂的！他喜悦你，使你坐他的国位，为耶和华你的神做王。因为你的神爱以色列人，要永远坚立他们，所以立你做他们的王，使你秉公行义。”
9 于是示巴女王将一百二十他连得金子和宝石，与极多的香料送给所罗门王。她送给王的香料，以后再没有这样的。 10 希兰的仆人和所罗门的仆人从俄斐运了金子来，也运了檀香木[a]和宝石来。 11 王用檀香木为耶和华殿和王宫做台，又为歌唱的人做琴瑟；犹大地从来没有见过这样的。 12 所罗门王按示巴女王所带来的还她礼物，另外照她一切所要所求的，都送给她。于是女王和她臣仆转回本国去了。
所罗门之丰富
13 所罗门每年所得的金子共有六百六十六他连得， 14 另外还有商人所进的金子，并且阿拉伯诸王与属国的省长都带金银给所罗门。 15 所罗门王用锤出来的金子打成挡牌二百面，每面用金子六百舍客勒， 16 又用锤出来的金子打成盾牌三百面，每面用金子三百舍客勒，都放在黎巴嫩林宫里。 17 王用象牙制造一个大宝座，用精金包裹。 18 宝座有六层台阶，又有金脚凳，与宝座相连。宝座两旁有扶手，靠近扶手有两个狮子站立。 19 六层台阶上有十二个狮子站立，每层有两个，左边一个，右边一个。在列国中没有这样做的。 20 所罗门王一切的饮器都是金的，黎巴嫩林宫里的一切器皿都是精金的，所罗门年间银子算不了什么。 21 因为王的船只与希兰的仆人一同往他施去，他施船只三年一次装载金银、象牙、猿猴、孔雀回来。

22 所罗门王的财宝与智慧胜过天下的列王。 23 普天下的王都求见所罗门，要听神赐给他智慧的话。 24 他们各带贡物，就是金器、银器、衣服、军械、香料、骡马，每年有一定之例。 25 所罗门有套车的马四千棚，有马兵一万二千，安置在屯车的城邑和耶路撒冷，就是王那里。 26 所罗门统管诸王，从大河到非利士地，直到埃及的边界。 27 王在耶路撒冷使银子多如石头，香柏木多如高原的桑树。 28 有人从埃及和各国为所罗门赶马群来。
所罗门卒其子罗波安继位
29 所罗门其余的事，自始至终，不都写在先知拿单的书上和示罗人亚希雅的预言书上，并先见易多论尼八儿子耶罗波安的默示书上吗？ 30 所罗门在耶路撒冷做以色列众人的王共四十年。 31 所罗门与他列祖同睡，葬在他父大卫城里。他儿子罗波安接续他做王。

9 스바 여왕이 솔로몬의 명성을 듣고 어려운 문제로 그를 시험하고자 예루살 렘으로 왔다. 그녀는 많은 수행원을 거느리고 향료와 금과 보석을 낙타에 잔뜩 싣고 와서 솔로몬을 만나 물어 보고 싶은 것을 다 그에게 말하였다.
2 그래서 솔로몬은 스바 여왕의 질문에 모두 대답하였으며 어려워서 설명하지 못하는 문제가 하나도 없었다.
3 스바 여왕은 솔로몬의 지혜로운 말을 듣고 또 그가 건축한 궁전과
4 그의 식탁에 오르는 음식과 그의 대신들이 앉는 좌석과 수많은 신하들과 술을 따르며 시중드는 사람들과 그들의 의복과 [a]성전에 드리는 제물을 보고 정신이 하나도 없었다.
5 그때 스바 여왕이 솔로몬에게 말하였다. “내가 내 나라에서 당신의 업적과 지혜에 대해 들은 소문이 모두 사실이군요.
6 나는 그런 소문을 믿지 않았는데 이제 내가 직접 와서 보니 사실에 비해 내가 들은 것은 절반도 못 되며 당신의 지혜는 소문보다 엄청납니다.
7 당신 앞에서 항상 당신의 지혜로운 말을 듣는 [b]당신의 가족과 신하들은 얼마나 행복하겠습니까!
8 당신의 하나님 여호와를 찬양합니다. 하나님이 당신을 기쁘게 여기셔서 자기를 위해 당신을 왕이 되게 하셨습니다. 여호와께서는 이스라엘을 사랑하셔서 막강한 나라가 되게 하시려고 당신을 왕으로 세워 바르고 선한 정치를 하게 하셨습니다.”
9 그러고서 스바 여왕은 자기가 가져 온 [c]약 4톤의 금과 아주 많은 향료와 보석을 왕에게 주었다. 그 중에서도 스바 여왕이 솔로몬왕에게 준 향료는 전에 한번도 보지 못한 것이었다.
10 (히람왕의 신하들과 솔로몬왕의 신하들은 오빌에서 금을 실어 올 때 많은 백단목과 보석도 함께 실어 왔다.
11 솔로몬왕은 그 백단목으로 성전과 궁전의 층계를 만들고 또 성가대를 위해 수금과 비파를 만들었는데 이런 악기들은 유다 땅에서 전에는 볼 수 없던 것들이었다.)
12 솔로몬왕은 스바 여왕에게 그녀가 가져온 선물 못지않게 푸짐한 선물을 주고 또 그녀가 요구하는 것은 무엇이든지 다 주었다. 그러자 스바 여왕과 그 수행원들은 자기 나라로 돌아갔다.

13-14 솔로몬왕이 무역하는 사람들과 상인 들에게서 거둬들이는 세금 외에도 매년 그에게 들어오는 금은 [d]약 23톤이나 되었다. 그 밖에 아라비아 왕들과 이스라엘의 여러 지방 장관들도 금과 은을 솔로몬에게 가져왔다.
15-16 솔로몬왕은 금으로 [e]약 3.5킬로그램의 큰 방패 200개와 [f]약 1.7킬로그램의 작은 방패 300개를 만들어 레바논의 숲이라고 부르는 궁에 두었다.
17 그는 또 상아로 큰 왕좌를 만들어 그것을 순금으로 입혔다.
18 그 왕좌에는 여섯 개의 계단이 있고 또 그 왕좌에 부착된 금발판 하나가 있었다. 그리고 앉는 자리 양쪽에는 팔걸이가 있으며 바로 그 곁에는 사자가 한 마리씩 서 있고
19 또 그 여섯 계단 양쪽 끝에는 열두 마리의 사자가 각각 한 마리씩 서 있었는데 이런 웅장한 왕좌는 세상의 그 어느 나라에서도 찾아볼 수 없는 것이었다.
20 그리고 솔로몬왕의 술잔은 모두 금으로 만들어졌으며 레바논 숲의 궁에서 사용하는 모든 그릇도 다 금으로 되어 있었다. 그러나 그 당시에 은은 별로 소중하게 여기지 않았으므로 은제품은 만들지 않았다.
21 솔로몬왕은 히람왕이 지원하는 선원들을 이용하여 3년마다 한 번씩 배를 다시스로 보내 금, 은, 상아, 원숭이, 그리고 공작을 실어 왔다.
22 솔로몬왕은 세상의 그 어느 왕보다도 부유하고 지혜로웠으므로
23 세상의 모든 사람들이 솔로몬을 찾아와서 하나님이 그에게 주신 지혜에 대하여 듣고 싶어하였다.
24 그래서 사람들은 해마다 선물을 가지고 찾아왔다. 그 선물들은 금은 제품, 의복, 무기, 향료, 말, 노새와 같은 것들이었다.
25 또 솔로몬에게는 말과 전차를 수용할 외양간 4,000채와 마병 12,000명이 있었다. 그 중 일부는 예루살렘의 왕궁에 배치하고 나머지는 여러 전차성에 배치하였다.
26 솔로몬은 유프라테스강에서부터 블레셋 땅과 이집트 국경 지대에 이르는 땅을 통치했는데
27 그 당시에는 예루살렘에 은이 돌처럼 흔했고 백향목은 저지대의 일반 뽕나무처럼 많았다.
28 그리고 말들은 이집트와 그 밖의 다른 나라에서 수입해 왔다.
솔로몬의 죽음
29 이 밖에 솔로몬에 대한 이야기는 예언자 나단의 역사와 실로 사람 아히야의 예언과 그리고 느밧의 아들 여로보암왕의 통치를 다룬 잇도의 환상책에 잘 나타나 있다.
30 솔로몬은 예루살렘에서 40년 동안 이스라엘을 통치하다가
31 죽어 다윗성에 장사되었고 그의 아들 르호보암이 왕위를 계승하였다.

9 於是示巴女王把約四千公斤金子、大批香料和寶石送給所羅門王；示巴女王送給所羅門王的香料，是猶大地從來沒有過的。 10 希蘭的僕人和所羅門的僕人從俄斐把黃金運來，也把檀香木和寶石運了來。 11 王用檀香木為耶和華的殿和王宮作了臺階，又為唱歌的人作了琴瑟；像這樣的東西，是在猶大地從來沒有見過的。
所羅門的回禮(C)
12 所羅門王按著示巴女王帶來給他的，回送她禮物；此外，還把女王所願所求的，都送給她，於是女王和她的臣僕都返回本國去了。
所羅門的財富與智慧(D)
13 所羅門每年所得的金子，共重兩萬三千公斤， 14 另外，還有從商人和行商運來的，阿拉伯諸王和本國的各總督，都把金銀運來給所羅門。 15 所羅門王用錘煉好的金子做了二百面大盾牌，每一面大盾牌用錘煉好的金子七公斤。 16 又用錘煉好的金子做了三百面小盾牌，每一面小盾牌用錘煉好的金子約三公斤；王把這些盾牌都放在黎巴嫩林宮。

9 And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came to prove Solomon with hard questions at Jerusalem, with a very great company, and camels that bare spices, and gold in abundance, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.
2 And Solomon told her all her questions: and there was nothing hid from Solomon which he told her not.
3 And when the queen of Sheba had seen the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he had built,
4 And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel; his cupbearers also, and their apparel; and his ascent by which he went up into the house of the Lord; there was no more spirit in her.
5 And she said to the king, It was a true report which I heard in mine own land of thine acts, and of thy wisdom:
6 Howbeit I believed not their words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the one half of the greatness of thy wisdom was not told me: for thou exceedest the fame that I heard.
7 Happy are thy men, and happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and hear thy wisdom.
8 Blessed be the Lord thy God, which delighted in thee to set thee on his throne, to be king for the Lord thy God: because thy God loved Israel, to establish them for ever, therefore made he thee king over them, to do judgment and justice.
9 And she gave the king an hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of spices great abundance, and precious stones: neither was there any such spice as the queen of Sheba gave king Solomon.
10 And the servants also of Huram, and the servants of Solomon, which brought gold from Ophir, brought algum trees and precious stones.
11 And the king made of the algum trees terraces to the house of the Lord, and to the king's palace, and harps and psalteries for singers: and there were none such seen before in the land of Judah.
12 And king Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatsoever she asked, beside that which she had brought unto the king. So she turned, and went away to her own land, she and her servants.
13 Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and threescore and six talents of gold;
14 Beside that which chapmen and merchants brought. And all the kings of Arabia and governors of the country brought gold and silver to Solomon.
15 And king Solomon made two hundred targets of beaten gold: six hundred shekels of beaten gold went to one target.
16 And three hundred shields made he of beaten gold: three hundred shekels of gold went to one shield. And the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.
17 Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with pure gold.
18 And there were six steps to the throne, with a footstool of gold, which were fastened to the throne, and stays on each side of the sitting place, and two lions standing by the stays:
19 And twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other upon the six steps. There was not the like made in any kingdom.
20 And all the drinking vessels of king Solomon were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold: none were of silver; it was not any thing accounted of in the days of Solomon.
21 For the king's ships went to Tarshish with the servants of Huram: every three years once came the ships of Tarshish bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.
22 And king Solomon passed all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.
23 And all the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, that God had put in his heart.
24 And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and raiment, harness, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.
25 And Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen; whom he bestowed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.
26 And he reigned over all the kings from the river even unto the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt.
27 And the king made silver in Jerusalem as stones, and cedar trees made he as the sycomore trees that are in the low plains in abundance.
28 And they brought unto Solomon horses out of Egypt, and out of all lands.
29 Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, first and last, are they not written in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the visions of Iddo the seer against Jeroboam the son of Nebat?
30 And Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel forty years.
31 And Solomon slept with his fathers, and he was buried in the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead.
