5 When all the work Solomon had done for the temple of the Lord was finished,(A) he brought in the things his father David had dedicated(B)—the silver and gold and all the furnishings—and he placed them in the treasuries of God’s temple.
The Ark Brought to the Temple(C)
2 Then Solomon summoned to Jerusalem the elders of Israel, all the heads of the tribes and the chiefs of the Israelite families, to bring up the ark(D) of the Lord’s covenant from Zion, the City of David. 3 And all the Israelites(E) came together to the king at the time of the festival in the seventh month.
4 When all the elders of Israel had arrived, the Levites took up the ark, 5 and they brought up the ark and the tent of meeting and all the sacred furnishings in it. The Levitical priests(F) carried them up; 6 and King Solomon and the entire assembly of Israel that had gathered about him were before the ark, sacrificing so many sheep and cattle that they could not be recorded or counted.
7 The priests then brought the ark(G) of the Lord’s covenant to its place in the inner sanctuary of the temple, the Most Holy Place, and put it beneath the wings of the cherubim. 8 The cherubim(H) spread their wings over the place of the ark and covered the ark and its carrying poles. 9 These poles were so long that their ends, extending from the ark, could be seen from in front of the inner sanctuary, but not from outside the Holy Place; and they are still there today. 10 There was nothing in the ark except(I) the two tablets(J) that Moses had placed in it at Horeb, where the Lord made a covenant with the Israelites after they came out of Egypt.
11 The priests then withdrew from the Holy Place. All the priests who were there had consecrated themselves, regardless of their divisions.(K) 12 All the Levites who were musicians(L)—Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun and their sons and relatives—stood on the east side of the altar, dressed in fine linen and playing cymbals, harps and lyres. They were accompanied by 120 priests sounding trumpets.(M) 13 The trumpeters and musicians joined in unison to give praise and thanks to the Lord. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments, the singers raised their voices in praise to the Lord and sang:
“He is good;
his love endures forever.”(N)
Then the temple of the Lord was filled with the cloud,(O) 14 and the priests could not perform(P) their service because of the cloud,(Q) for the glory(R) of the Lord filled the temple of God.

5 All the work Solomon did on Yahweh’s temple was finished. He brought the holy things that had belonged to his father David—the silver, gold, and all the utensils—and put them in the storerooms of Elohim’s temple.
The Lord Comes to His Temple(A)
2 Then Solomon assembled the respected leaders of Israel, all the heads of the tribes, and the leaders of the Israelite families. They came to Jerusalem to take the ark of Yahweh’s promise from the City of David (that is, Zion). 3 All the men of Israel gathered around the king at the Festival of Booths in the seventh month.
4 When all the leaders of Israel had arrived, the Levites picked up the ark. 5 They brought the ark, the tent of meeting, and all the holy utensils in it to the temple. The priests and the Levites carried them 6 while King Solomon and the whole assembly from Israel were offering countless sheep and cattle sacrifices in front of the ark. 7 The priests brought the ark of Yahweh’s promise to its place in the inner room of the temple (the most holy place) under the wings of the angels.[a]
8 The angels’ outstretched wings were over the place where the ark rested so that the angels became a covering above the ark and its poles. 9 The poles were so long that their ends could be seen in the holy place by anyone standing in front of the inner room,[b] but they couldn’t be seen outside. (They are still there today.) 10 There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets Moses placed there at Horeb, where Yahweh made a promise to the Israelites after they left Egypt.
11 All the priests who were present had performed the ceremonies to make themselves holy to God without regard to staying in their divisions. 12 All the Levites who were musicians—Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun, their sons, and their relatives—were dressed in fine linen and stood east of the altar with cymbals, harps, and lyres. With the musicians were 120 priests blowing trumpets. When the priests left the holy place,[c] 13 the trumpeters and singers praised and thanked Yahweh in unison. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals, and other musical instruments, they sang in praise to Yahweh: “He is good; his mercy endures forever.” Then Yahweh’s temple was filled with a cloud. 14 The priests couldn’t serve because of the cloud. Yahweh’s glory filled Elohim’s temple.

2 Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, which is Zion.
3 Wherefore all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto the king in the feast which was in the seventh month.
4 And all the elders of Israel came; and the Levites took up the ark.
5 And they brought up the ark, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, these did the priests and the Levites bring up.
6 Also king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel that were assembled unto him before the ark, sacrificed sheep and oxen, which could not be told nor numbered for multitude.
7 And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the Lord unto his place, to the oracle of the house, into the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims:
8 For the cherubims spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above.
9 And they drew out the staves of the ark, that the ends of the staves were seen from the ark before the oracle; but they were not seen without. And there it is unto this day.
10 There was nothing in the ark save the two tables which Moses put therein at Horeb, when the Lord made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.
11 And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place: (for all the priests that were present were sanctified, and did not then wait by course:
12 Also the Levites which were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:)
13 It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the Lord, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord;
14 So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.

5 Cuando concluyeron todas las obras que había encargado hacer para el Templo del Señor, Salomón llevó las ofrendas de oro y plata y otros utensilios consagrados por su padre David, y los depositó en el tesoro del Templo de Dios.
Traslado del Arca (1 Re 8,1-13)
2 Salomón convocó en Jerusalén, a los ancianos de Israel, a todos los jefes de las tribus y a los cabezas de familia israelitas para trasladar el Arca de la alianza del Señor desde la ciudad de David o Sión, 3 y todos los israelitas se reunieron con el rey en la fiesta del mes séptimo. 4 Cuando llegaron todos los ancianos de Israel, los levitas cargaron el Arca 5 y la trasladaron junto con la Tienda del encuentro y todos los objetos sagrados que había en ella y que fueron llevados por los sacerdotes levitas. 6 El rey Salomón y toda la asamblea de Israel reunida junto a él ante el Arca sacrificaron ovejas y toros en cantidades incalculables. 7 Los sacerdotes llevaron el Arca de la alianza del Señor a su lugar, al camarín del Templo o lugar santísimo, bajo las alas de los querubines. 8 Los querubines tenían sus alas extendidas sobre el lugar que ocupaba el Arca y cubrían por encima el Arca y sus varales. 9 Los varales eran tan largos que sus extremos se podían ver desde el lugar santo que estaba delante del camarín, aunque no se veían desde el exterior. Y allí siguen hasta el presente. 10 El Arca sólo contenía las dos losas que Moisés entregó en el Horeb, cuando el Señor hizo alianza con los israelitas tras la salida del país de Egipto. 11 Cuando los sacerdotes salieron del lugar santo (pues todos los sacerdotes presentes, sin distinción de turnos, se habían purificado), 12 todos los levitas cantores, descendientes y parientes de Asaf, Hemán y Jedutún, vestidos de lino, estaban de pie a la derecha del altar, tocando platillos, salterios y cítaras, acompañados de ciento veinte sacerdotes que tocaban las trompetas. 13 Y cuando los que tocaban las trompetas y los cantores entonaron al unísono la alabanza y la acción de gracias al Señor, haciendo sonar las trompetas, los platillos y demás instrumentos musicales y alabando al Señor [con estas palabras]: “porque es bueno y su amor no tiene fin”, el Templo se llenó con la nube de la gloria del Señor, 14 de forma que los sacerdotes no pudieron continuar su servicio a causa de la nube, pues la gloria del Señor había llenado el Templo de Dios.
