27 因为你听了我指着这地方和这里的居民所说的话，就心里感动，在 神面前谦卑；你既然在我的面前谦卑，又撕裂衣服，在我的面前哭泣，所以我就垂听你的祷告；这是耶和华的宣告。 28 我必使你归到你的列祖那里去，你必平平安安归入你的坟墓。我所要降在这地方和这地上的居民身上的一切灾祸，你必不会亲眼看见。’”他们就把这番话回复王去了。

New International Version
27 Because your heart was responsive(A) and you humbled(B) yourself before God when you heard what he spoke against this place and its people, and because you humbled yourself before me and tore your robes and wept in my presence, I have heard you, declares the Lord. 28 Now I will gather you to your ancestors,(C) and you will be buried in peace. Your eyes will not see all the disaster I am going to bring on this place and on those who live here.’”(D)
So they took her answer back to the king.
29 Then the king called together all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem.
