示巴女王拜访所罗门
9 示巴女王听闻所罗门的名声，便来用难题考问他。她率领许多随从，用骆驼驮着香料、宝石和大量的黄金到耶路撒冷晋见所罗门王，与所罗门谈论她心中的疑问。 2 所罗门王解答了她所有的问题，没有一样难得住他。 3 示巴女王看见所罗门的智慧，又看见他建的宫殿、 4 席上的美味、入座的群臣、侍立一旁的仆人、他们的服装、酒政、以及他在耶和华殿里献的燔祭，感到万分惊奇。 5 她对所罗门王说：“我在本国听到的有关你的功业和智慧原来都是真的。 6 若不是亲眼目睹，我不会相信。事实上，我听到的还不到一半！你的智慧远超过我听到的传闻。 7 你的臣仆经常侍立在你面前聆听智慧之言，真有福气！ 8 你的上帝耶和华当受称颂！祂喜爱你，立你做王统治祂的子民。因为你的上帝爱以色列人，要使他们永远坚立，所以立你为他们的王，使你秉公行义。”
9 示巴女王将四吨黄金、大量香料和宝石献给所罗门王。再无人像示巴女王那样献给所罗门王那么多香料。 10 希兰的仆人和所罗门的仆人从俄斐运来黄金、檀香木和宝石。 11 所罗门王用这些檀香木建造耶和华的殿和王宫的阶梯，又制作歌乐手的琴瑟。在犹大从来没有见过这样的物品。 12 所罗门王满足了示巴女王的一切要求，回赠她的礼物超过了她带来的。之后，女王和随从就回示巴去了。
所罗门王的财富
13 所罗门每年收到的黄金约二十三吨， 14 此外还有商人、阿拉伯诸王和国内各总督送给他的金银。 15 所罗门王用锤好的金子打造了二百面大盾牌，每面用七公斤金子； 16 又用锤好的金子打造了三百面小盾牌，每面用三点五公斤金子，全部放在黎巴嫩林宫。 17 王又造了一个象牙大宝座，外面用纯金包裹。 18 这宝座有六级台阶，又有金脚凳与宝座相连，宝座两旁有扶手，扶手两边各站着一头狮子， 19 六级台阶上共站着十二头狮子，每级台阶两端各站一头。这宝座举世无双。 20 所罗门王所有的杯子都是金的，黎巴嫩林宫里所有的器皿都是纯金的，没有一件是用银子造的，因为所罗门年间银子不算什么。 21 王有船队与希兰的仆人一起出海去他施，每三年就运回金银、象牙、猿猴和孔雀。 22 所罗门王的财富和智慧超过天下诸王。 23 天下的君王都纷纷来朝见所罗门，聆听上帝赐给他的智言慧语。 24 他们年年都带来礼物，有金银器皿、衣服、兵器、香料和骡马。 25 所罗门有四千个安置战车和马匹的棚，有一万二千名骑兵，驻扎在屯车城和他所在的耶路撒冷。 26 所罗门统管从幼发拉底河到非利士地区，远至埃及边境的诸王。 27 王使耶路撒冷的金银多如石头，使香柏木多如丘陵的无花果树。 28 所罗门的马匹都是从埃及和其他国家运来的。
所罗门逝世
29 所罗门一生的事迹，自始至终都记在拿单先知的史记、示罗人亚希雅的《预言书》和易多先见论尼八的儿子耶罗波安的《启示书》中。 30 所罗门在耶路撒冷统治以色列四十年， 31 他与祖先同眠后，葬在他父亲大卫的城里。他儿子罗波安继位。

Awo bwe yatuuka eri Sulemaani, n’anyumya naye ku ebyo byonna ebyali ku mutima gwe. 2 Sulemaani n’addamu ebibuuzo bye byonna, ne wataba n’ekimu ekyamulema okumunnyonnyola. 3 (B)Awo Kabaka omukazi w’e Seeba bwe yalaba amagezi ga Sulemaani, n’olubiri lwe yali azimbye, 4 n’emmere eyaliibwanga ku mmeeza ye, n’okutuula okw’abakungu be, n’abaweereza be mu byambalo byabwe, n’enyambuka gye yayambukangamu okugenda okuwaayo ebiweebwayo mu yeekaalu ya Mukama, n’aggwaamu omwoyo.
5 N’agamba kabaka nti, “Bye nnawulira nga ndi mu nsi yange ku bikwata ku bikolwa byo n’amagezi go bya mazima, 6 (C)naye nnali sibikkirizanga okutuusa bwe najja ne mbyelabirako n’amaaso gange. Laba saabuulirwa wadde ekitundu eky’ettutumo lyo; bye mpulidde bisingawo ku ebyo bye nnawulira. 7 Abantu bo nga balina omukisa! Abaddu bo abakuweereza bulijjo ne bawulira amagezi go nga balina omukisa! 8 (D)Mukama Katonda wo yeebazibwe akwenyumiririzaamu, era eyakuteeka ku ntebe yo ey’obwakabaka. Olw’okwagala kwa Katonda wo eri Isirayiri, era n’okwagala okubanyweza emirembe gyonna, kyeyava akufuula kabaka okubafuga, okukola obwenkanya n’obutuukirivu.”
9 (E)N’alyoka awa kabaka ettani nnya n’ekitundu eza zaabu, n’ebyakaloosa bingi nnyo nnyini, n’amayinja ag’omuwendo. Waali tewabangawo bya kaloosa bingi bwe bityo nga Kabaka omukazi w’e Seeba bye yawa kabaka Sulemaani.
10 (F)Abasajja ba Kulamu n’abasajja ba Sulemaani abaasuubulanga zaabu okuva e Ofiri baaleetanga n’emitoogo n’amayinja ag’omuwendo omungi. 11 Kabaka n’akozesa emitoogo egyo okuzimba amaddaala aga yeekaalu ya Mukama n’ag’olubiri lwa kabaka, ate era n’akolamu n’ennanga n’entongooli z’abayimbi. Waali tewabangawo bifaanana ng’ebyo mu nsi ya Yuda. 12 Kabaka Sulemaani n’awa Kabaka omukazi w’e Seeba byonna bye yayagala, okusinga n’ebyo bye yali amuleetedde. N’oluvannyuma n’addayo mu nsi ye n’ekibinja kye.

13 Obuzito bwa zaabu obwaleetebwanga eri Sulemaani buli mwaka bwaweranga ettani amakumi abiri mu ttaano, 14 (G)okwo nga tagasseeko ey’obusuulu eyaweebwangayo abasuubuzi n’abamaguzi. Ate era ne bakabaka ab’e Buwalabu ne bagavana ab’ensi bamuleeteranga zaabu n’effeeza.
15 Kabaka Sulemaani n’aweesa engabo ennene ebikumi bibiri okuva mu zaabu omukubeekube, buli emu ku zo ng’erimu kilo ssatu n’ekitundu eza zaabu omukubeekube. 16 (H)N’aweesa n’engabo entono ebikumi bisatu okuva mu zaabu omukubeekube, buli emu ku zo ng’erimu kilo emu ne desimoolo musanvu eza zaabu. Kabaka n’aziteeka mu lubiri lw’Ekibira kya Lebanooni. 17 (I)Kabaka n’akola entebe ey’obwakabaka ennene nga ya masanga, n’agibikkako zaabu ennongoose. 18 Entebe ye ey’obwakabaka yaliko amaddaala mukaaga, n’akatebe kawumulizaako ebigere akaakolebwa mu zaabu, era yaliko n’emikono eruuyi n’eruuyi, n’ebibumbe by’empologoma ennume bbiri nga ziyimiridde ku mabbali g’emikono. 19 N’empologoma kkumi na bbiri emmumbe zaali zisimbiddwa eruuyi n’eruuyi ku madaala omukaaga. Tewaali eyakolebwa ng’eyo mu bwakabaka obulala bwonna. 20 Ebinywerwamu byonna ebya kabaka Sulemaani byali bya zaabu, n’ebintu byonna ebyali mu lubiri lw’Ekibira kya Lebanooni byali bya zaabu omulongoseemu. Tewaali kyakolebwa mu ffeeza kubanga mu biro bya Sulemaani effeeza yabanga ya muwendo gwa wansi. 21 Kabaka yalina ebyombo ebyagendanga e Talusiisi n’abasajja ba Kulamu, era buli myaka esatu byaleetanga zaabu n’effeeza, n’amasanga, n’enkoba n’enkima okuva e Talusiisi.

Okufa kwa Sulemaani
29 (O)Ebyafaayo ebirala byonna ebyabaawo mu mulembe gwa Sulemaani okuva ku ntandikwa okutuusa ku nkomerero, tebyawandiikibwa mu byafaayo bya nnabbi Nasani, ne mu kwolesebwa kwa Akiya Omusiiro, ne mu birooto eby’omulabi Iddo ebikwata ku Yerobowaamu mutabani wa Nebati? 30 Sulemaani n’afugira Isirayiri yenna mu Yerusaalemi okumala emyaka amakumi ana. 31 (P)N’afa era n’aziikibwa mu kibuga kya kitaawe Dawudi, Lekobowaamu mutabani we n’amusikira.

La reina de Sabá visita a Salomón(A)
9 La reina de Sabá oyó hablar de la fama que Salomón había alcanzado, y fue a Jerusalén para ponerlo a prueba con preguntas difíciles. Llegó rodeada de gran esplendor, con camellos cargados de perfumes y con gran cantidad de oro y piedras preciosas. Cuando llegó ante Salomón, le preguntó todo lo que tenía pensado, 2 y Salomón respondió a todas sus preguntas. No hubo una sola pregunta de la cual no supiera la repuesta. 3 Al ver la reina de Sabá la sabiduría de Salomón, y el palacio que había construido, 4 los manjares de su mesa, los lugares que ocupaban sus oficiales, el porte y la ropa de sus criados, sus coperos y su ropa, y cómo subía al templo, se quedó tan asombrada 5 que dijo al rey: «Lo que escuché en mi país acerca de tus hechos y de tu sabiduría, es verdad; 6 pero sólo he podido creerlo ahora que he venido y lo he visto con mis propios ojos. En realidad, no me habían contado ni la mitad de tu gran sabiduría, pues tú sobrepasas lo que yo había oído. 7 ¡Qué felices deben de ser tus esposas, y qué contentos han de sentirse esos servidores tuyos, que siempre están a tu lado escuchando tus sabias palabras! 8 ¡Bendito sea el Señor tu Dios, que te vio con agrado y te puso sobre su trono para que fueras su rey! ¡Por el amor que tu Dios tiene a Israel, y para consolidarlo para siempre, te ha hecho rey sobre ellos para que gobiernes con rectitud y justicia!»
9 Luego entregó ella al rey tres mil novecientos sesenta kilos de oro, y gran cantidad de perfumes y piedras preciosas. Nunca llegó a Israel tal cantidad de perfumes como la que regaló la reina de Sabá al rey Salomón.
10 Además, los hombres al servicio de Hiram y de Salomón que habían traído oro de Ofir, trajeron también de allá madera de sándalo y piedras preciosas. 11 Con la madera de sándalo hizo el rey barandas para el templo del Señor y para el palacio real, y también arpas y salterios para los músicos. Nunca se había visto nada semejante en la tierra de Judá. 12 Por su parte, el rey Salomón dio a la reina de Sabá todo lo que ella quiso pedirle, además de lo que ya le había dado a cambio de lo que ella le había traído. Después la reina regresó a su país acompañada de la gente a su servicio.
Fama y riqueza de Salomón(B)
13 El oro que Salomón recibía cada año llegaba a unos veintidós mil kilos, 14 sin contar el tributo que le pagaban los comerciantes y viajeros. Además, todos los reyes de Arabia y los gobernadores del país le traían oro y plata a Salomón. 15 El rey Salomón mandó hacer doscientos escudos grandes de oro batido, empleando en cada uno seis kilos de oro. 16 Mandó hacer también trescientos escudos más pequeños, empleando en cada uno poco más de tres kilos de oro batido, y los puso en el palacio llamado «Bosque del Líbano». 17 Mandó hacer también un gran trono de marfil, y ordenó que lo recubrieran de oro puro. 18 El trono tenía sujetos a él seis escalones y un estrado de oro, y brazos a cada lado del asiento, junto a los cuales había dos leones de pie. 19 Había también doce leones de pie, uno a cada lado de los seis escalones. ¡Jamás se había construido en ningún otro reino nada semejante! 20 Además, todas las copas del rey eran de oro, lo mismo que toda la vajilla del palacio «Bosque del Líbano». No había nada de plata, porque en tiempos de Salomón ésta no era de mucho valor, 21 ya que los barcos del rey iban a Tarsis con los hombres al servicio de Hiram, y llegaban una vez cada tres años, trayendo oro, plata, marfil, monos y pavos reales.
22 El rey Salomón superaba a todos los reyes de la tierra en riqueza y sabiduría. 23 Todos los reyes del mundo querían verlo y escuchar la sabiduría que Dios le había dado, 24 y todos le llevaban cada año un regalo: objetos de plata y de oro, capas, armas, sustancias aromáticas, caballos y mulas.

25 Salomón tenía cuatro mil caballerizas para sus caballos y sus carros, y doce mil jinetes, los cuales destinó a los cuarteles de carros de combate y a la guardia real en Jerusalén. 26 Y Salomón era soberano de todos los reyes que había desde el río Éufrates hasta el país filisteo y hasta la frontera de Egipto. 27 El rey hizo que en Jerusalén hubiera tanta plata como piedras; y que abundara el cedro como las higueras silvestres en la llanura. 28 Los caballos para Salomón eran traídos de Musri y de todos los otros países.
Muerte de Salomón(D)
29 El resto de la historia de Salomón, desde el principio hasta el fin, está escrito en las crónicas del profeta Natán, en la profecía de Ahías el de Siló, y en las revelaciones del profeta Iddo concernientes a Jeroboam, hijo de Nabat. 30 Salomón reinó en Jerusalén sobre todo Israel durante cuarenta años, 31 y cuando murió lo enterraron en la Ciudad de David, su padre. The Queen of Sheba Visits Solomon(A)
9 When the queen of Sheba(B) heard of Solomon’s fame, she came to Jerusalem to test him with hard questions. Arriving with a very great caravan—with camels carrying spices, large quantities of gold, and precious stones—she came to Solomon and talked with him about all she had on her mind. 2 Solomon answered all her questions; nothing was too hard for him to explain to her. 3 When the queen of Sheba saw the wisdom of Solomon,(C) as well as the palace he had built, 4 the food on his table, the seating of his officials, the attending servants in their robes, the cupbearers in their robes and the burnt offerings he made at[a] the temple of the Lord, she was overwhelmed.
5 She said to the king, “The report I heard in my own country about your achievements and your wisdom is true. 6 But I did not believe what they said until I came(D) and saw with my own eyes. Indeed, not even half the greatness of your wisdom was told me; you have far exceeded the report I heard. 7 How happy your people must be! How happy your officials, who continually stand before you and hear your wisdom! 8 Praise be to the Lord your God, who has delighted in you and placed you on his throne(E) as king to rule for the Lord your God. Because of the love of your God for Israel and his desire to uphold them forever, he has made you king(F) over them, to maintain justice and righteousness.”
9 Then she gave the king 120 talents[b] of gold,(G) large quantities of spices, and precious stones. There had never been such spices as those the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.
10 (The servants of Hiram and the servants of Solomon brought gold from Ophir;(H) they also brought algumwood[c] and precious stones. 11 The king used the algumwood to make steps for the temple of the Lord and for the royal palace, and to make harps and lyres for the musicians. Nothing like them had ever been seen in Judah.)
12 King Solomon gave the queen of Sheba all she desired and asked for; he gave her more than she had brought to him. Then she left and returned with her retinue to her own country.
Solomon’s Splendor(I)
13 The weight of the gold that Solomon received yearly was 666 talents,[d] 14 not including the revenues brought in by merchants and traders. Also all the kings of Arabia(J) and the governors of the territories brought gold and silver to Solomon.
15 King Solomon made two hundred large shields of hammered gold; six hundred shekels[e] of hammered gold went into each shield. 16 He also made three hundred small shields(K) of hammered gold, with three hundred shekels[f] of gold in each shield. The king put them in the Palace of the Forest of Lebanon.(L)
17 Then the king made a great throne covered with ivory(M) and overlaid with pure gold. 18 The throne had six steps, and a footstool of gold was attached to it. On both sides of the seat were armrests, with a lion standing beside each of them. 19 Twelve lions stood on the six steps, one at either end of each step. Nothing like it had ever been made for any other kingdom. 20 All King Solomon’s goblets were gold, and all the household articles in the Palace of the Forest of Lebanon were pure gold. Nothing was made of silver, because silver was considered of little value in Solomon’s day. 21 The king had a fleet of trading ships[g] manned by Hiram’s[h] servants. Once every three years it returned, carrying gold, silver and ivory, and apes and baboons.
22 King Solomon was greater in riches and wisdom than all the other kings of the earth.(N) 23 All the kings(O) of the earth sought audience with Solomon to hear the wisdom God had put in his heart. 24 Year after year, everyone who came brought a gift(P)—articles of silver and gold, and robes, weapons and spices, and horses and mules.
25 Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots,(Q) and twelve thousand horses,[i] which he kept in the chariot cities and also with him in Jerusalem. 26 He ruled(R) over all the kings from the Euphrates River(S) to the land of the Philistines, as far as the border of Egypt.(T) 27 The king made silver as common in Jerusalem as stones, and cedar as plentiful as sycamore-fig trees in the foothills. 28 Solomon’s horses were imported from Egypt and from all other countries.
Solomon’s Death(U)
29 As for the other events of Solomon’s reign, from beginning to end, are they not written in the records of Nathan(V) the prophet, in the prophecy of Ahijah(W) the Shilonite and in the visions of Iddo the seer concerning Jeroboam(X) son of Nebat? 30 Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel forty years. 31 Then he rested with his ancestors and was buried in the city of David(Y) his father. And Rehoboam his son succeeded him as king.
