犹大王约哈斯
36 犹大人在耶路撒冷立约西亚的儿子约哈斯接替他父亲做王。 2 约哈斯二十三岁登基，在耶路撒冷执政三个月。 3 埃及王在耶路撒冷废掉他，并要求犹大向埃及进贡三点四吨银子、三十四公斤金子。 4 埃及王另立约哈斯的兄弟以利雅敬为王统治犹大和耶路撒冷，给他改名为约雅敬，并把约哈斯带到埃及。

5 约雅敬二十五岁登基，在耶路撒冷执政十一年。他做他的上帝耶和华视为恶的事。 6 巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒起兵攻打他，用铜链把他锁着带到巴比伦。 7 尼布甲尼撒把耶和华殿里的一些器皿带到巴比伦，放在他在巴比伦的王宫里[a]。 8 约雅敬其他的事及可憎行径和恶迹都记在以色列和犹大的列王史上。他儿子约雅斤继位。

9 约雅斤十八岁[b]登基，在耶路撒冷执政三个月零十天。他做耶和华视为恶的事。 10 那年春天，尼布甲尼撒王派人把他和耶和华殿里的贵重器皿一同带到巴比伦。尼布甲尼撒另立约雅斤的叔叔[c]西底迦做犹大和耶路撒冷的王。

11 西底迦二十一岁登基，在耶路撒冷执政十一年。 12 他做他的上帝耶和华视为恶的事，耶利米先知向他传讲耶和华的话，他仍不肯在耶利米面前谦卑下来。

13 尼布甲尼撒曾让他奉上帝的名起誓，他却背叛了尼布甲尼撒。他顽固不化，不肯归向以色列的上帝耶和华。 14 所有祭司长和民众也都仿效外族人的一切可憎行径，犯了大罪，玷污了耶和华在耶路撒冷使之圣洁的殿。 15 他们祖先的上帝耶和华因为怜爱祂的子民和祂的居所，就不断派使者来劝告他们。 16 他们却嘲弄耶和华上帝的使者，藐视祂的话，嘲笑祂的先知，以致祂的愤怒临到祂的子民身上，无可挽救。
17 耶和华使迦勒底人的王起兵攻打他们，在他们的圣殿里用刀击杀他们的壮丁，毫不怜悯少男少女、老人和年高者。耶和华把他们全部交在他的手中。 18 上帝殿里的大小器皿，以及耶和华殿里、王宫里和众官员的所有珍宝，都被他带到巴比伦去了。 19 迦勒底人焚烧上帝的殿，拆毁耶路撒冷的城墙，并且焚烧所有的宫殿，毁坏其中所有珍贵的器皿。 20 没有被杀戮的人都被掳往巴比伦，做他和他子孙的奴隶，直到波斯帝国的时代。 21 这就应验了耶和华借耶利米之口所说的话：这片土地享受了安息，它在荒凉中守安息，直到满了七十年。

36 Dân Giu-đa chọn Giô-A-cha, con trai Giô-xia lên làm vua ở Giê-ru-sa-lem, nối ngôi cha mình. 2 Giô-A-cha được hai mươi ba tuổi khi lên ngôi vua và trị vì tại Giê-ru-sa-lem được ba tháng. 3 Sau đó Nê-cô vua Ai-cập truất ngôi của Giô-A-cha ở Giê-ru-sa-lem. Nê-cô buộc dân Giu-đa đóng triều cống khoảng ba tấn rưỡi [a] bạc và khoảng ba mươi lăm kí [b] vàng. 4 Vua Ai-cập đặt Ê-li-a-kim, anh Giô-A-cha, làm vua Giu-đa ở Giê-ru-sa-lem và đổi tên ông là Giê-hô-gia-kim. Còn Giô-A-cha, em ông, thì Nê-cô mang sang Ai-cập.

5 Giê-hô-gia-kim được hai mươi lăm tuổi khi lên ngôi vua và trị vì mười một năm ở Giê-ru-sa-lem. Ông làm điều ác trước mặt CHÚA.
6 Nê-bu-cát-nết-xa, vua Ba-by-lôn tấn công Giu-đa, bắt sống Giê-hô-gia-kim, xiềng lại và đày qua Ba-by-lôn. 7 Nê-bu-cát-nết-xa tháo gỡ một số đồ trong đền thờ CHÚA mang sang Ba-by-lôn và đặt trong cung điện mình. 8 Các việc khác Giê-hô-gia-kim làm, những điều gớm ghiếc ông làm, tất cả những tội lỗi ông đều được chép trong sách các vua Ít-ra-en và Giu-đa. Rồi Giê-hô-gia-kin, con trai Giê-hô-gia-kim lên nối ngôi vua.

9 Giê-hô-gia-kin được mười tám tuổi khi lên ngôi vua Giu-đa và trị vì ở Giê-ru-sa-lem được ba tháng mười ngày. Ông làm điều ác trước mặt CHÚA. 10 Đến mùa xuân, vua Nê-bu-cát-nết-xa cho triệu Giê-hô-gia-kin và giải ông qua Ba-by-lôn cùng một số của báu trong đền thờ. Rồi vua Nê-bu-cát-nết-xa đặt em của Giê-hô-gia-kin là Xê-đê-kia lên làm vua Giu-đa và Giê-ru-sa-lem.

11 Xê-đê-kia được hai mươi mốt tuổi khi lên ngôi vua Giu-đa và trị vì mười một năm ở Giê-ru-sa-lem. 12 Xê-đê-kia làm điều ác trước mặt CHÚA là Thượng Đế mình. Nhà tiên tri Giê-rê-mi truyền sứ điệp của CHÚA cho vua, nhưng Xê-đê-kia không vâng theo.
13 Vua Xê-đê-kia phản nghịch cùng vua Nê-bu-cát-nết-xa là người đã buộc ông nhân danh Thượng Đế trung thành với mình. Nhưng vua Xê-đê-kia ương ngạnh và không vâng theo CHÚA, Thượng Đế của Ít-ra-en. 14 Ngoài ra các lãnh tụ của các thầy tế lễ và dân Giu-đa gian ác hơn trước, họ bắt chước những gương xấu của các dân khác. CHÚA đã làm cho đền thờ Ngài nên thánh nhưng các lãnh tụ đó làm cho đền thờ ra nhơ nhớp.

15 CHÚA là Thượng Đế của tổ tiên họ đã sai các sứ giả cảnh cáo họ nhiều lần vì Ngài thương xót họ và đền thờ Ngài. 16 Nhưng họ chế giễu các sứ giả của Thượng Đế và ghét các lời cảnh cáo của Ngài. Họ nhất định không nghe các nhà tiên tri cho đến cuối cùng; Ngài quá bực mình với dân Ngài đến nỗi không ai có thể can ngăn Ngài được nữa. 17 Vì thế Thượng Đế đưa vua Ba-by-lôn đến tấn công dân chúng Giu-đa và Giê-ru-sa-lem. [c] Vua giết những trai tráng ngay cả khi họ đang ở trong đền thờ. Ông không nương tay với thanh niên hay thiếu nữ, người già cả hay bệnh tật gì hết. Thượng Đế trao tất cả mọi người vào tay Nê-bu-cát-nết-xa. 18 Nê-bu-cát-nết-xa lấy hết những vật dụng trong đền thờ Thượng Đế, từ lớn đến nhỏ mang qua Ba-by-lôn. Vua cũng lấy các của báu trong đền thờ CHÚA, trong cung vua và trong nhà của các sĩ quan hoàng gia. 19 Vua Nê-bu-cát-nết-xa và quân đội ông phóng hỏa đền thờ Thượng Đế, phá sập vách thành Giê-ru-sa-lem và thiêu hủy cung vua. Họ lấy hay tiêu hủy tất cả những gì quí giá trong Giê-ru-sa-lem. 20 Nê-bu-cát-nết-xa bắt sống và đày qua Ba-by-lôn những người còn sống sót, bắt họ làm tôi mọi cho mình và dòng dõi mình. Họ ở đó làm tôi mọi cho đến khi đế quốc Ba-tư đánh bại Ba-by-lôn. 21 Cho nên những gì CHÚA phán cùng Ít-ra-en qua nhà tiên tri Giê-rê-mi đã thành sự thật: Xứ trở thành hoang vu trong bảy mươi năm [d] để đền bù cho những năm Sa-bát nghỉ ngơi [e] mà họ không tôn trọng.
22 Vào năm đầu tiên khi vua Xi-ru [f] lên ngôi nước Ba-tư vì CHÚA giục lòng Xi-ru, nên ông ban chỉ thị trên toàn đế quốc để lời CHÚA phán qua nhà tiên tri Giê-rê-mi thành sự thật.
Vua viết rằng:
23 Xi-ru, vua Ba-tư, ra chỉ thị rằng: CHÚA, Thượng Đế trên trời đã ban cho ta mọi nước trên đất và Ngài chỉ định ta xây một đền thờ cho Ngài tại Giê-ru-sa-lem trong Giu-đa. Vậy nguyện CHÚA là Thượng Đế ở cùng tất cả các ngươi là dân Ngài. Các ngươi được phép tự do trở về Giê-ru-sa-lem.

36 1 And the people(A) of the land took Jehoahaz son of Josiah and made him king in Jerusalem in place of his father.
Jehoahaz King of Judah(B)
2 Jehoahaz[a] was twenty-three years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. 3 The king of Egypt dethroned him in Jerusalem and imposed on Judah a levy of a hundred talents[b] of silver and a talent[c] of gold. 4 The king of Egypt made Eliakim, a brother of Jehoahaz, king over Judah and Jerusalem and changed Eliakim’s name to Jehoiakim. But Necho(C) took Eliakim’s brother Jehoahaz and carried him off to Egypt.(D)
Jehoiakim King of Judah(E)
5 Jehoiakim(F) was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem eleven years. He did evil in the eyes of the Lord his God. 6 Nebuchadnezzar(G) king of Babylon attacked him and bound him with bronze shackles to take him to Babylon.(H) 7 Nebuchadnezzar also took to Babylon articles from the temple of the Lord and put them in his temple[d] there.(I)
8 The other events of Jehoiakim’s reign, the detestable things he did and all that was found against him, are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah. And Jehoiachin his son succeeded him as king.

9 Jehoiachin(K) was eighteen[e] years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months and ten days. He did evil in the eyes of the Lord. 10 In the spring, King Nebuchadnezzar sent for him and brought him to Babylon,(L) together with articles of value from the temple of the Lord, and he made Jehoiachin’s uncle,[f] Zedekiah, king over Judah and Jerusalem.

11 Zedekiah(N) was twenty-one years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem eleven years. 12 He did evil in the eyes of the Lord(O) his God and did not humble(P) himself before Jeremiah the prophet, who spoke the word of the Lord. 13 He also rebelled against King Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him take an oath(Q) in God’s name. He became stiff-necked(R) and hardened his heart and would not turn to the Lord, the God of Israel. 14 Furthermore, all the leaders of the priests and the people became more and more unfaithful,(S) following all the detestable practices of the nations and defiling the temple of the Lord, which he had consecrated in Jerusalem.

15 The Lord, the God of their ancestors, sent word to them through his messengers(V) again and again,(W) because he had pity on his people and on his dwelling place. 16 But they mocked God’s messengers, despised his words and scoffed(X) at his prophets until the wrath(Y) of the Lord was aroused against his people and there was no remedy.(Z) 17 He brought up against them the king of the Babylonians,[g](AA) who killed their young men with the sword in the sanctuary, and did not spare young men(AB) or young women, the elderly or the infirm.(AC) God gave them all into the hands of Nebuchadnezzar.(AD) 18 He carried to Babylon all the articles(AE) from the temple of God, both large and small, and the treasures of the Lord’s temple and the treasures of the king and his officials. 19 They set fire(AF) to God’s temple(AG) and broke down the wall(AH) of Jerusalem; they burned all the palaces and destroyed(AI) everything of value there.(AJ)
20 He carried into exile(AK) to Babylon the remnant, who escaped from the sword, and they became servants(AL) to him and his successors until the kingdom of Persia came to power. 21 The land enjoyed its sabbath rests;(AM) all the time of its desolation it rested,(AN) until the seventy years(AO) were completed in fulfillment of the word of the Lord spoken by Jeremiah.
22 In the first year of Cyrus(AP) king of Persia, in order to fulfill the word of the Lord spoken by Jeremiah, the Lord moved the heart of Cyrus king of Persia to make a proclamation throughout his realm and also to put it in writing:
23 “This is what Cyrus king of Persia says:
“‘The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and he has appointed(AQ) me to build a temple for him at Jerusalem in Judah. Any of his people among you may go up, and may the Lord their God be with them.’”

Reinado y destronamiento de Joacaz

36 Entonces el pueblo de la tierra tomó a Joacaz hijo de Josías, y lo hizo rey en lugar de su padre en Jerusalén. 2 De veintitrés años era Joacaz cuando comenzó a reinar, y tres meses reinó en Jerusalén. 3 Y el rey de Egipto lo quitó de Jerusalén, y condenó la tierra a pagar cien talentos de plata y uno de oro. 4 Y estableció el rey de Egipto a Eliaquim hermano de Joacaz por rey sobre Judá y Jerusalén, y le mudó el nombre en Joacim; y a Joacaz su hermano tomó Necao, y lo llevó a Egipto.(A)

5 Cuando comenzó a reinar Joacim(B) era de veinticinco años, y reinó once años en Jerusalén; e hizo lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová su Dios. 6 Y subió contra él Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia,(C) y lo llevó a Babilonia atado con cadenas. 7 También llevó Nabucodonosor a Babilonia de los utensilios de la casa de Jehová, y los puso en su templo en Babilonia. 8 Los demás hechos de Joacim, y las abominaciones que hizo, y lo que en él se halló, está escrito en el libro de los reyes de Israel y de Judá; y reinó en su lugar Joaquín su hijo.

11 De veintiún años era Sedequías(F) cuando comenzó a reinar, y once años reinó en Jerusalén. 12 E hizo lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová su Dios, y no se humilló delante del profeta Jeremías, que le hablaba de parte de Jehová. 13 Se rebeló asimismo contra Nabucodonosor,(G) al cual había jurado por Dios; y endureció su cerviz, y obstinó su corazón para no volverse a Jehová el Dios de Israel. 14 También todos los principales sacerdotes, y el pueblo, aumentaron la iniquidad, siguiendo todas las abominaciones de las naciones, y contaminando la casa de Jehová, la cual él había santificado en Jerusalén.
15 Y Jehová el Dios de sus padres envió constantemente palabra a ellos por medio de sus mensajeros, porque él tenía misericordia de su pueblo y de su habitación. 16 Mas ellos hacían escarnio de los mensajeros de Dios, y menospreciaban sus palabras, burlándose de sus profetas, hasta que subió la ira de Jehová contra su pueblo, y no hubo ya remedio.

17 Por lo cual trajo contra ellos al rey de los caldeos,(H) que mató a espada a sus jóvenes en la casa de su santuario, sin perdonar joven ni doncella, anciano ni decrépito; todos los entregó en sus manos. 18 Asimismo todos los utensilios de la casa de Dios, grandes y chicos, los tesoros de la casa de Jehová, y los tesoros de la casa del rey y de sus príncipes, todo lo llevó a Babilonia. 19 Y quemaron la casa de Dios,(I) y rompieron el muro de Jerusalén, y consumieron a fuego todos sus palacios, y destruyeron todos sus objetos deseables. 20 Los que escaparon de la espada fueron llevados cautivos a Babilonia, y fueron siervos de él y de sus hijos, hasta que vino el reino de los persas; 21 para que se cumpliese la palabra de Jehová por boca de Jeremías, hasta que la tierra hubo gozado de reposo; porque todo el tiempo de su asolamiento reposó, hasta que los setenta años fueron cumplidos.(J)

22 Mas al primer año de Ciro rey de los persas, para que se cumpliese la palabra de Jehová por boca de Jeremías, Jehová despertó el espíritu de Ciro rey de los persas, el cual hizo pregonar de palabra y también por escrito, por todo su reino, diciendo: 23 Así dice Ciro, rey de los persas: Jehová, el Dios de los cielos, me ha dado todos los reinos de la tierra; y él me ha mandado que le edifique casa en Jerusalén,(K) que está en Judá.
