5 所羅門為耶和華的殿所作的一切工程完成了以後，就把他父親大衛分別為聖的東西：金銀和一切器皿，都帶來存放在神殿的庫房裡。

2 那時，所羅門把以色列的長老、各支派的首領和以色列人各家族的首領，都召集到耶路撒冷，要把耶和華的約櫃從大衛城，就是錫安運上來。 3 於是，以色列眾人在七月的節期來到時，都聚集到王那裡。 4 以色列的眾長老來到了，利未人就抬起約櫃。 5 他們把約櫃、會幕和會幕裡的一切神聖器皿都抬上來；是祭司和利未人把它們抬上來的。 6 所羅門王和那些聚集到他那裡的以色列全體會眾，都在約櫃前獻上牛羊為祭，數量無法計算，不能數點。 7 眾祭司把耶和華的約櫃抬進放約櫃的地方，就是內殿，至聖所裡面，放在兩個基路伯的翅膀底下。 8 基路伯在約櫃上面張開翅膀，遮蓋著約櫃和抬約櫃的槓。 9 那兩根槓很長，在內殿前可以看見約櫃那裡的槓頭，在殿外卻看不見；直到今日，那兩根槓還在那裡。 10 約櫃裡只有兩塊石版，就是以色列人出埃及以後，耶和華和他們立約的時候，摩西在何烈山放進去的。

5 Quando o templo acabou de ser construído, Salomão colocou no tesouro do templo a prata, o ouro e todos os recipientes consagrados por seu pai, David.
A arca é levada para o templo
(1 Rs 8.1-13)
2 Então Salomão convocou para Jerusalém os anciãos de Israel, os cabeças de tribos e de clãs, a fim de fazerem subir a arca da aliança do Senhor da Cidade de David, que é Sião. 3 Esta celebração ocorreu por ocasião da festa dos tabernáculos, no mês de Etanim, que é o sétimo mês[a].
4 Sob o olhar dos anciãos de Israel, os levitas ergueram a arca. 5 Os sacerdotes levitas transportaram a arca juntamente com a tenda do encontro, assim como os recipientes sagrados que tinham estado nela. 6 O rei Salomão e todo o povo juntaram-se em frente da arca e ofereceram um número incontável de cordeiros e bois.
7 Os sacerdotes pegaram na arca da aliança do Senhor e levaram-na para o interior do templo, para o lugar santíssimo, colocando-a sob as asas dos querubins. 8 Estes tinham sido construídos de forma que as asas se abriam sobre o lugar em que a arca se encontrava; assim, as asas faziam sombra sobre a arca e sobre as varas para a transportar. 9 Estas eram tão compridas que ultrapassavam os querubins e podiam ser vistas diante da arca, embora não se vissem do pátio exterior; ali ficaram até ao dia de hoje. 10 Na arca estavam somente as duas placas de pedra que Moisés ali colocara, no monte Horebe, quando o Senhor fez uma aliança com o povo de Israel, no tempo em que deixara o Egito.
11 Depois de terem executado as cerimónias da sua própria purificação, todos os sacerdotes participaram das cerimónias, sem se preocuparem com as funções de cada um. 12 Os levitas davam louvores ao Senhor, quando os sacerdotes saíam do lugar santíssimo. Como cantores havia Asafe, Hemã, Jedutun e todos os seus filhos e irmãos, vestidos com tecidos de linho fino; mantinham-se no lado oriental do altar. Este coro era acompanhado por 120 sacerdotes que tocavam cornetas. 13 Outros tocavam címbalos, liras e harpas. Tanto a banda como o coro louvavam harmoniosamente e agradeciam ao Senhor. Os cantores eram acompanhados e intercalados com partes musicais, pelos instrumentos, e cantavam:
“O Senhor é bom!
A sua bondade é eterna!”
Nessa altura, a glória do Senhor, vindo como uma nuvem luminosa, encheu o templo. 14 Os sacerdotes não puderam cumprir o seu serviço, porque a glória do Senhor enchia o santuário.

5 Thus all the work that Solomon made for the house of the Lord was finished: and Solomon brought in all the things that David his father had dedicated; and the silver, and the gold, and all the instruments, put he among the treasures of the house of God.
2 Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, which is Zion.
3 Wherefore all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto the king in the feast which was in the seventh month.
4 And all the elders of Israel came; and the Levites took up the ark.
5 And they brought up the ark, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, these did the priests and the Levites bring up.
6 Also king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel that were assembled unto him before the ark, sacrificed sheep and oxen, which could not be told nor numbered for multitude.
7 And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the Lord unto his place, to the oracle of the house, into the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims:
8 For the cherubims spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above.
9 And they drew out the staves of the ark, that the ends of the staves were seen from the ark before the oracle; but they were not seen without. And there it is unto this day.
10 There was nothing in the ark save the two tables which Moses put therein at Horeb, when the Lord made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.
11 And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place: (for all the priests that were present were sanctified, and did not then wait by course:
12 Also the Levites which were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:)
13 It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the Lord, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord;
14 So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.
